~The next day~
Harry choice solitude for the first time in quite some time, he didn’t have the energy to keep up with anyone at the moment. Focusing his energy he apparated out the front of his mansion and into a small village just outside of Hogwarts, only a couple miles away from Hogsmade. He sighed heavily and wandered down a small dirt path, he didn’t know where it lead and he truly didn’t care at the moment, and he saved Fred and George, killed four deatheaters, faced off against Lucius holding his own and winning in the end, escaped from Voldemort’s fort causing an incredible amount of damage.
Sure company and all that was not unwanted, this was a cause for celebration however he felt no need to be near anyone at the moment. He briefly chuckled to himself, it would only be a matter of time though until someone managed to find him.
He loved fall. The leaves’ changing colors the smell and just the gentle breeze. He liked popsicles, spending time in his manor, listening to music and being with his lovers. What he didn’t like was the cool chill running up his spine, he didn’t have his katana just his wand. He could feel it getting stronger, whatever was following him was getting closer, he turned and looked in every direction he didn’t see a soul. Focusing his magic in his ears he could hear something coming up on him fast.
Pulling out his wand Harry turned and ran down the path way leading into town. Being in the middle of the forest without anyone with him fighting someone or something that he hasn’t seen and seeing as he had no idea of its capabilities he had to move away, fighting should be a last resort in this kind of situation.
Harry ran faster than he could have ever imagined, still the thing continued to gain more and more ground. The air around him seemed to way him down, his feet began to move slower and slower. ‘I don’t understand.’ Harry thought in a panic. ‘I’m not too tired to not run, to not keep going at my pace….this isn’t under my control anymore.’
There was nothing that he could do whatever was coming was coming fast and it was keeping him from turning and running. He had to face it and he had to hold strong against it. It only took a minuet but there was a man charging towards Harry, for a moment he thought that it was Lord Voldemort himself, but as the man finally closed his distance Harry noticed the tiny differences, his eyes were violet not red, his skin still had color and this man…he had fangs longer than a vampire yet shorter than a werewolves’. He smiled at Harry and instantly Harry could feel his body getting even heavier. The man extended his bony fingers and his arm. Slowly he approached Harry. “Give me the book boy.”
“What book?” Harry played. He couldn’t give that book to anyone, Amelia asked that he guard it for her and keep it somewhere he could only go, where no one else would even think to look.
The man’s smile faded into a frown. “Do not play with me boy…you wouldn’t like the consequences.”
“Who are you anyway?!” Harry shouted, the pressure got so strong that Harry had fallen to his knee, it was as if his bones were beginning to snap under the pressure.
“If I were you…I’d answer my questions.”
~Susan, Ginny, Tonks~
Today was going to be Susan’s day, she took great care in picking out just the perfect…well everything. She let her hair hang down to her shoulders, straightened just perfectly. Her skirt was a light shade of pink that came down to her knees and was frilled at the ends. On her feet she wore her regular old Vans shoes, not many people knew of muggle hobbies but one that she took a shine to was skateboarding, or at the least watching the other muggles do just that that. Over her chest was a black tank top and a small pink coat that her aunt made
especially for this outfit.
Bellatrix and Narcissa took off ahead of the others for the sole reason to not be seen entering the castle all at once, all the girls were concerned but understood Harry’s need to get out and most of all avoid being seen by anyone that can link him to them as still dating.
Susan sighed heavily releasing Harry’s owl to fly back to the castle on her own. The owl was incredibly intelligent Susan didn’t doubt that Hedwig would make it back to the castle without a problem.
Ginny walked in behind Susan and wrapped her arms around Susan’s waist and blew playfully into her ear earning a small ‘eep’ from Susan. “Hey Susan…let's get going we’ve wasted enough time hanging around here we’ve got plenty more stuff to do back at the castle.” Susan relaxed in Ginny’s arms, Harry was a part of both of them, being next to Susan was the next best thing to being with Harry himself. She turned around and nodded her head eagerly.
Susan couldn’t deny it, Ginny was incredibly attractive. Even in simple clothes like she wore right now. There was a pair of tight form fitting jeans that covered up her long legs and complemented her butt, at least in Susan’s mind it did. She wore a red shirt that said ‘fight me…if you dare’ on front. Everything with her had a flow that matched her personality, face and hair.
Walking downstairs they found Tonks in the living room fastening her cloak around her neck. Turning Tonks grinned cheekily, it went without saying everyone in some way shape or form missed the school, weather it was running around to classes, re living the past, helping Harry gather people for his fight, or just participating in the training they loved something.
Taking after Ginny’s example she went plain. She wore a pair of slightly frayed jeans and a pair of converse sneakers. She wore a black spaghetti strap tank top and a plain white t-shirt underneath, her hair was a vibrant pink shade. Even though sometime she thought it made her look a bit peaky, she loved the color, it was simple and said it all for her. Her eyes were a deep ocean blue. Susan was in awe, She was lucky in so many ways to be surrounded by not just loving people, but truly beautiful individuals.
