Author's note--Just in case you missed it in the first chapter...
One of my good friends is a great artist, and he consented to draw a couple of the scenes from the "This is the Way I" series. (YAY FOR VISUALS!!!) And he also joined AFF and posted links to them. His name is buffyboy. Please check out the drawings he did for me and leave a comment (on his page)! (I don't ask for reviews for me...but I will ask you to review for him because he put a lot of time and effort into these!) Thanks!
http://heaven-28.deviantart.com/art/harry-and-draco-81432962 This is a link to his drawing of Harry and Draco dancing the tango from "This is the Way I Dance" (Chapters 5 and 6). Check out the junk in Harry's trunk! *giggle* Also, Draco's face is my fault. The description I gave to him was, "Think Draco in drag..." and so he was thinking "ugly man in women's clothing"...but as we all know, Draco couldn't be ugly if he tried.
http://heaven-28.deviantart.com/art/draco-and-his-quot-Magic-Wand-quot-82858249 This is a link to his black and white drawing of Draco using the dildo as a wand from "This is the Way I Fall" (Chapter 13). I think we'll all agree that Draco's face is much better here, but I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
http://heaven-28.deviantart.com/art/draco-and-harry-colored-84179534 This is a link to his colored drawing of Draco using the dildo as a wand from "This is the Way I Fall" (Chapter 13). I don't remember if I specified the colors of the shirts Harry and Draco were wearing in the chapter, so that's a little bit of artistic liberty there (with permission, of course!) SO GOOD!!!

Thanks for the reviews! I'm sorry, Draca! I forgot that I had emailed you about the French stuff! *is very sorry* DracaMalfoy helped with the French from the first chapter, and I forgot to give her credit. Bad Ballz...

Chapter 2
Random Act of Kindness
“Psst!”
Neither boy moved, still twined around each other and breathing deeply. The Muggle girl crouched beside their bed smiled, committing the tender sight to memory. Then she took a deep breath and hissed again.
“Psst!”
Harry’s nose twitched, and the girl glanced over her shoulder, checking to make sure they were still alone.
“Hey!” She said, just above a whisper. “Hey, wake up!”
Draco mumbled something unintelligible in his sleep, readjusting his hold on Harry’s chest.
“Guys, seriously! You’ve GOT to wake up!” The girl reached out and put her hand on Draco’s arm, shaking it slightly. “Hey, WAKE UP!”
“Huh? What?” Harry sputtered and jolted, half-sitting up before he was properly awake. When Harry moved, Draco was also rudely awakened, and he whined, curling into the fetal position. His brain caught up just then, and the blonde straightened with as much dignity as he could muster, wondering what Muggle was about to be hexed to within an inch of their life for disturbing his beauty sleep.
“I’m so sorry, you guys, but the manager’s going to be here any minute, and he’ll get really angry if he sees you,” the strange girl crouched beside their bed smiled apologetically. She had curly red-brown hair, kind brown eyes, and pale skin.
“Who?” Harry croaked, clearing his throat and forcing himself to sound human.
“The day manager,” the girl replied, glancing over her shoulder again. “He’s not as…nice as the night manager. If HE had been working last night, you two probably wouldn’t have been allowed to stay.”
“Because we’re wi—th each other?” Draco caught himself just before he said ‘wizards’, and the girl nodded.
“He’s pretty homophobic,” she made a face. “It’s stupid, really; I mean, I don’t see what the big deal is, but…” she shrugged, gesturing helplessly with her hands.
“Thanks for telling us,” Harry smiled. “Just out of curiosity, how do you know?”
“I’ve been here for a few days,” the girl said. “You two sound like you’re from here; what are YOU doing here?”
“Er, we used to live here, but we moved away,” Harry exchanged a quick glance with Draco. “And a friend of mine’s mum is sick, so we’re back, visiting and needed a place on short notice. We’re making other arrangements for tonight, though.”
