Chapter 18:

Professor Dumbledore called for a meeting in his office. Once Harry arrived, he was relived to see so many had arrived from the Order. He stood by Remus Lupin and waited for Dumbledore to start talking.

“I am pleased to say that Heather Keely has found Erin.” Dumbledore said.

Everyone started to talk at once, relieved to have news of Erin’s whereabouts.

“Unfortunately,” Dumbledore continued “we can not go get her right now.”

“But why?”

“Where is she?”

“We can’t leave her.”

“Are you sure Albus?”

Professor Dumbledore held up his hands and waited for everyone to stop talking so that he could explain. “We have word that Death Eaters took her, not the Fae. Although, I’m sure Prince Rhys doesn’t mind the situation at all. Heather is looking into it. They tried to use her magic to retrieve Erin, but I fear that she is being held by that which is impossible for a Fae to fight against, and that is Iron.”

“But doesn’t that mean that it’s up to us to get Erin?” Harry asked.

“Not necessarily. Apparently, Erin is cooperating enough to have some privileges while in the Death Eaters custody. The amount of Iron holding her prisoner is not enough to hurt her, it’s only enough control her magic. Various members of the Seelie court have been watching from a distance and she is allowed to go outside and get the fresh air she needs to remain strong.”

Harry was relieved. She was getting what she needed and not held in some dungeon. His only concern now is what of the prophecy. How much does the Death Eaters know and what are their plans now that they have Erin.

“So Albus, what are the plans now. What exactly is holding her there once she is outside? Surely we could get to her then.” Remus asked and Harry nodded in agreement.

“What is holding her there is in the form of a necklace partly made of iron. It is what is controlling her magic and keeping her on the grounds. We have yet to figure out how to remove it as it is made of ‘old Fae magic’ that was thought to be lost ages ago. Therefore it is up to the Fae to figure out how to remove it and free her.” Dumbledore said. “And before you ask, no we can’t go in and attack the Death Eaters there. If we mistakenly injure the one that placed it on her, it could kill her as it is a link between the two of them.”

Everyone remained silent and looked around for any suggestions from the group and when none came they all either collapsed on a chair or leaned heavily against the wall or bookshelf.

Harry was beyond upset. There was nothing he could do. Angry beyond words, he left and went straight to the Broom shed near the Quidditch field, grabbed his Firebolt and began to fly aggressively until he was calmed down enough to think beyond the problem and work out any possible solutions. The only thing that came to mind was Hermione and it was time to go to the library.

Once again, Erin found herself in bed with Lucius. It was morning and he was curled up next to her. She was dressed in the nightgown that she was in before falling asleep and he was nude, again. Growling in frustration, she elbowed him, none too gently.

“Lucius, wake up!” Erin said as she pushed Lucius. He woke up just enough to grunt in his sleep. Erin tried again. “Lucius!”

“What is it Love?” He asked as he moved to look at her.

“Why is it that you found yourself in my bed, yet again?” She asked. “What are you doing, sneaking in here when I’m asleep?”

“Oh, doing just that.”

“But why?” Erin asked again.

“Well, I figure the more exposure you have to me the more likely you will get used to the idea of us together.” Lucius said with a grin.

‘He is handsome when he smiles, but so very frustrating.’ She thought to herself just before shaking her thoughts away.

“If you keep doing this, the least you could do is be dressed.” Erin said with a frown. She knew she couldn’t stop him from doing what he wanted in his own home as she had no magic and was physically less strong. She was just a little thing compared to him, shorter than his own son. She was shorter than Harry even. What was she to do? At least he wasn’t forcing her into sex. Things can always get worse.

“Well, I can do some compromising if you do.” Lucius said with an evil grin. Erin wasn’t sure she liked the sound of that.

“What exactly are you suggesting?” She asked.

“I will wear pajama bottoms to bed with you, if you allow me to climb into bed with you and get a good night kiss ‘before’ you fall asleep.” He suggested.

“But that is two things to my one. That’s not very fair.” Erin said.

“True, but we shouldn’t count me climbing into bed with you awake as one of them since all that does is give me a few extra minutes or so. I have been standing outside your bedroom door waiting for your breathing to even into a deep sleep before walking in. Well that ‘and’ I have been giving you kisses at night; you were just too asleep to notice.” He said with an evil laugh.

Erin narrowed her eyes at him. What else has he been doing while she was asleep? Well the deal didn’t sound too bad. Basically it was that she was awake verses asleep in order to get him to wear clothes to bed.

“Fine, although I still think you’re taking advantage of me.” Erin got up, picked out some clothes, walked to the bathroom, shutting the door and locking it before starting her morning bath.

Lucius was enjoying getting Erin to agree with him inch by inch. It made it so much more fun. Really, she had no choice. It was either getting her cooperation or forcing her to make love to him. Either way, he will get what he wants in the end.

Lucius left and went to his room to get dressed leaving Erin on her own for a few hours before he went to her again.

He found her in the library and said “Erin, Love, lets go for a walk in the gardens.” She nodded her head yes and he took her arm, draped it over his as he started to walk out the door.

“It really is a beautiful garden.” Erin said as she walked among the many beautiful flowers wondering why they looked so nice in the winter.

Lucius knowing what she was thinking simply said, “Magic.”

They sat down on the bench together and Lucius charmed the area warm for them. Erin leaned her head up to the sky and enjoyed feeling the warm sun on her face.

Lucius remained quiet, watching her feed her Fae soul with nature. It was exciting to see her face flush and her breathing even out as she relaxed. Even with the necklace, her fae self was still there and you can’t cut off nature completely. He simply enjoyed watching her.

He was somewhat disappointed when his wife died the previous year, but now he felt that it was fate that allowed him to be available when Erin came into his life or (with a mental shrug) when he forced her into his life. She was a beauty and had more Fae blood in her than he did, not that he would go and advertise that especially since his blood was considered that of ‘lesser fae’ thanks to his grandmother on his mother’s side. This was his big secret. That he really wasn’t a pure-blood, but even with the truth right there, his father pounded into him, literally, that he was ‘of pure blood’. The true knowledge of the fae blood wasn’t even known until his mother had died and told Lucius on her deathbed and his father just happened to over hear.
