Chapter Twenty-two
Another student had been attacked. But unlike before with Luna, this time the student died. The second year Hufflepuff boy had been looking around for his cat that had gone missing that afternoon. As Hermione looked down at what remained of him, she knew without a doubt that he never stood a chance.
“Was he muggle born?” she asked quietly.
“Yes,” Snape answered, sounding grim.
She pursed her lips as she went on to ask, “How many familiars have disappeared since the beginning of the school year?”
Glaring over to her, he snapped, “What does that have…”
“Hold on,” Lucius told him. “There’s a point to the question. Answer it.”
Frowning he muttered, “Several.”
“With the majority being what? Cats?” she inquired.
He nodded slowly. “All of them actually.”
“Isn’t that odd?” she asked him. “A few doing so are not so out of the ordinary, as when cats become ill they tend to hide somewhere they feel safe. They end up sadly dying in the hiding spot.”
“Familiars leave all the time!”
“But not cats,” she told Snape. “They know what side their bread is buttered. That’s why they make such great familiars.” She looked over to Lucius. “I want a new one, by the way. I’ve been missing Crookshanks more lately.”
“Okay,” he answered, but went on to ask of Severus, “How many went missing?”
“Ten,” he muttered. “Why are you asking these questions?” He looked over to Lucius. “Very pointed questions I might add.”
“I have suspicions,” she told him. “But until we have proof, it means nothing.”
Severus studied her for a moment before nodding. He looked over to Lucius, who was moving all the closer to Hermione. His friend’s eyes were flicking around as he studied the aurors, many of who were men. Men, it would appear, that were standing far too close to his witch. Severus was about to say something when Hermione turned towards the tall blond, going on her tiptoes, and whispered something to him.
Lucius stood there saying nothing for a time. He looked into her golden whiskey colored eyes. “Very well, don’t come to find us. We’ll make ourselves known later.”
Hermione waved to Severus, as she was giggling and being pulled away by Lucius.

Hermione didn’t know they had arrived to the location until Lucius had scooped her up and placed her onto an ornate bed. He kissed her lips, as he joined her there.
“Now tell me what had you asking me to take you to the one location I could think of where we could, and I quote, fuck each other raw, end quote.”
“Several reasons,” she murmured. “One, the aurors were making you upset.”
“They were far too close to you,” he grumbled. “They could be a threat.”
“Shh, no they wouldn’t be. You won’t let them,” she assured him. “Besides five are happily married, two are gay, and that last one smelled like bad cheese.” He frowned at her words. “Poor hygiene.”
“And you told me that because?”
“That there was no threat of me leaving or them trying anything,” she told him, slipping her arms around his neck. “The second reason is because I wanted to ask you a few things and I didn’t want you to feel uncomfortable with me asking in front of others.”
He grunted at that even as he was leaning down to nuzzle her neck.
Hermione combed her fingers through his hair, scratching the back of his neck lightly. “Lucius, are you part veela?”
He lifted his head ever so slightly. “Does it matter?”
“No, but I’m curious,” she admitted.
Sighing heavily he told her, “Yes, along with having—and don’t ask me how, because I haven’t a clue—phoenix traits.”
“The fire and the healing,” she breathed, lifting herself slightly onto her elbows and nipping at his jaw. “Draco too?”
“Pretty much so,” he replied, hissing as she dragged her teeth over his chin, lapping at it afterwards. “Anything else?”
“Two more things,” she murmured, pulling her robes up over her hips and revealing her pant free state. “One, I need help doing some of the research, as I feel very distracted lately due to the fact that I need to be fucked quite frequently.”
“Luna,” he muttered, watching her turn around to her belly and lifting her ass up. “And the other?”
“If you don’t fuck me soon, I’m going to scream,” she panted.
Smiling he kissed her mouth lightly. “You’re going to scream even if I do fuck you, love. That’s the joy of you, Miss Granger. You aren’t what anyone would call a silent lover.” She yelped as he bit her shoulder lightly. “I do expect you will more than likely be hoarse by the time we’re finished.”
Smiling impishly, she rolled him over to his back and turned around to face him as she straddled his body. Leaning forward, traced his full lips with her index finger, as she whispered, “Well, one of us will be hoarse that’s a given.”
“Who is the one in charge here?” Lucius asked, even as Hermione was unbuttoning his shirt slowly.
“Hmm, more times than not that would be you,” she stated, but then sighed with appreciation at the sight of his taunt chest and abdomen muscles. “But if I didn’t usurp authority every now and again, life would be deathly boring.” She looked back to his eyes as she yanked her robes completely off and tossed them aside.
“When you put it like that, it places your actions into perspective,” he whispered, watching as she was tossing off her bra.
Letting out a little giggle, she leaned down and kissed his lips playfully. “That’s one of the things I love about you, Lucius.”
“What would that be?” he asked, as she pulled him up into a sitting position.
Smiling she said, “You’re smart as well as sexy. I can’t even begin to tell you how turned on that makes me feel.”
“So if you found Severus this way…”
“No,” she interrupted him, scraping his shirt off. “Not really my type.”
“What is your type, if I may be so bold as to ask?”
Kissing him over his heart, she sighed, “Tall Machiavellian blonds with great big…” She looked into his eyes. “Beautiful smiles.”
He grinned slowly and began tickling her, making her roar with laughter—the most glorious sound Lucius had ever heard in his life.

It's time once again for the review sing-a-long! The answer to yesterday's review sing-a-long was "Hazy Shade of Winter" performed by Simon & Garfunkel as well as the Bangles (soundtrack of the movie Less than Zero). Cookies go out to happybunny and Pegg! If I missed anyone, I'm sorry.
And here it is the next song in our review sing-a-long! "I haven't reviewed you in quite a while. I was down the hall just passing time" Once again no hints. Thanks for reading and reviewing! Have a totally awesome day!