Like electricity it hit Susan and Ginny, they felt it. A wave of terror, a wave of pain and an image flashing through their minds, Harry was on his knees, in the distance was Hogsmade and standing there was the faceless man, electricity flew from his fingers and struck Harry square in the chest. They could see the smoke rising from his body and nearly smell it, the scent of cooking flesh. Tonks read it in an instant and fear crept up in her, the girls began to tremble and mutter, their bodies not just their faces lost all color. A cold sweat broke out on them both as they braced themselves on the nearby walls.
Just as quickly as if began did it end. Tonks walked up weary of their movements just in case one of them would fall. Both looked up and Tonks almost felt it, from both the fear and intensity in their eyes, someone was in trouble and somehow not one but both saw it. Susan grasped Ginny and Tonks seized them both as they apparated away and straight into the trouble.
Tonks landed roughly and saw Harry holding his wand producing a shield, he was wearing out fast and that man…he smiled at the thought of harming not just Harry, but anyone in particular. Harry was just the moments target. Ginny and Susan immediately slammed into the ground, feeling the same pressure Harry did.
Tonks felt it, the pressure was amazing but nothing that she couldn’t handle. She knew of this magic already, using your own magic to create a pressure and push down other magic’s from other beings. If you could focus your magic to press out of your body and fend off the force you could stand move and act as if nothing was wrong, she just thanked god that she managed to get a O on her test during the auror examine, recognizing ancient dark magic’s and how to defend against them.
The man did notice their presents but didn’t expect Tonks, in her student appearance she could fool anyone, who would suspect that a 16 yr old girl with shoulder length pink hair, a manicure and makeup would know a thing against this form of magic.
“Cefine Uhsp.” Tonks stated calmly, a spell flew from her wand pummeling the man and slamming his body into the tree, immediately the pressure came off all of their bodies and the odds were instantly in Harry’s favor as he stood against the unnamed assailant.’’
He stood and chuckled a bit, however he coughed up a bit of blood as he did. “I must say young lady that I am quite impressed with what you have just done, not many even fully trained wizard and witched would know to do what you have just done.”
Tonks said nothing and raised her wand. She had a feeling who this man was, he wasn’t normal and no one had the power to harness an element like lightning straight out of their finger tips like he managed to do. They had experts though, she would have to ask Ren Sypher, Sydney and Leon, this man seemed to be somewhat like them. “Bombarda.” Tonks stated calmly the man leapt backwards kicked off a tree and easily cleared the spell.
“Oh yes you are good…you are different too aren’t you?” The man continued to laugh as Ginny and Susan raised their wand’s, Harry however kept his arm low, keeping up that shield against the attack nearly drained him of everything that he had.
“Pernantl” “Escante” Ginny and Susan shouted, out of Ginny’s wand shot a red spell that radiated intense heat and Susan’s shot out solid ice shards that when they struck something it would not only pierce the skin but freeze the nerve endings rendering whatever part of the body that it hit usless. The man laughed and spread his arms creating a massive shield protecting him from all of their spells.
“I am quite impressed Mr. Potter. They are exceptionally gifted…please train some more I would love to see just how strong you all become.” In a flash the pressure was back pushing everyone other than Tonks down. Smiling sinisterly he dashed off in the direction that he came, it only took a second for the pressure to be removed however it did nothing to relieve them.
“Harry who in the blue hell was that?” Ginny asked rising up and brushing the leaves off of her clothes.
Harry stood and panted heavily. “Shit face the barbarian?! He didn’t bother giving me his name he just wanted to waist me…and get that book…you know the one Tonks gave me.” Harry put his wand away and looked around, there wasn’t anyone else nearby so he let himself relax for a bit. “Tonks Have you ever heard of him? Seen his face?’
Tonks shook her head saying “I saw someone shoot lightning from their hands before, it was in this muggle movie Star wars if that helps.” Susan shot her a sharp glare, that’s one think Tonks didn’t like in a person, the inability to laugh. Although she would never say it to Susan, she was trapped in the manor with the Malfloys it had to have changed her.
Sighing Tonks shook her head. “Well sitting here wondering if” Tonks then changed her voice to sound just like
Harry “Shit face the barbarian was is getting us nowhere, let’s go out and get some answers.”
“What makes you think that we can get answers?” Ginny challenged. She didn’t want to put everyone’s hopes in the ground but to her it didn’t seem plausible, the man…women…thing came charging out of nowhere and attacked Harry out of the blue.
“In my job I found something out. Almost no attacks are random, there is always some pre-meditation, like…if a rapist breaks in a house, he had that planned he saw his target beforehand. The man wanted the book and knew where to get it. He either knew of the books existence and that Harry had it or someone told him of it.”
“Your point?” Ginny asked. She wasn’t being rude, this was all in her personality. Everyone knew it because they had spent time with her, she was just…breezy so to speak.
