Chapter two
A/N :: I actually finished this chapter quickly o_O that surprises even me.
Now are the good things starting to happen, and I have some good ideas for the chapters that will come. I don’t want to say too much right now because I don’t want to spoil the surprise (and teasing is so much better?) With my speed maybe I’ll finish the next chapter in a few days.

The next day was the same as the previous one; he couldn’t stop thinking about Malfoy and what would happen to him. Nobody deserved to die by Voldemort, or by his orders, and certainly not his own father. He could try once more to talk with him, not that he thought it would matter but maybe he could put some sense into that rat head Malfoy has.
Harry was walking down to potion class caught in his own thoughts when he turned a corner and crashed into someone that walked fast his direction.
‘Potter! You little shit.’ It was Crabbe, or Goyle, he could never tell them apart; not that he used much thought on them.
‘Are you following me Potter?’ This time it was Malfoy talking.
‘No, I have potion in fifteen minutes you twit.’ Malfoy was probably expecting another answer because he didn’t say anything else for a few seconds.
‘Why don’t you guys go ahead; I’ll catch up.’ Harry didn’t take his eyes off Malfoy while the matching asses left them; he wasn’t sure what Malfoy had in his mind but was ready for everything. ‘My father sent me a letter yesterday, telling me I will have to come home in six days, apparently someone in my family died and they will read the testament.’ Harry was expecting anything but not Malfoy telling him the truth.
‘And you believe that crap?’
‘I would if you didn’t come to me like seven hours earlier and told me, there is no way you could have heard about it from anyone I know, so I must believe that some of what you say is a little true, but I’m not apologizing.’
‘Fine by me. So what will you do?’
‘I thought you might have had a plan, since you came to me yesterday.’
‘I don’t have any, I just came to warn you, wasn’t really thinking that you would accept my help so I didn’t bother to think further about it.’
‘Great, don’t know why I told you this now. At least I know I will die, maybe I can ask him to do it quickly without any torturing first.’
‘You are such an ass, only because I haven’t thought about anything doesn’t mean I can’t help.’
‘So you are willing to help me?’
‘Why would I come to you if I wasn’t?’
‘Beats me; to scare the shit out of me?’ They both heard students walking down the stairs and knew they had to continue their conversation later.
‘Try to think about possibilities and I’ll do the same thing, meet me tonight at eleven up on the seventh floor.’ Harry could hear Malfoy agree as he left him for the potion class. Malfoy finally decided to let him help, it felt like he just discovered the cure for world hunger. The only thing to do now was try and figure out a plan to help Malfoy.

When Ron and Hermione heard about the news they couldn’t believe it, they all agreed that Malfoy accepting help from Harry was a big step for him; only Harry knew that Malfoy was probably wearing a mask of evil, deep down he was most likely good and gentle.
Up to the time came for Harry to leave for the seventh floor he was trying to think about a plan to save Malfoy. When he left he took the invisibility cloak with him, he didn’t want to be caught on such a great day.
He reached the seventh floor and was disappointed that Malfoy wasn’t there, it was already eleven. He would wait a short while and see if he would come, until then he could prepare a room for their meeting in case he decided show up.
He must have been waiting for almost ten minutes before he could see a blond head walking upwards to him; once he was standing in front of Harry he decided not to say anything about him being late; Malfoy seemed a bit exhausted, probably having trouble getting away from his fan club.
‘Don’t you think they will find us if we stand here?’ Back to his old self Harry noticed, the one with stupid remarks.
‘Were going in here smartass.’ Deep down he knew Malfoy was probably only kidding; he didn’t know how to behave when someone decided to help. ‘Have you thought about anything?’
‘Hide, but I don’t think it’s safe to hide inside the school.’
‘Why not?’
‘Snape knows most of it, and my father can get access to everything if he wishes. Even this room is unsafe, don’t you remember with Umbridge?’
‘But we can make it safer.’
‘Isn’t there anywhere where we can hide outside the school? My father would never suspect that I would leave.’
‘I know about a way to get to the Shrieking Shack, it’s a bit difficult to get there but I don’t think anyone will find you.’
‘That dirty house, isn’t it also haunted?’
‘That’s just a story to scare people.’ He didn’t want to tell him about Remus and what happen there before, even if he might have changed Harry still didn’t trust him completely. ‘And I don’t think you should worry about how dirty it is when the other choice is to be killed.’
‘You have a point there. But you can at least clean up a little before I get there.’
‘I’m not your slave Malfoy, if you want it cleaned then do it yourself.’ The shock that spread out on Malfoy’s face was somehow amusing, he had probably never been asked to clean in his life, not even with magic.
‘Fine, but you gather some food for me.’
‘Deal.’ He was glad that he got a simple task, he could only ask Dobby and he would bring him food. ‘So we agree to use the Shrieking Shack?’ Malfoy nodded like it wasn’t a difficult choice. After their agreement there was silence, Harry wasn’t sure what to say, good night and then leave maybe.
‘Why do you want to help me?’
‘Because I don’t believe you are all that bad, and you don’t deserve to be killed by your own father, especially since you haven’t done anything really bad like Voldemort has.’ He wanted to add his father too but didn’t want to start a fight when things seemed to go so smoothly.
‘How do you get away by calling him by his name?’
‘What?’
‘The Dark Lord, you always call him by his name.’
‘That’s not his real name; his name is too boring and not scary enough so he made up Voldemort.’
‘How can’t you be scared to saying it?’
‘I wasn’t raised with the knowledge that it was a scary name. I also think it’s time to head back now.’
‘Yeah, I bet Crabbe and Goyle are starting to worry about me.’ Harry wasn’t sure he should say something else and was happy when Malfoy suggested another meeting the next night.
‘Sure; the same time?’
‘The same time.’ They didn’t say another word as they both left the room and walked their separate ways.
Back in the common room he noticed that Hermione and Ron had left, it was late and they were probably tired of waiting. Just as well, he didn’t want to start telling them everything that he and Malfoy talked about and then listen to them telling him to watch out. Quickly he went up to his bed, changed and fell asleep within seconds.