“Too bad,” the girl smiled, straightening up. She was wearing jeans and a hoodie.
“What about you? You’re from America, aren’t you?” Draco put in, no longer interested in cursing her since she was nice.
“Is it really that obvious?” The girl put her hands on her hips. “EVERYONE says that!”
“Well, your accent gives you away,” Harry informed her with a knowing smile.
“Figures,” she muttered, rolling her eyes. “Hey, look, I better get out of here. If he catches me in here, he might throw me out, since girls technically aren’t allowed in the boys’ rooms. See you in the kitchen for lunch?”
“Is it noon already?” Harry blinked in surprise, and the girl nodded.
“Well, ten till,” she said. “The manager does rounds at noon, which is why I tried to wake you up now, so that you’d be out by noon. He’s very picky, and if he saw you in bed together, he’d probably call the cops.”
“Wanker,” Draco muttered, and the girl laughed.
“Definitely,” she agreed, giving them a wave as she turned and hurried out. Harry caught a glimpse of a splash of color on her lower back, between the waistband of her jeans and the hem of her hoodie.
Draco got up, complaining under his breath as he pulled his clothes on. He folded their blankets and stacked the pillows as Harry got dressed and assembled their luggage. They made it to the front desk with mere seconds to spare for check-out. They left their bags by the front counter after the assistant desk clerk gave them permission and went into the kitchen where the girl was heating up a bowl of soup in an ancient-looking microwave.
“How’d you know we were still asleep?” Draco walked up behind her and asked his question in her ear, startling her.
“Good God, you scared me!” She exclaimed, whirling around and putting her hand over her heart. “I asked one of the other guys,” she answered, smirking. “I was part of the courtyard group when you two came in.”
“Ah,” Harry nodded. “So where do we get food?”
“Well, here, you have to bring your own food and label it,” she replied, opening the microwave before it was done. They all wrinkled their noses at the burned smell as the girl reached in and pulled out the cup, quickly dropping it on the counter with a sharp cry of, “OW! HOT! HOT! HOT!” where it tipped over. The noxious mess spilled, and both boys winced at the burned-looking noodles amidst shriveled vegetables.
“What was THAT?” Draco asked condescendingly as Harry jumped forward, grabbing a paper towel and helping to clean up the spill. The girl shook her injured hand, giving him a grateful smile.
“That was me destroying lunch,” she replied ruefully, taking the still-overheated cup from Harry and chucking it at the trashcan. It missed and bounced off the rim, splattering a few more drops of soup. “Whoops. As you can see, the microwave here is a bit temperamental, so you never know whether to put it on for a little or a lot. At home, I really do know how to cook, but these European appliances are throwing me off. Thanks for helping,” she added, walking over and picking up the Styrofoam container. She made sure to throw it in the trash this time, but then she slipped on some of the spilled soup and nearly fell.
Draco unsuccessfully covered a snort while Harry cracked a smile. The girl reminded him strongly of Tonks with regards to her clumsiness, and like the late Metamorphmagus, the girl seemed to have a sense of humor about it because she laughed along with them.
“Well, since we haven’t any food here for lunch,” Harry exchanged a glance with Draco, who caught on to what he was asking and nodded. “And you just ruined yours, would you care to join us for a quick bite? Our treat, since you helped us out earlier.”
“Really?” The girl’s eyes lit up. “That would be AWESOME!”
Draco chuckled. “Dude, like, totally!” The blonde exaggerated his American accent, acting as excited as she sounded, and the girl blushed. Harry rolled his eyes playfully as they walked out the front door of the hostel. The girl assured them that their luggage would be fine in the lobby, though Harry grabbed the backpack to take with them.

“Well, it was nice to meet you,” Harry said warmly as they got off the Tube at Paddington station.
“You too,” the girl replied, smiling back. “So you’re not staying in London, then?”
“No,” Harry said simply, and the girl nodded in understanding, though she was disappointed.