“MY point is that we had no clue where the hell Harry was.” Tonks began “I doubt the man knew either with the anti trace charms on us so he had to be on his way to make contact with someone to get AT Harry. If we look through the village I’m sure that we will find someone who is waiting for him…someone helping him get to us.”
Ginny nodded in understanding. “I have one more question…Harry is the strongest here, he’s also exhausted and me and Susan were almost useless in that fight what if there is more out in there trying to meet him? We could barely hold him off. Is it really a good idea for the four of us to go there alone?”
Susan and Tonks both looked surprise…She was right they needed to get to the castle. But if they left they might not ever know what he was doing sprinting through the woods. Shaking her head Tonks began to speak. “We can’t do that, we need to know why he was here what he was doing and more importantly how he knew that Harry had the book there should be only ten people that know where the book is now. I’ll go in and check this place out. Inform Bellatrix and Narcissa what I am doing and see if any of the others know how to handle this kind of situation then find me ok?” Harry stared at her with a worried look on his face. This wasn’t a good idea, sure they could get to the castle pretty quick but tracking everyone down would take a bit and Tonks could have already gotten waist deep in trouble by then. “Don’t worry Harry. Promise that I’ll be just fine.” Tonks said reassuringly raising her right hand like she made a pledge.
Harry didn’t relax. Tonks smiled and gently placed a kiss on his lips. “Don’t worry…I can handle this I know I can.” Harry still didn’t relax but instead he just smiled. Tonks watched as both Susan and Ginny grabbed one of his arms and apparated away.
Tonks sighed heavily and made the trip into town. It was a slum…at best. The houses were worn down, looking as if a gentle breeze could knock them over. It was dank, dark and smelly.
‘Ok…where would I possibly hear something over that I probably shouldn’t hear. A bar.’ With a cheeky grin she walked over into a local pub named the rat in the hole. Inside she found many villagers, none were all to friendly and many leered at her as she walked back. ‘Perhaps I stand out a bit.’ Tonks thought as she looked at the villagers, she looked preppy everyone else dressed in dark cloaks covering nearly their entire body. “Firewhisky,” looking around she noticed how the others looked, none of them would have manners and to blend in she would have to act like them. “uhh…how bout right now?” When the bartender turned his back to Tonks to get the drink she added “How bout that shit huh?”
“You really don’t belong here girl.” The bartender warned as he poured the drink. “Look at your clothes, make up hair and anyone with half a brain could tell that you were acting. I doubt you really have an attitude.” He stared at Tonks as he poured a bit of the drink out and into a shot glass. She slammed it and slammed the glass down on the table. “What would possibly bring you down to these parts?”
“I’m looking for information on someone, my friend was attacked in the woods and I managed to fight off the assailant…but he wasn’t normal.” Tonks replied immediately she felt it. Some of the surrounding people were staring daggers into her back. The bartenders stare hardened.
“If you came looking for that you’re going to open up something that should be left close…there is no need to be putting yourself in danger like you just have.” The man glanced to his rear and Tonks saw the massive mirror, all at once three of the cloaked individuals got up and stepped out the front door. “Listen to me…go home before
you lose your chance.”
Tonks shook her head and poured another shot from the bottle. She slammed it again and coughed up some black smoke. “I need to know who he is, what he wants and why he thinks he can get away with anything.”
“You’re a witch are you not?” The bartender asked pointing at the wand at her side. “Then listen…they are something more than you…almost an entirely different race. Alone against three I doubt that you would stand a chance at all. Take my advice and for now just run.”
“No…I got to find out how he knows so much and where I could find him…at the least a name.” With that Tonks paid for the drinks and walked out the front door. Turning she continued to walk down the street the entire time she had magic pumping into her ears, carefully she listened for their approach.
It hit her, she didn’t know where it came from, who did it or what it was but it hit her hard. A force slammed into her back hard sending her flying forward, she bounced off the ground like a tennis ball and rolled to a halt.
A man came out of the shadows, he had slight shadow growing over his chin and upper lip, his hair was brown and spiked straight up and the man was fairly handsome. Using wandless magic he lifted Tonks up and into the air focusing his fist he pushed forward and a gust of pure energy seemed to slam into her stomach and send her flying again. She practically flew backwards as a man appeared to her rear. He moved faster than she could ever imagine, she didn’t even feel it. The man swung his leg with outstanding force sending her back toward the other man.
Tonks fell at his feet face down in the dirt. A woman came up and pulled down her hood. She had icy blue eyes and a soft face. But what shocked Tonks was the resemblance to her mother, it was uncanny, the women seized Tonks hand and hoisted her into the air with such ease it was utterly amazing. She lifted higher until Tonks was looking her straight in the face. “My master has it in his head that you would be a good addition to our little team…but I don’t see how you could be of any help to anyone.”
Tonks grasped her shoulder and swung her legs straight up knocking her under the chin. The women released her and she pulled out her wand using a air blasting hex she sent the handsome man back and into the side of a building.
