Lost and Found
The Girl Who is Lost
to see the source as she was still a bit sore. Someone was standing near the door holding a dimly lit candle in their hands. Around them there
stood a few more figures that were hard to make out in the dark. They were shadowed and blank presences in the night and they frightened the
girl on the bed. She clutched the sheet around her and quickly scooted as far away from the figures at the door as she could.
"It's ok," said one of the figures moving closer to the bed, "We won't hurt you." It was a soft and genuine voice, that of a young girl, who
spoke.
"Is she alright?" a deeper voice asked.
"Ron," someone snapped, "I hardly think so now light another candle its terribly dark in here."
"Yeah but they'll see it downstairs," the boy known as Ron said, "We're not supposed to be up here."
"They're in a meeting, it should be fine," the girl said, "Now light it."
One of the figures moved and picked something off of a table near the door, then they held it to the lit candle and soon the room was
brighter then before. The girl on the bed could now see the faces of those around her. The girl holding the first candle had short red hair
that was the same color as the boy, Ron, holding the other. Next to her was another girl, this one with longer brown bushy hair. It was her
eyes though, that caught the women on the beds attention, they looked sympathetic, but why? And just behind that brown haired girl was another
boy whose hair was the color of the night, he had glasses on his face that he pushed up the bridge of his nose when she looked at him.
"What's your name?" the bushy haired girl asked as she took a small step forward.
On the bed the snow white girl made an attempt to move back but found the resist of of the bed board.
"It's ok," the girl with the candle said, "we won't hurt you. I'm Ginny Weasley and this is my brother Ron," she said as she pointed towards
the red haired boy.
"And I'm Hermione," the brown haired girl said, forming a small smile on her face."
"I'm Harry," the boy with glasses said as he stuffed his hands in his pockets.
Still holding the sheet against her the girl on the bed looked at each face in the room. She had never seen them before and now she wondered
how she got where she was. Where was she? And who were these people really?
"Can you tell us your name?" Hermione asked.
Looking at Hermione's sympathetic eyes she meekly offered up, "Yuki."
Smiles spread on the faces of those looking at Yuki, but she could not smile in return.
"Well Yuki, It's nice to meet you," Hermione said, "Are you hungry?"
Yuki was quite hungry but was apprehensive about taking anything from these people. They had seemed nice enough but she was in a strange
place and did not know how she got there. Then her stomach betrayed her and growled out in hunger.
"We could go down to the kitchen and get you something," Ron offered in a shy tone. "If you want to go."
Yuki looked at all of them as they waited for her response. They were so young in her eyes, though they must not have been much younger then
her. Still ones so young could not be that bad.
"Ok."
Yuki was going to kept the sheet around her as she weakly rose from the bed when she noticed someone had put a long and patched-up coat
around her. It fell just above her knees on her tiny and short frame.
"Oh, "Ginny said as they had turned to leave, "There are some clothes her for you to wear because yours, well, seemed to be a bit torn."
Ginny handed the candle to Harry while she picked up the clothes and handed them to Yuki.
"I'll wait just outside for you ok?" Ginny told her.
Yuki nodded and the four young ones left the room for her to change. She looked around a bit but couldn't see much with the only light
being from one candle. Yuki took off the coat and folded it, placing it next to the other clothes she was given. There were a pair of black
pants and a light blue long-shelved shirt and Yuki took her time putting them on. While it did hurt a little to move so suddenly she didn't
want to leave the room so soon also; She was still worried about her new situation. There was a brush placed near the clothes and Yuki used it to
brush threw her tangled hair. She knew Ginny was waiting for outside the door as she could hear her humming a light tune. Yuki felt she
shouldn't keep her waiting so she grabbed the coat she was earlier wearing and walked out of the room.
"You're ready," Ginny stated, "good now we can get you something to eat."
Ginny led Yuki down the stairs of the big house; The walls were lined with a few pictures and the floor was draped with a lush, deep red
carpet over mahogany wood.
"This is The Black House," Ginny said from in front of Yuki, "It belongs to Sirius but he lets the order use it. You'll meet them all
later."
Ginny opened the door to the kitchen where Ron and Harry were sitting at the long table. Hermione was carry a plate over to an empty seat
with a large smile on her face.
"Here Yuki," Hermione said as she pulled out the chair, "I'm not sure if you'll like this but if you don't I can make you something else."
Yuki sat down and looked at the plate before her. There was some toast and eggs next to a few pieces of sausage.
"I can really only make breakfast, sorry," Hermione apologize.
"Thats ok," Yuki said but made no effort to eat anything. Her stomach felt ready to purge even through its emptiness. This felt starnge, being taken care of. Was it because they were so much younger then her? "Can...can you tell me
where I am?"
The four others ad thd the table exchanged glances with each other, giving some sort of silent approval.
"Well you are at the head quarters of the order of the phoenix," Hermione told Yuki.
"What is that, how did I get here?" Yuki pleaded for information.
"We don't know how you got here," Hermione admitted, "And we're not sure we can tell you what the order is."
"Of course we can tell her," Ron said.
"No Ron we can't, we're not even supposed to be talking with her." Hermione told him.
"Why can't you talk to me?" Yuki asked.
"Well you just sort of showed up here, we don't know anything about you, maybe if you told us about yourself..." Harry began saying.
"I don't know how I got here either," Yuki told them.
"Thats odd..." Ron trailed off.
"I think you should eat Yuki, "Hermione cut in, "Dumbledore will want to talk to you when he knows you are awake."
Yuki wondered who Dumbledore could be but decided that Hermione was right and she should eat. Besides it did not seem like any of them could or would give her any answers. The room was in silence except for the clatter of the fork against the plate as Yuki waited to find out what was going on.
