Chapter 18

--

“You made sure she had free reign of the school?style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Including the Slytherin dungeons?”

“Yes, My Lord,” Snape answered.

“Now how long do you think it will take her to venture down
here?”

“By the end of the day, My lord. I’d bet my life on it.”

“Severus, you are lucky I am not my father.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He’d make you regret a statement like that,
changed or not.”

“And Dumbledore? How
is he fairing?”

“Not well, My Lord.
He is letting me speak for him more often. He has admitted that if he had cared about you more, the present
situation may have been averted. He has
also admitted to manipulating you greatly.
I asked him how greatly, and his answer was ‘more than anyone could ever
fathom’.

“Keep at him, Severus.
You are doing well so far. I
will see you again in a few days.”

“Yes, My Lord.”

--

Raithos and Draco lounged on their bed after Snape left,
with Raithos’ head resting comfortably on Draco’s stomach, who was currently
running his fingers through his lover’s hair.

“Co, you are a genius.
That idea to lure Umbridge down here was brilliant,” Raithos said
proudly.

“Yes, it was wasn’t it,” a preening Draco replied.

“Mhmm, definitely.
So, We’ve got a couple hours until she comes searching then.”

“Heh, can’t you just picture how her ugly mug would look if
she caught us in a rather ‘compromising position’?” Draco asked.

Raithos snickered.
“Yeah I can. I do believe her
face would go purple.”

“Well then. Shall we
do our best to see that she catches us in the act?” A rather mischievous smile had made its way onto Draco’s face.

“Oh, but Draco…that could mean and entire afternoon of
shagging!”

“Oh, what a shame…”
Draco bemoaned. He pulled
Raithos into a passionate kiss.

--

The Gryffindor common room was eerily silent.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Ron, Seamus and Dean sat staring blankly
into the fire. Ginny was off owling
Mrs. Weasley. Dennis Creevey was
sitting in a corner holding Colin’s camera.
Lavender and Pavrati were sitting on the floor by the boys, sniffling
softly.

“We got him killed.”

“I know Seam,” Ron replied heavily.

“Right in front of the entire school.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> And nobody could do a thing.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He didn’t want to go either.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He said it wouldn’t work…and we made him go
anyway.”

“I know Seam.”

“What are we going to do?”

“I don’t know.”

The three boys returned to staring blankly into the fire.

Ron was being eaten alive from the inside.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He couldn’t bare his own thoughts
anymore. A n>A huge part of him was
screaming for revenge, yelling to fight, to support Ginny, to recruit
others. But a small part of him was
telling him it was time to just give in.
Time to tuck tail and run.
Because if he didn’t, he was going to die. And he didn’t want to die.
He wished desperately that Harry would just forget he existed, that he
would pass right over him when the time came, and leave him be.style="mso-spacerun: yes">
But he knew that wasn’t likely.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> And Ginny wasn’t giving up.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> She was obsessed.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> And the rest of the Gryffindors were
rallying with her.

‘So many people have died already.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> So many, and there’s nothing we can do about
it. And there will be so many more…’

The portrait slammed open and Ginny entered the common
room. She sent Pavrati up to gather all
the fifth, sixth, and seventh year Gryffindors.

“Alright Gryffindors, it’s time for a new plan,” she began.

“No Ginny, we can’t!”
Lavender cried.

“Yes, Lavender, we can!
And we will.”

“Ginny, Neville died because of us!style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Hermione and Colin are dead too!” Lavender
pleaded.

“Yes! They died
doing what was right! Standing up for
good! style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I thought you were Gryffindors.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I thought you were brave.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I thought you were loyal.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> We have to keep fighting.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> I won’t let you give in!

“Gin, we’ve got nothing left,” Ron said dejectedly.

“Yes, we do. Mum’s
going to help us Ron. And dad, and Fred
and George. And bill and Charlie.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> They’re all going to help us!style="mso-spacerun: yes"> We’re not alone.”

“Alright. What’s the
plan.”

--

All Draco knew was sensation. Feeling. Light touches
mixed with bites, sucks, licks, scratches.
Raithos was everywhere.
They’d been at it for almost three hours. And Draco was slowly being driven insane.

Raithos looked up at Draco from where he was currently
situation between his legs. He was
beautiful. Face flushed prettily,style="mso-spacerun: yes"> mouth open, breathing raggedly.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Raithos reached up a hand to run it along
Draco’s length, while the other was preparing him thoroughly.