The man that moved at the speed of light was in front of her, he had blond hair and red eyes, his body looked frail but he smiled sinisterly and was gone in a flash. Tonks spun around looking for him with magic pumping into her eyes and ears he seemed to be everywhere. It only took a moment but he began to run at her hitting her using his speed Tonks couldn’t trace him, couldn’t stop him.
As he ran all around the women came back in and swung at Tonks sending her flying backward and landing on her back. The fight had just begun and she was already fading fast. The three of them stood again and Tonks was all alone in the deep dark street, the sun had begun to set and the stars were coming out. ‘I got to hold out…just a bit longer.’ Hoping that someone…anyone would come to help her.
The women smiled. “My name is Beverly.” She said in a voice a mother would use to coddle a child. “I am not normal as you may guess…well I have a special power. Kind of like yours but a bit different you see. I am kind of like werewolves however when it is night time I have complete control over my transformations and silver…I doubt it would do you any good.” The women’s smile began to warp as she grew fangs, claws and a snout. She didn’t get taller or bulge with muscles like the werewolves did but judging by her human form she had more than enough strength to tear Tonks into to equal halves.
Tonks began to back away as the women advanced. She got down on all fours and drooled a bit, she wanted to tear deep into Tonks flesh to taste her blood. “You know?” the beast snarled, it shocked Tonks. “My master desires you, your body and your skills…I am going to kill you for trying to take him from me.” She charged ramming Tonks back and into a steel gate that surrounded the house. The two men stood back at a distances and watched the fight unfold in front of them.
Tonks rose up, her knees shaking, blood dripping over her clothes, gashes from where she had been struck, deep cuts from where she bounced off the hard cement and mud covering her body where she had been slammed into the dirt and bruises where she had not only hit the steel fence but from where speedy Gonzales the blond young man had hit her…hard.
The monster charged again and Tonks raised her wand. “Expelliarmus.” She stated calmly, the spell struck the
monster’s shoulder but only caused it to stumble for a moment, still she charged swinging at Tonks she dodged and fired a stunner into the monsters stomach who doubled over but sprang up doing a back flip sending Tonks into the air. She hit the ground with a dull thud blood flowing from her mouth now. Silent tears fell down the side of her face as she thought of everyone, her reasons to fight were robbed of her, they intended to kill her hear and now.
The monster looked up into the night sky and howled in victory. It leered down on its prey going in for the final blow. Its head snapped up as it was hit with three cannonball hexes, one in the head, one in the chest and the other in the knee knocking her back and off her feet.
Tonk’s eyes fluttered open and never before in her life were she so happy to see Remus in her life. He stood with his wand out, his robes a bit tattered and torn but he looked around at the two people seemingly standing by and watching this young witch getting eaten by a werewolf. ‘It’s not a full moon…what is that thing?’ He thought raising his wand again and firing off a stunning spell. The monster leapt up and sank it’s claws in the side of the building holding itself hi in the air.
It roared at Remus. The man wasn’t afraid as he continued to walk forward, he would not be intimidated by that monster. The young man with the blond hair charged Remus and immediately struck him in the side of his face knocking him off balance. Smirking he charged him again, this time though Remus was ready and fell over on his side. The young man tripped over Remus and flew into a wall.
Remus looked back at Tonks and didn’t smile, he had a worried look covering his face as he turned between the
monster and the handsome man. “SUSAN!” Chocolate cried out. “You and I are going to get Tonks, let Sypher Jagon and Gabriel handle Kaleo and Beverly.” They all moved out to the middle of the fighting field, Jagon put on a small thin pair of black gloves, the fingers were cut out exposing them but giving him a better chance to grip things.
Remus saw the handsome man who he assumed as named Kaleo flinch as he slammed his hands in the ground sending out a shockwave. Jagon and Gabriel pushed through and Gabriel pulled out her wand sending a cutting curse just skimming the side of his face. Jagon came up and struck him twice on the chin sending his head to the left and right.
Kaleo coughed up blood as he put his hands on Jagon and pinning him between the wall and his hands. Forcing the raw magic out of his hands it struck Jagon’s chest and pushed him through the wall and into the room beyond. Doing a serious of flicks, a large green curse came flying out of Gabriel’s wand striking Kaleo in the chest the curse stayed on his chest and knocked him back farther and farther. When the spell left you saw that it ate through his shirt and began to tear away at his skin.
The monster leapt down off the building and charged at Sydney and Susan who managed to pick up Tonks and were pulling her away from the fight. Remus without a second thought jumped on the monsters back clinging as hard as he could. To anyone it would look comical but to Remus it scared him to death. The monster roared and thrashed slamming itself into the ground forcing Remus to let go. The monster turned and stared down at the man, holding it’s fists together everyone watched in horror as it raised its hands high in the air and slammed them back down into his chest. Remus cried out in pain as the monster continued relentlessly. Tonks looked back and pointed her wand only to have the blond man move in and strip her of her weapon running back he sprinted forward and rammed Susan making her role back. Sydney frowned and waited he charged at her. She could see him move, barley but she could see it. Bracing herself she swung her leg high and connected with his face he skidded down on the ground and rolled to a halt.
