Celebrations
A week later, all exams had been taken and were now well and truly out of the way Dumbledore had decided to have a celebration now that Voldermort was out of the way, the Hogwarts train was to leave the day after term ended as the celebrative ball was to be on the night that term ended, Aphrodite had overheard Hermione tell Ron and Harry that she thought this was a splendid way to end their time at Hogwarts, some people didn\'t see it this way Draco Malfoy didn\'t want to celebrate as his dad after only just returning from Azkaban had been sent back, he saw him being taken away and had to surrender the wands he had confiscated off Aphrodite, Severus and Harry, another one who didn\'t really want to celebrate was Severus but Albus was making him turn up.
On the night of the ball Aphrodite had just finished getting ready when someone knocked on her door, when she answered she saw two beaming men standing there, Remus and Sirius both decided to escort her to the ball, both had flowers which she put in a vase before they dragged her off to the ball for a good old dance, Remus was dancing with Aphrodite at the time, when he felt a tap on his shoulder.
\"Mind if I cut in? Wont be long, just need to say something as I\'m not stopping at this wretched thing much longer\" came a silky voice, Aphrodite looked to see who it was, there stood Severus taking over the dance, they danced all way through one song and then onto the next song.
\"Will you be back next yeah Aphrodite?\" He muttered, she looked into his eyes
\"Indeed I will\" She smiled, he just looked vacant
\"Right\" they danced in silence after that, Aphrodite paid more attention to the music seeing as there was no conversation going on.
So many words for the broken heart

When the song stopped Severus pulled away and looked at Aphrodite in eyes, she was about to speak but he put his fingers on her lips and said sorry, then he departed leaving a slightly confused Aphrodite in his wake, she signalled the Remus and Sirius that she would be bakc in a moment and went off in search of Severus, when she found him he was on the balcony.
\"What is wrong with you?\" she demanded in a confident tone
\"Nothing\" Aphrodite put her arms round him and leaned in to kiss him but he pushed her away, she didn\'t know how to take this.
\"Sorry Aphrodite-\"
\"Sorry? Im lost, there was a time you would have kissed me back and more, whats changed?!?\" She shouted at him, he was rejecting her, she never could take rejectment well.
\"Too much has happened, I am sorry\" He muttered
\"Ooh right yeah, what ever, more like your too scared of commitment and women, next time don\'t try and start something you have no intention of finishing otherwise people get hurt!\" Aphrodite wanted to go into a long tirade but Severus started to walk off \"YEAH THAT\'S IT WALK OFF, WALK AWAY NOW AND-\" She shouted whilst trying to keep her tears inside, she couldn\'t keep them in though he bhe burst into tears, she didn\'t want him to see her cry so she turned away
\"If you hadn\'t have gone for the better looking guy then maybe we would have had something great\"
\"WHAT??? Severus you complete prat, he didn\'t snap at me or make me feel like I was invisible\"
\"Indeed, of course you wasn\'t invisible to him, you were a walking punch bag living in denial\"
Aphrodite didn\'t take the last comment, she walked over to him and slapped him across the face, she tried to slap him again but he caught her hand and held her from doing so.
\"What\'s going on?\" Albus had walked in and all he saw was Aphrodite being held back by Severus, who let go as soon as he realised Albus was there.
\"Nothing Sir\" Severus said looking at the floor.
\"Aphrodite?\" Albus turned to her
\"Nothing - good day Albus\" Aphrodite left the balcony in tears and went straight to Remus and Sirius who asked her what was wrong, she put it down to emotion and tiredness, they didn\'t believe her but didn\'t ask questions. After Aphrodite had calmed down and had danced a little bit she declared that she was going to bed and that she\'d see them on the train the next morning.
