Just an A?
Disclaimer: I Do Not Own These Characters. If I did I would continuously do a dance of happiness and things would not have gone the way they have.
Warning: My perveted musings led to this story so don\'t be amazed at smut to follow.
When Lucius, in fine form, as always, stepped into Snapes\' office after his last class he really didn\'t know what to think. \"To what do I owe the honor of your presense, Malfoy?\" Snape asked with a raised brow.
\"Really, Severus, no need to be snippity. And do call me Lucius, we are old acquaintances, after all.\" Lucius said in typical haughty Malfoy manner.
\"What can I do for you, Lucius, then?\" Snape sat behind his desk to watch Lucius pace in an uncharacteristically agitated manner.
\"As you are well aware, my son, Draco, has an \'Acceptable\' grade in your class.\"
\"Yes. I don\'t see the problem. He is passing the class. He likes the class, he just doesn\'t pay as much attention as he could.\"
\"An \'Acceptable\' is not acceptable.\" Lucius continued as though Snape had not spoken. \"Not for a Malfoy. It can not be tolerated. He must apply himself more redally. He doesn\'t seem to get that this will affect the rest of his life.\"
\"It will but I don\'t understand why it\'s that important.\" Snape interrupted. \"And truthfully, Lucius, I\'m a little crushed that I finally see you after all these years and you insist on being a boar about your son\'s grade. It is called \'Acceptable\' for a reason.\"
Severus was, in fact, slightly crushed. He had actually had a crush on Lucius ever since they had first met in school. Lucius, decpite all his high mannerisms, was very kind to Severus and stood up for him on a rare occasion. But then Lucius had graduatided and Severus had lost track of him for 3 years, when he found him he had been too shy to talk to Lucius, by the time he had worked up the nerve Lucius had gotten married. Then that back-stabbing-black-hearted-bitch-of-a-witch Narcissa had given Lucius a child, Severus had lost all hope. Especially since Narcissa had been one of the few \'people\' (he could not bear to call that thing a person) had figured out his attraction to her husband. So he had suffered his attraction in silence. Finally, joy of all joys, Lucius had divorced Narcissa! But alas, it was aparently had not meant to be. Severus had always harbored the slly notion that Lucius would see the light, divorce Narcissa, and leap into his awaiting arms. Alright so maybe not the leaping part. So Severus had been one lonely guy for the last... Dear God! How long had it been since he had gotten laid?!
Lucius interupted his wayward thoughts, \"Very well, then, but, if his grades do not improve I shall hold you personally responsable.\"
\"Of course, Lucius, lovely seeing you as well.\" Severus muttered as Lucius turned and swept, yes he literally swept, out the door.
As the door closed Lucius could have sworn he heard Severus\' pain tightened voice whisper, \"I missed you, Luc.\" That statment made Lucius freeze as the door continued its path to close on his back.
Lucius had been terrified of visiting Severus. When he had been a boy he had a few very inapproprate dreams about his younger peer. Of course nothing could come of it, he was a Malfoy. So he had married Narcissa instead, even though he refused to aknowledge that his heart had screamed at the injustice of doing so. And having children, well, it was a Malfoy\'s duty.
Lucius stood there for a moment longer. \"I missed you, too, Seve.\" Then he stormed down the hall, away from the one his heart called for, as he had forced himself to do countless times before.