Sypher charged at the monster, at a foot away he swung his foot straight up and connected with the bottom of its chin. It swung at Sypher who warped right behind and seized the knives out of his pants. He began to stab faster and when the monster turned attempting to backhand him, Sypher just teleported above it stabbing it’s shoulders before landing in front of it. “Bastards…he won’t forgive.” The monster stated clearly before turning around and grabbing the blond unconscious man.
Jagon watched as Kaleo blasted Gabriel and sent her hurdling backward. Leaping out of a window of the building that he was knocked into he seized Kaleo and threw him high into the sky. Jumping up he kicked off the wall and caught him midair only to toss him higher. Sypher saw it and teleported into the sky grabbing onto Kaleo he positioned him to fall on his head, then began to spin faster and faster. Only feet from the ground did Sypher kick off and land gracefully, just to watch the man hit the ground with a sickening crunch.
The monster let out a blood thirsty roar as it charged at Sypher sliding attempting to take out his base. He teleported away as the monster grabbed Kaleo and jumped on top of a nearby building. “You three…are marked by our master!” It cried. “I will see to it that he handles you personally.”
It charged off deep into the night as Sydney looked to Jagon and Sypher, worried plastered on her face. Sypher
just sighed. “She never could lose with dignity…Status report. Who’s still standing?”
“Us three.” Jagon stated simply pointing to himself, Sydney and Sypher. Susan was knocked out from the blond man, the monster did a number on both Remus and Tonks and Gabriel was unconscious from the air blast that Kaleo gave her.
“We’re traitors now…what are we going to do?” Sydney asked, fear gripping her.
“That’s easy my dear chocolate…we fight the same as ever. We got help, properly trained I have no doubt that we can take them down…Voldemort and if we have to Dumbledore. I’m not scared so why should you be?”
“BECAUSE ITS NOT THAT SIMPLE!” Sydney cried out in frustration. “Look at us, us four plus Tonks, Harry and all of them…they are gifted but we stand 18 people strong. Look at what we are stacked up against…deatheaters the brotherhood and the order of the phoenix, if they made a move on us we could feand one off but not all of them.”
“They won’t attack us all at once. They don’t know they have a mutual enemy, us. Also they themselves aren’t going to agree and attack us all at once, that’s foolish on their ends especially with the order of the phoenix, they have aurors on their side hunting the brotherhood, the brotherhood despises Voldemort threatening their existence and Voldemort wants nothing more to than rule, crushing everything under him…there is absolutely no chance of any of them teaming up…hopefully they’ll just start killing each other.” Jagon stated, the sad thing is he wasn’t joking.
“God damnit my head hurts.” Sydney stated. “Let’s go speak with Harry, he has the right to know.”
~Ginny at the castle~
Susan had left to take care of sending help for Tonks and both had made sure that Harry had stayed in bed to get some rest that he no doubt needed. Walking out of the dormitory she gave a heavy sigh. They had stormed one of Voldemort’s hideouts, killed one of his lieutenants and taken out many of his supporters but still it wasn’t enough to get them through the week. According to Katie Bell, Neville has been put in detention for trying to start up Harry’s brigade.
Much like the old D.A. they were dedicated to training the witches and wizards not only for the upcoming fight but to show the truth, everyone excepted that Voldemort was alive and well, but they didn’t know of Dumbledore’s tricks that he has laid in wait. Also this new enemy…it was all so overwhelming and confusing. It seemed as if protecting that artifact was almost not worth it.
It didn’t matter to her though what had been done had been done the only thing left to do was to deal with the tasks at hand and that was gathering everyone up that she could, she needed to find Terry Boot, Lisa Turnpin and Luna Lovegood. Katie went to the Gryffindor dorm room to inform Neville of the situation and to find Daphne Greengrass to let her know why everything was going the way it was.
Up in Gryffindor tower she climbed down the stairs and began to scavenge for anyone that could help her.
“Ginny.” A timed young woman called out. Confused she turned and looked around. A floor up outside of the library stood Hannah Abott. She waved her up to the library but Ginny was weary, the girl look frightened and seemed to shake as she wove to Ginny. She obviously didn’t carry a short sword around when she was just wandering around the castle but like a good witch she had her wand on her just to get out of a harry situation. Moving her right hand to her pocket she felt the tip, making her a bit more secured as she entered the library. Hannah was in the corner it was then that Ginny noticed that she was rubbing her arm and looking like she should feel guilty about something.
“I’m sorry.” She stated looking down and guilty, Ginny nearly jumped out of her skin and pulled out her wand looking all around her, ‘I should have known it has got to be an ambush!’ “No no no calm down!” Susan said trying to calm the young redhead, Ginny just turned and glared fearing the immanent attack on her. “It’s just us here…I wanted to apologize to you…Harry and especially Susan. He makes you happy, Harry does doesn’t he?” Ginny nodded her head but didn’t put away her wand. “I…I’m the one that told Seamus, Dean and Ron what happened to Susan.”
