Party

This chapter was beta-ed by my awesome beta Molls! Thank you so much!

"It's all good. It's all good. Oh no! It's all swollen!" Hermione cried. "It's all bruised." Hermione had fallen while chasing after Draco. This was all his fault.

He should have just given her the knickers. Then none of this would have happened. "Don't worry, Hermione. I will have my family healer come in and he'll fix you up." Blaise reassured her. Hermione sniffled.

"Let me carry you, Hermione." Draco picked her up and put her in the living room. Spitt popped in with a bag of ice for Miss Hermione.

Hermione's leg was now elevated and there was ice to take the swelling down. She glared at Draco.

"Baby, I told you I was sorry. I even gave you your knickers back." No matter what Draco told her, she didn't want to hear it.
She was afraid that with her leg swollen that she won't be able to go the New Year's party. Blaise said his family healer would fix her and Hermione hoped that once the healer arrived, all would be well. Draco felt so bad that Hermione had fallen, he wished it was him. She looked like she was in so much pain.

Hermione watched from a distance as Blaise hopelessly flirted with Jennifer. She should give him a chance. Blaise wasn't a bad guy. He was probably what Jennifer needs right now. Hermione giggled, momentarily distracted from her pain.

Jennifer asked Spitt to bring her Blaise's favorite or lucky pair of boxers. Every guy had a pair and she threatened to burn his to ashes if he didn't give her back her sash to her robe. She was using magic to hold her robe in place for now.

Holding the boxers, Jennifer of course had to tease him for a bit. She put the pair of dark green boxers against her hips and asked how they looked on her. Blaise wore those every time he had a quidditch match.

Afraid for his lucky boxers, he quickly handed her the sash and she threw his boxers at him. Then a lot of death threats came at him from Jennifer. Hermione's scream interrupted the death threats and they rushed over to see what happened.

They found Draco kneeling down to Hermione with her panties on his head as she held her ankle protectively from Draco's touch. He hadn't even touched her yet and she was already yelling about the pain.

Hermione was interrupted from her thoughts on Blaise and Jennifer when she saw Draco go near her ankle to check it out. "Ow!" Hermione yelped.

Draco looked at her confused. "I didn't touch you yet."

Hermione growled at him as if she was Cheeko. Draco was taken back by this and growled back at her. Jennifer and Blaise watched as they growled at each other.

"To think I call him my best mate," Blaise mumbled.

"But at least he isn't related by blood," Jennifer muttered.

A healer was going to come in and check out Hermione's ankle. That is if she would let him go near it.

Hermione stood in front of her mirror as she looked herself over. She had to admit that she didn't look too bad. She had on a blood red ball gown. Its straps hung low on her shoulders. She looked at her sky-high heels, God her feet were going to be killing her!

Hermione's hair was piled up high and had a waterfall of curls cascading down her neck. Draco had asked that she come by his room before she went to meet Ms. Zabini.

"There is no way in hell I'm going out there wearing this!" Jennifer yelled, stepping into Hermione's view. Jennifer was wearing a strapless black ball gown. Her long hair was up in a bun and around the bun were diamonds. She looked beautiful. Hermione had never seen Jennifer wear anything but jeans and some type of shirt.

"You look beautiful," Hermione stated simply.

"Beautiful?! I look like a bloody clown," Jennifer yelled, grabbing her dress by mid thigh and shaking the hell out of it.

Blaise knocked softly before walking into the room. "Draco asked me to tell you to move your ass. He wishes to speak with you some time night," Blaise said.

Hermione didn't reply, but she just turned and left the room, leaving Jennifer alone with Blaise. "You look smashing, love. You don't look like a clown." Jennifer blushed. Blaise had heard what she said.

Jennifer HAD planned to wear something simple. But as soon as Ms. Zabini saw what she was going to wear, it was out of the question. Then she had Spitt drop the dress she was wearing now off. Jennifer walked over to the mirror Hermione was at just moments before. Blaise walked up behind her.