“You ready yet Co?”
Raithos whispered.

“I’ve been ready for the past forty five minutes you bastard!style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Get the fuck on with it!” Draco said,
moaning, trying to impale himself on Raithos’ hand further.

Raithos climbed up Draco’s body, and looked him directly in
the eye.

“Your wish is my command,” he said huskily, thrusting in,
causing Draco to scream.

“God, yes…”

“Oh, so good…”

“God, just fucking move already!” Draco maoned, before
pulling Raithos in for a passionate kiss.

Raithos pulled out slowly, before thrusting back in.

God!” Draco cried again, back arching.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> “Faster, please…”

Raithos slid a hand down Draco’s chest, wrapping slim
fingers around his erection, stroking in time with his thrusts.

“Come for me again Co.”

Draco choked back a scream and did as asked, for the third
time that night. Raithos followed not
long after.

“No more, can’t take anymore,” Raithos mumbled, collapsing
into a sweaty heap next to Draco.

“Wore you out, did I?
Lightweight.”

“Fine, you get up and get a wand to clean us up
then,” Raithos replied, eyes closed.

“Don’t wanna.”

Raithos snorted.
“More like can’t.”

Draco sniffed. “Can
too.”

“Prove it.”

“I don’t have to prove anything to the likes of you.”

Raithos laughed weakly.
“We have a seriously fucked up relationship…you know that?”

Draco smiled. “I
love you too.”

“Come here,” Raithos said, reaching for the blonde.

Draco nuzzled into Raithos’ neck, sighing contently.

--

“Severus?”

The door to Snape’s personal chambers opened with a slight
squeak.

“Remus? Is that
you?”

“Yes,” Remus began hesitantly. “I was wondering if you were busy. I…I need someone to talk to…andht nht now, you’re about the only
person I trust.”

“Come in. Have a
seat. I was just about to have a
drink. Would you like one?”

“Please,” Remus said, sitting down and dropping his head
into his hands.

Snape moved over to pour them both some firewhiskey.e="me="mso-spacerun: yes"> The werewolf was playing right into Raithos’
plans. Dumbledore wasn’t doing much to
stop it, either. After the order
meeting, Remus had looked downright lost.
He obviously didn’t know who to believe anymore.

“Having a bit of trouble with the events of this morning?”
Snape asked gently, hand Remus his glass and sitting down next to him.

Remus rubbed his temples for the umpteenth time that
day. “I just don’t know what is going
on anymore. Why did he do it?style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Neville was such a nice kid.”

“Neville was attempting to spy on him, and relay information
back to the Gryffindors. Whatever
Raithos may seem, he is in no way weak.
He did what he did because he felt it had to be done.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Raithos doesn’t want a war, Remus.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> He knows if he can intimidate enough people,
the bloodshed will be so much less in the end.”

Remus was silent for a few minutes, mulling over what Snape
had just said.

“Severus? Whose side
are you on?” he all but whispered.

Snape smiled sadly. “I
don’t know if I should tell you that Remus.
I’d like to, but I don’t know what side you are on, and revealing
my loyalties could compromise my position.”

“I…if what you and Raithos have said is true…I don’t think I
can be on Albus’ side anymore. He’s
responsible for the deaths of my best friends.
They were the only family I knew…”

Snape placed a comforting arm around Remus’ shoulders.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> “I know.
And it is true. Right now, we’re
trying to get everyone else to see it too.”

--

Raithos and Draco were jolted out of a very comfortable
slumber by a choked scream.

“Heathens! What are
you doing!”

Raithos smiled and rolled over, completely unconcerned that
he’d just displayed himself to a very uptight Ministry Official.style="mso-spacerun: yes">

“Ah, she’s here.”

Draco wasn’t as amused.

“What the fuck. No
one comes into this room uninvited! Who
the hell do you think you are barging in here!
Show some goddamn respect woman!”

“How dare you speak to me that way!style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Insolent brats! Mr. Malfoy, I see this little whelp has corrupted you.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Such a shame, you showed such promise.style="mso-spacerun: yes"> Now, Mr. Potter, I believe a
punishment is in order for such an uncouth display! Not to mention breaking school rules. I should have you expelled!”

Delores Umbridge prattled on as Draco and Raithos ignored
her.

“So, Raith. Time for
the plan?”

“Yes, I believe it is,” Raithos replied, grinning.

He raised a hand and pointed at the toad-like woman.

Imperio.

--

Father,

The plan is in motion.

Raithos.