It took a moment to sink in. “What is the matter with you? Why would you do that?” It hurt Ginny, she had talked to Susan a few times and she seemed so nice so…giving and she truly cared about her friends.
“Susan wrote me after Harry rescued her. She was so scared about what Harry would do to her making her his slave.” Hannah began pulling out a letter. “She said that she had to obey him and I studied the type of slavery magic that Harry used she still is her own person but is somehow tied to him emotionally, she can be unhappy and effect no one, but if he’s unhappy it hurts her and almost takes her over. I thought he would use her and Ron he seemed so nice and caring…he said Hermione could make a serum if I helped him.”
“What are you trying to say?” Ginny asked
“I…told him where you would all go, the training the meetings…that’s how he found you saying that he could bring Susan back to me.” Hannah explained. It clicked in Ginny’s mind, Susan and Hannah were friends before they came to school, they were more like sisters than anything. A change in one’s life would immediately effect the other. Ginny pitied her, she was tricked into doing something awful. “I want to see Harry and to make up for what I have done…I can be useful I really can.”
Ginny took a seat at the table. She seemed to truly be sorry but there was still a small possibility that she was still working for Ron trying to take Susan. That wouldn’t only hurt the team, not just Harry but her as well. Fighting together, training together and getting to know each other they had become friends and grew to care about each other, if Susan was taken away it would hurt everyone. “I’ll have you speak to Harry and from there we will decide what we are doing. But only if you help me find Luna, Terry and Lisa. Sound good?”
Hannah wiped her tears and nodded approvingly. Ginny smiled and the two left the library in search of everyone. Going down to the Ravenclaw entrance they banged on the door hard, a raven came out and stared down. “What is it you desire young one?
“We want to see someone in the dormitory. Could you get them for me or would we have to go in?” Ginny questioned.
“I can get no one, answer my riddle and you gain entrance.” The raven said. “What always eats but bites the hand that feeds it?”
“Oh geez that’s a tough one.” Ginny said thinking hard.
“It’s a flame, it eats oxygen but if someone so much as touches it they get burned immediately.” Susan answered.
“Well put.” The raven replied sinking back into the door and swinging open.
“Wow you’re a brain!” She exclaimed, Susan blushed and nodded. “Hey hey no need to be embarrassed. You’re silly if you’re going to be hanging out with us get use to the jokes.”
“You think that Harry would let me join you guys?” Hannah asked with hope in her eyes.
“Harry appreciates love and honesty, sure he’s a bit confusing at times always off on his own but if he sees how you care for Susan I’m sure that he will.” Ginny said reassuring Susan. They walked in and straight down to the personal library in the dormitory. Immediately they found Terry and Lisa studying from some books and writing down all the knowledge on some parchment. They both looked up and smiled at the pair.
“Hannah it’s lovely to see you.” Lisa greeted getting up and giving her a quick hug.
“You two already friends?” Ginny asked
“No she’s trying out all that persuasion stuff that Sydney has been teaching her.” Terry said shaking his head. “She’s…popular to say the least.”
“Shut up Terry.” She responded with a quick smirk. “Listen Gin, as soon as we get everyone back here we need to have a sit down, I’m afraid that the little school war has taken a minor turn for the worst.”
“It’s terrible!” Susan said. “It has me scared to just walk down the hallways.”
“What’s up?” Ginny asked.
“In a nutshell everyone has to choose a side, the two powerhouses Gryffindor and Slytherin or the brains and loyalty being with Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. It seems that Gryffindor and Slytherin found some common ground, we have Daphne staying here on almost a permanent basis she’s scared to go back to her dorm, she’s dating Neville who’s with us, she mine as well have a giant target sign on her back for Red and Green to practice aiming their hexes at.” Terry explained.
“That’s awful!” Susan said “How can they treat each other like this?
“Easy, two sides, Harry vs. Draco. People are going to back up their friends and their friends have their back so on and so forth going on until we have the entire school up in arms.” Terry explained. “What’s sad is that we have more people attempting to get on whatever side is winning at the time and switching sides asking for protection in turn for galleons or assistance.”
“There are a few loan dogs like Cho Chang, she won’t fight and neither will Sue Lee.” Lisa added. “But whatever you do don’t go out alone, at least have one person with you if not more.”
“Where is Luna?” Susan asked looking around.
“She went down to Hagrid’s hut to inform him of the new situation and what you guys ran off to do yesterday.” Lisa said “She acts like a lone ranger, not taking anyone with her, she can take care of herself but it just isn’t safe. That’s why she went alone in her mind it’s better that one get hurt instead of two.” Lisa let out a sigh.
“Well let’s go check in with her. After that we can see how Harry is doing.” Ginny said taking off her coat and throwing it in the corner, she was ready to fight.