“Good luck, then,” she said, giving them both hugs. “You should look me up on Facebook or something.”
“On what?” Draco arched his eyebrow and stared at her, uncomprehending.
“Facebook…” the girl repeated, and Draco shrugged.
“Is that supposed to mean something to me?”
“You’ve never heard of Facebook?” The girl asked incredulously, and Harry smothered a grin.
“I have,” he said. “I’ll friend you.”
“Good,” she replied, and Draco gave Harry a cold glance.
“How do YOU know about this Face-body-part thing, anyway?” The blonde asked haughtily.
“Facebook,” Harry and the girl both laughed. “It’s an internet thing, love. A network for friends. I’ll show it to you later.”
“Damn right you will,” Draco muttered under his breath, but they all heard him anyway. The girl winked at Harry and hugged them both again.
“Bye, you guys,” she said wistfully. “It was great to hang out with you. And thanks for lunch!”
“Yeah, you too! Watch out for that—oh shit…” Harry smiled and waved as the girl walked backwards, watching him and nearly got run over by a group of tourists.
“Whoops,” they heard her exclaim, and she glanced back over her shoulder as the Tube train she needed glided to a stop. “Bye!” The two boys waved again, and then she was gone, caught up in the afternoon rush of Underground traffic of London.

Author's note--For those who don't know, the girl in this chapter was Roozette, since she has been absolutely rabid for more of this series! Thanks, darling, and I hope you enjoyed the surprise!
Also, everyone, please please check out the links at the beginning and leave a comment for my friend. He's waited so patiently for me to finally post this installment to be able to link the pictures, so let him know what you think of them? Please? Thank you!
Roozette Thanks for the review! Yes, I do know about hostels. *laughs* And so do you!
paigeey07 I'm so glad you like! Thanks. And also I was so worried to hear about Cal! Good to know she's awake and okay (well, as okay as any of us can be!). Thanks for keeping us informed!
DracaMalfoy *wailing* I'm sorry, love! I forgot, pure and simple. (It was late when I posted the chapter, and so much has happened between then and now...) I'm really sorry, though. And I miss talking to my Draca! Thanks for the review!
thrnbrooke Thank you! Nope, Roo kept them from getting into trouble! *grin* Good guess, though!
vampirekisses Hey, thanks for your review! Well, I had already posted the one after this for Easter, so of course I had to post this one! (And they STILL have to go to Brazil, so that'll be another installment even after this one!) Glad you like, though!
gorgeousbrowneyes Alright, hon, you're next! LOL When it calls for another OC Muggle in this story, you have dibs, darling, for being such a wonderful and faithful reviewer! Thanks for the review!
In answer, no, London really is not like that. Well, not in MY experience, anyway. But in this series, the reason Harry and Draco moved to America in the first place was that no one (not their friends or "family" or the wizarding world in general) liked the idea of them together...and it's only been a year since they've been gone. I had to make it horrible enough for them that we can all see why they left.
And also to help illustrate what stupid prejudices people have against homosexuals and the kinds of things that they have to put up with that us straight people don't have to think about (because we don't experience it). Sad, huh? *climbs off soapbox* And as for the hotel...well, it was named "The Intolerant" for a reason...*shrug*
There MIGHT have been some trouble...but Roo saved our boys from it, so I guess we'll never know for sure! *wink* But don't worry, they find a place to stay that is (almost) free from bigotry. (You'll see where I'm talking about in Chapter 4, but feel free to guess until then!)
SP777 Hey! Thanks for the review! Ah, yes, you hit the nail on the head! I remember when I was trying to decide whether to make this installment angsty or keep it fun and happy like the others...and of course, since we're all angst-whores here, I went for it. So yes, this will definitely be a roller coaster. I tried really hard not to make Harry or Draco cry too much, but this IS an emotional time for both of them...as we'll see...
Thanks again to everyone who reviewed, and to everyone who read! I appreciate it, and I hope you liked!
