Chapter Twenty-one
Despite wanting to keep to the bedroom, Lucius prodded Hermione out to the breakfast room. Luna and Harry were already there, eating quietly. Hermione stopped in her tracks, wondering what to do next.
Harry got up and went over to her, hugging her. “You should have told me, but I understand why you didn’t.” He pulled back, tilting his head slightly as he looked at her. “There’s something different about you, but I just can’t put my finger on what.”
“I haven’t done a thing,” she replied, a bit confused. Putting it behind her, she looked over to the table. Making a hum of appreciation, she sat down and proceeded to serve herself enough food to feed a small army.
“You never…” Harry started only to have Lucius poke him in his side.
“Eat as much as you want, love,” the older wizard told her. “You must tell the house elves what you like to eat. I’m sure they would love to prepare them for you if you want them.”
“I need to think about that,” she replied, loading up her fork. “These eggs Benedict are excellent.” Hermione stopped eating, staring at her plate and looked over to Lucius. “I’m making a right pig of myself, aren’t I?”
“You tend to only eat two meals a day,” he said to her as he sat in his seat next to her at the head of the table. “And with the calories you burn with your training as well as just being you, I think you can overindulge without worry.”
“I’ll be going back to the school today,” Harry announced. “We should be doing some investigating. I’ll send out an owl with my findings.”
“Are you certain it’s safe enough for you to go back?” Luna asked him, her voice trembling ever so slightly.
“You’ll stay here,” Harry told her, taking her hand. “I’ll bring over your books and some of your clothing. Headmaster Snape told me earlier that he’ll have your assignments sent here for you to keep up with your school work as well.”
She smiled sweetly. “Thank you, Harry.” Luna looked over to Hermione. “Would you like some carrot juice?”
“Carrot juice?” She thought it over. “That sounds good.”
A pitcher of ice cold carrot juice along with glasses appeared on the table and Luna served her friend a glass.
“Here you go,” she murmured, setting it next to her reloaded plate.
Harry just kept watching in awe as he best friend, who had never been much for eating breakfast managed to finish off two servings along with several helpings of carrot juice. She excused herself quietly and went off to take a long soak in the whirlpool.
Harry turned to Luna and asked, “How did you know she would want carrot juice?”
“I didn’t,” she answered lightly. “It has more than a few of the vitamins and minerals that she needs in her diet now. I also figured it would give her a change of pace from pumpkin juice.”
Frowning he asked, “What do you mean? Why does she need them now?”
“Because she’s pregnant,” she said in a matter of fact tone.
“What?” he exclaimed, looking over to Lucius who nodded. “Why didn’t you say so?”
“Permit me,” Luna said to Lucius, who waved a hand towards the young wizard in a sign of permission to do so. She looked back to Harry and replied, “Do you really want to be the one to point out to Hermione Granger that you knew she was pregnant before she did?”
“Good point,” he whispered. “I best get going. I’m missing classes as we speak.”
Once Harry left, Luna sighed, looking over to Lucius. “Sweet boy, but he really is a Gryffindor to the bone, isn’t he?”

It was a drowsy Hermione that curled up on Lucius’s bed after taking a bath. She had never been one for naps, but the bed looked so comfortable that she couldn’t resist the urge to lie down and curl up. Sleep didn’t come to her as easily as she had hoped and she ended up lying and staring at the ceiling for a good long time.
“Love, what are you doing?” Lucius asked, as he walked into the room.
“I wanted to take a nap,” she murmured, on a yawn as she sat up. “Lucius?”
“What, my sweet?”
“It just occurred to me that we haven’t been using any contraception charms or potions,” she murmured as he lay down next to her.
“No, that we haven’t,” he replied, as she curled up on her place next to him.
“Would you be terribly upset if I were pregnant?”
“No.”
“Okay.” She closed her eyes, humming. “Because I think I’m pregnant.”
“If you say so, love,” he said, stroking her hip as Hermione rubbed her face against his shoulder. “Would you mind if you were pregnant?”
“No, you’ll take care of us,” she whispered, letting out a long sigh and drifted off to sleep.
“That I will,” he replied. “Never doubt it for an instant, my sweet witch.”

In her dream Hermione was walking the halls of Hogwarts. Drifting about aimlessly, searching for something—but she didn’t know what it was. She was on the pathway to the Gryffindor dorm rooms when a noise from behind her caught her attention.
Spinning around she saw a cloaked figure standing there, growling and preparing to attack. There was something oddly familiar about the being, but she couldn’t place her finger on just why.
“I should have killed you when I had my chance,” the man snarled. “What’s one more dead pup?” And then the beast leapt at her.
Letting out a startled scream Hermione lurched up in bed, panting as she tried to gather her thoughts. Lucius, who had been working at his desk, rushed over to her.
“What is it?” he asked, as he was trying to calm her.
Crying against her lover’s shoulder, she whispered hoarsely, “It’s Greyback. He’s in the school, Lucius. He’s in Hogwarts.”

Hi! It's time for the the review sing-a-long!! The answer to yesterday's review sing-a-long was "You Don't Love Me Anymore" by that comic genius "Weird" Al! Cookies go out to Tenar10r, ladysnape, happybunny, Pegg, and Nemesis! If I missed anyone, I'm sorry. The first time I played that song in the car while on the way over to my father's office (I was working for him at the time) he thought it was a real song. You guys should have seen the look on his face the moment "Weird" Al mentioned the hockey team. Priceless.
Okay time for the next sing-a-long song! "Review, review, review/See what's become of me." No hints again. Sorry. Between Youtube, Google, and various other search engines you have more than enough info here. And yes, as a matter of fact, I do think this is a form of cheating. But this is for fun and it isn't like I'm sending out real cookies or anything like it. Thanks and have a fab day!