“See me? Turn around Gin.” Harry called. He was standing in the door way leaning against the frame. “They know how to make some real useful potions in a pinch.” He said pointing at Dobby and Winky who were standing directly behind him. Ginny smiled running up to him and pulling him into a tight hug. “I’m sorry bout worrying you and not going with Luna, she needs our help I’m sure, knowing her she got sidetracked. Hello Hannah how are you?”
“Harry we can talk later lets go get Luna.” Susan said, she figured that it was a walk to his hut and that they could talk along the way. Harry smiled and nodded as he looked to Terry and Lisa. “Could you two keep working with the elves and keep making these potions? We’re going to need a stock pile ready before we take off and keep getting into fights.”
Terry and Lisa smiled and nodded. “Well Dobby? How do we do this?” Lisa asked as she took the house elves hand.
Dobby began to sob. “Mistress touched Dobby’s hand…THANKYOU MISTRESS!” Harry chuckled as they walked out of the dormitory and toward the main entrance. They saw the fractions as they began to walk, you would either see red and green robes glaring at Harry Susan and Ginny or yellow and blue nodding at them or smiling and waving.
“Harry this isn’t the best environment to recruit anymore.” Ginny began. “It may just be better to drop out and do it that way at least we would be safe that way.”
“Yeah I kind of agree.” Harry said with a sigh. “But we got to hold out hope we can’t just leave Hagrid like this in the dark or give up building our force, we’re going to need more good people than we have right now.”
“But who’s to say they won’t end up choosing the darklord or sticking with Dumbledore the becan of light?” Susan asked. She had a point, Dumbledore was the hope of so many. So was Harry but he had a track of first taking down Grinwauld then facing off against Voldemort so many times that it was enough to make your head spin.
“That’s far enough Potter.” An arrogant voice called out from behind. Harry spun around faster than lightning pulling out his wand he pointed it at his white haired opponent. Draco stood behind the three with a sinister smirk on his face, his hands were shoved in his robe pockets but judging by the way his pockets bulged with his hands in them there wasn’t a wand. “Please tell me how my dear mother is doing?”
Before Harry could respond Ginny did for him. “Oh she is just wonderful, you know kissing on Harry, spending time with her sister oh and training us just so that we can kill people like you. Although I cannot say the same for your father.” Draco looked to her and raised an eyebrow. “We found dear old daddy guarding Fred and George I spose that it’s just too bad that he stood in our way. Why Harry here cut down four of his personal guards while myself and Susan took out his last guard and dear daddy ourselves.”
Draco’s eyes fell and he stared at the ground, his long white hair shielded his face from their eyes as he sobbed. Suddenly his head snapped back up and he had a large…disgusting smile on his face. “Oh please! You mean to tell me that little potty couldn’t take him out on his own?!” Draco began to laugh harder and harder. “I seriously doubt that one you actually killed him and two that he was worried during the fight.”
“She did.” Harry said finally lowering his wand, Draco had no intention of an actual fight where he could get caught casting spells somewhat like his father use to do. “I saw my love’s aim, she struck him in the chest I watched as he fell to his knees bleeding from his eyes and saying his last goodbyes.”
Draco took a step back, a small look of shock on his face. “Well…I spose that I’ll truly find out today but please you act like it was a challenge.” Draco then smiled a bit more. “I got a surprise for you…I’m glad he died. Tell me how much do you know of the ancient rituals between a father and a son?” He scanned their faces and smiled when there was no response. “Well then. After he dies I inherit all his magic. Tonight when I get it I’ll be stronger than I am now. Stronger than he was in truth I must say thank you to you.”
“As if anyone cares!” Hannah shouted. “I’ll kill you myself for what you have done to Susan! My SUSAN!” Draco just smiled sweetly. Hannah screamed and charged swinging her fist back she shoved it forward only to have Draco side step and back hand her hard knocking her on the ground.
“Tell me have you seen Luna or Lavender? Shouldn’t your time be spent finding you dear friends? Hogwarts isn’t as safe as it once was you know.” Turning his back he walked away from the stunned triplet laughing as he did so.
Harry growled as he pulled Hannah to her feet. “C’mon he’s right we’ve got to find them.” They watched as he walked away. Harry was surprised sure he had recovery time but how was he doing so well? To have the speed to move at the last second, the strength to knock Hannah not just down but away from him? And so heartless, he truly didn’t care for companionship, a strength but a weakness at the same time. He fights for himself but he wouldn’t know what it was like to push for another person to take a step even though he doesn’t want to just for the sake of another.