"I went out and bought this for you. I do hope you like it," Blaise said as he put a beautiful diamond choker around her neck.

"Th - Thank you." Jennifer muttered. "Come. Let's go. I'm sure Draco has already hauled Hermione into the ball room." Blaise held out his arm for Jennifer to take it.

Surprising both him and herself, Jennifer took his arm instead of ripping it off.

Many people were already downstairs when Draco and Hermione walked down. Hermione saw Harry and Ginny. Harry look dashing and Ginny looked nice as well. She had on a soft pink gown. Hermione left the warmth of Draco's arm and went to Harry's side.

"For some reason this isn't how I would picture a Slytherin New Year's party," Harrry said when Hermione was standing in front of him.

Hermione laughed. Then she felt Draco's arms wrap around her waist protectively. When Draco spotted Jennifer, he was shocked. "Is that really Jennifer?" Harry vocalized what Draco was thinking.

Hermione giggled. "Yep."

Several men had asked Draco if they could dance with Hermione. They were older than Hermione and probably married. He agreed reluctantly, knowing she was flattered to be asked. Draco could always come in and steal her away from them.

He was teasing the men with Hermione. Giving them only a taste of what was his and what they sure as hell couldn't have. Blaise was dancing with Jennifer, of course, showing her off to the other men, as well.

Though Jennifer didn't realize it, the men were jealous of Blaise, thinking that she belonged to him. Even though that wasn't exactly the truth, who was he to correct them of what they were thinking? If they wanted to think that Jennifer was his, so be it! He was pulled out of his thoughts when Jennifer asked a question, "So where did you learn how to ball room dance?"

"Well, before I was selected to go to Hogwarts, I went to a private magic school. They were teaching all witches and wizards to ball room dance," Blaise explained. "What about you?"

Jennifer didn't expect him to ask where she had learned how to dance. She hated dancing but since Ms. Zabini insisted that she dance with Blaise, she did. "My father taught me when I was younger," Jennifer said quietly not really wanting to talk about her father.

Blaise took that hint and left it at that. When the song ended. They sat back down. "So, Blaise when are we leaving? Soon, I assume," Draco asked. Everyone seem confused except for those two.

"Are we going to leave the party?" Hermione asked. "Yes, love. But we are going to a better one without these old blokes," Draco explained.

"Do we have to change?" Ginny asked.

"No. Everyone else who knows about the party will be in ball gowns and dress robes."

"I knew this couldn't be the Slytherin party that had everyone talking in school," Harry said.

Blaise and Draco only smirked.

Now they were in a different part of the house. It was a huge room. Every girl that walked through the door couldn't walk in unless she took a shot of some type of liquid at the door first. All the girls participated willingly--even Jennifer.

Hermione took one as well, but she was going to make sure to ask Blaise or Draco what it was later. Draco, Blaise, Harry, Hermione, Jennifer, and Ginny stood in front of the crownd of people.

Draco took out his wand and used it as if it was a microphone. "Hello and good evening. Usually there isn't any rules but this year there will be a few," Draco started. Blaise grabbed the wand.

"It is very simple. The three ladies behind us are off limits to anyone and everyone. If you can't follow that rule, well you remind what happen to Jake Foster?" Blaise stated. Draco took back his wand.

"Yeah, well that will be child's play compared to what we'll do to you. And -- " Hermione snatched the wand away from Draco and stepping in front of him. "That goes for the three men in front of you as well. They are completely off limits. I might be a bookworm but I assure you. Touch what is mine and--" Draco took his wand back.

"Now, now Hermione be nice. The ladies are used to having me for their enjoyment." Draco said.

Hermione started to poke his chest roughly with her index finger. "If I were you I'd be more worried about what I'll do to you then the ladies."

Before Draco died by Hermione Blaise took the wand. "Well enjoy the party, mates!"
