His Thoughts
Author\'s notes- all righty then, the public has spoken. So for Rilla, who wanted more Severus...
His Thoughts
Blasted, bloody, frustrating girl! What on
earth was I thinking? A student, a bloody student. How could I have been so
stupid? Not a student anymore. What was that?
All right then, just let her stew awhile,
then tell her detention is over and she’ll get on the sodding train home
tomorrow, no harm. Detention? In chains in her knickers? Afraid she’s a bit
smarter than that, you git. Who the Sodding hell is that?
I’ve gone daft, and it’s all HER bloody
fault! You haven’t lost your mind, fool. You found your conscience. My
conscience? Brilliant. Absolute impeccable timing.
Of course, just what I deserve. 20 years of
silence and NOW you pipe up! I wasn’t silent, you just never listened
before. Healthy bit of guilt you are working over now, eh Severus? I’ve
done nothing to be guilty for… yet.
As she so generously pointed out, she is
now an adult. And as you pointed out, after today’s marks were posted, she’s no
longer a student. Generously? Drunkenly is more like. Weren’t listening to
me that night either, were you? No reason to, innocent conversation
was all.
I believe she was goading me, the brat.
That Weasley boy draped on her like that. Jealous were you? I thought she
was just a student? Of course I wasn’t jealous, but I certainly can’t allow
her to laugh at a Professor.
No, some punishment was in order. Few days
delayed, to be sure, but warranted. Just biding your time weren’t you? I
would’ve expected more subtlety than this from you. Midnight is not the
time for subtlety. Besides, I can’t have her thinking she can continue this
insipid game of hers.
No, best nip this nonsense in the bud.
Filch is right, chains and old-fashioned discipline should never have gone out
of style. Then explain why her robes had to be removed? Fairly sure in all
his rants Filch never mentioned stripping. Well that- I mean she- I didn’t-
bugger all, it wasn’t my fault!
That damn child came down here tonight
looking for trouble! Who am I to deny her? And that’s where I come in, my
boy. You can’t deny her, and that is precisely the trouble. Don’t be
ridiculous.
No, I’m merely giving a final detention to
a particularly troublesome student. What if I were to tell you to take her
up on that offer? The one she came down here to make? I would seriously
question the need for a conscience.
I thought they were to keep you from doing
stupid things like that exact scenario. Not so stupid. War is over, you are
no longer her teacher, she’s an adult. You did nothing to encourage her. Free
will, my boy. Is highly suspect.
No, just het her out. Of my dungeon, of my
mind, of my bloody life! Then why are you hiding in your office? She just
might be our kind of girl. Now I have gone mad.
That goat Albus has finally found a way to
drive me mad. Nope, not Albus. It really is acceptable to go back in there,
and find out if she’s serious. Well then, let us see shall we.
“Why Professor, is that for me?”
“That
depends, Miss Granger, have you been a good girl?”
A/N- So what DOES he have in his hand?