Harry felt his anger melt, he was sad and pathetic. Shaking his head Harry walked out the front door and down the trail leading to Hagrid’s hut, peering in the window Hagrid sat next to fang having tea with both Luna and Lavender. Harry sighed with relief as all three of them knocked on the huts door. Hagrid answered sweeping Harry up in a massive tight hug. “’ARRY! Oh thank Merlin that you are alright!” He cried tightening his squeeze a bit causing Harry’s back to make a pop noise. Immediately Hagrid dropped Harry on his porch as he ushered them all into the hut closing the door behind them. “Arry, you need to take everyone and get them out, this place isn’t safe anymore.” Harry just stared and raised an eyebrow. “The activity in the town…there has been so much crime and the students it’s like a spell is on them they’ve changed so much they’re always fighting with one another and showing so much disrespect it’s like they don’t care about the knowledge anymore. Of course Snape and Dumbledore have been trying to keep a lid on all of that but there is only so much you can do with a rebellious student.”
Harry just chuckled. “It doesn’t matter Hagrid, I’m a big boy now I’m sure that I can take care of myself now a days.” Harry then smiled, what was unsettling was it was a bit dark…almost predatory. “I want it this way it would make things a bit easier when I’m trying to sway people to see things my way.”
“Harry no you don’t get it this is bigger now.” Lavender said. “People are fighting just for the sake of fighting, they get up in the middle of the night just for it. And it’s harder than you know not to get involved when you see the people that you care about cut up, bruised or worse in the hospital wing.”
“Harry it just isn’t safe here anymore and I think that it was all because of us.” Luna said looking down.
Harry just smirked. “No it’s going to be alright I promise. I won’t let anyone of you get hurt.”
“You don’t get it!” Lavender said standing up. “It’s not US that we are worried about its THEM! This fight…this feud whatever caused it needs to end! People can’t keep getting hurt like this.”
Harry sighed heavily. “To end somethings like war…fights people are going to get hurt one way or another it’s the sad truth and the world we live in. I need to get everyone together by the way you all need to understand what we are up against, there is more enemies out there seeking things that should be left buried in the past.” It was a grim truth but just that a truth. Lavender looked down lost in her thoughts she didn’t want deaths she wanted the pain of everyone and the families involved to stop. “I promise that if we work hard and keep going that I’ll stop the pain I’ll put everyone who likes causing it away once and for all and put a stop to this ugliness.”
Harry walked out of the hut and stood on the stoop just looking at the castle. He knew that Lavender was right he was the cause for the pain of so many and it wasn’t like he wanted it. It just sort of happened. Two people were coming down the hill toward the hut, one had platinum blond hair and the other midnight black hair. Harry smiled as they got closer and closer finally they stopped in front of him.
“Harry!” Narcissa said between gasps for breath. “You need to come with us…in town…you’ll see.”
~Ten minutes later in Hogsmade~
Harry walked into madam Rosmerta’s pub and straight to the back. He wouldn’t believe it without seeing it. Shoving the door open he found Rosmerta running between four cots. On one laid Remus, another Susan, to her right was Gabriel and across from her Tonks. He trembled for a moment as he ran to Tonk’s side, out of all of them she was torn up far worse than any.
She had a giant bruise on the side of her cheek, a gash on her chest, and several swelling spots on her body. It was so disturbing seeing all of his friends in a similar manner. Remus didn’t wear a shirt, his entire chest was purple and it looked as if his chest cavity had collapsed on itself. Gabriel and Susan had road rash covering their backs and massive bruises on their chests where they had been hit by magic and where the monster backhanded them.
His body shook with rage. “As far as we know the dark brotherhood…the man that attacked you went after Tonks, she fought so well against three of them. One on one is hard enough to hold off one of my kind…but then myself and Jagon as well as Sydney Gabriel and Susan came.” Sypher began. “That man…the werewolf held his own against Beverly…she’s a balverine, a werewolf that controls it’s transformations. He fought her off and saved Tonk’s life today.”
“Where are they?” Harry asked.
“No even with us at your side we wouldn’t stand a chance at stopping them…we need to calm down relax and finish training then we can stop them.”
“Not enough time. They need to die.” Harry said in a low tone. “I read a spell in the necronomicon. It has a spell that can send some people to a type of limbo and only a special spell can take it off. In that place a year will fly by like it was nothing, only a day will go by in our actual time.”
“Harry!” Sydney cried. “No good will come of that book you use it. The spells in there were of a wizard whose power rivaled Merlin’s we don’t know what would happen if we were to ever use it! We need to keep it safe and hidden.” She grabbed his arm attempting to sooth him.
Harry spun and seized her sholders and dragged her to Tonks. “LOOK AT HER!” He screamed at Sydney. “THEY did this to her and I AM going to use that book I AM going to become strong and I WILL KILL the man that would hurt her…” Harry forced Sydney to look.
“THAT IS ENOUGH HARRY!” Jagon screamed
“No…she cares for her then she will help me in this. You all will. I am going in no one else has to if they don’t want to but I am going to become so strong that I can crush them like the insects that they are! Now tell me about the first time that you met Tonks…what did you two do?” Sydney broke out of Harry’s grasp and slapped him straight across the face. “No you kissed her all you had to do was calm her down but you were attracted to her…now if you truly care for her help me stop the people that did this to her…please Chocolate.”
“Stop using that name…it’s Sydney.” She said back. “Where is the fucking book?”
