An Ally Revealed
A/N: Thank you for reading and reviewing. I\'m sorry it\'s been a while since I last updated (on all my stories really). I\'ve been going through a bad lack of motivation lately in everything.
Oh, I\'ve created a livejournal that is exclusively just for my fanfiction where I give links and updates on what\'s going on and if I wrote anything, etc. It\'s at: http://www.livejournal.com/users/cassie_snape/
Chapter 18: An Ally Revealed
Severus woke up with a pleasurable start. Hermione had placed his semi-erect cock in her mouth, quickly waking it up. “Hermione,” he whispered as his hand went to her hair, guiding it over his cock. She licked and sucked at him as her head bobbed quickly over him. When she grasped his balls, he lost it, shooting his cum down her throat. She licked him clean and slowly kissed up his body. Once she reached his face, she smiled. “Happy Christmas, Severus.”
He leaned up and kissed her. It was the first good Christmas in many years. “Happy Christmas, Hermione. Is this my present?”
She laughed. “No, there’s more.”
He looked at her and ran his hands over her body. “More? Personally, I wouldn’t have minded just having you.” He had never been big on receiving gifts, so all of this came to him as a surprise.
“Well, I could have just done that, but you already have me, so that doesn’t make a Christmas present.” She moved off of him and put on a silky lavender robe. She grabbed his black robe and tossed it to him. “Come on. It’s time for breakfast.”
“I’d rather have you for breakfast.” He gave her a mischievous grin and put on his robe. He followed her to the small nook that served as a kitchen. He was surprised by the food there. It was all of his favorites. He was genuinely touched by all of this.
She touched his arm. “Are you going to just stand there? Or are you actually going to sit down and eat?”
He snapped out of his revelry and sat down. “You really didn’t have to do all of this for me, Hermione.”
She sat down in a chair across from him. “Oh, I know I didn’t have to.” She looked at him, giving him a warm smile. “I wanted to.”
He gave her a genuine smile, and they ate breakfast.
After breakfast, Hermione cleaned up the dishes with a wave of her wand. “Now it’s time for your Christmas present.” She stood before him and offered her hand, which he took and followed her into the living room. She had him sit down on the couch and then she handed him a package.
He took it, feeling its weight. “You really didn’t have to do this.” He was just not use to the attention and the gifts.
She sat down beside of him. “Open it.”
He slowly and carefully opened the package, managing not to tear the paper as he did so. He saw that it was the old and rare potions book that he had been searching for these last few months. His dark eyes met hers. “Oh, Hermione, this…this is what I wanted. How did you ever find it?”
She smiled. “I have some connections in the literary world.”
He chuckled. “Yes, little Miss Know-it-all probably knows all about books and where to find them,” he said affectionately. “Thank you for the gift.” He leaned in and kissed her deeply. Then, he brought out a small box and offered it to her. “I got this for you.”
She smiled warmly and took the box, opening it up. Her eyes widened when she saw the gold charm bracelet. “It’s beautiful. Thank you.” She took it out of the box, looking at the one charm on it, which was a cauldron. She offered it to him to put on her.
He took the bracelet and latched it onto her wrist, which fitted perfectly. “I got the cauldron as the first charm, since we met over Potions.”
She smiled warmly, thinking that was the sweetest thing she had ever heard. She threw her arms around him and kissed him deeply.
He ran his hands up her robe and began to take it off of her when he heard someone clearing his throat. He quickly retied Hermione’s robe and looked at the floating head of the headmaster.
“Sorry to disturb you two, but I need to talk to you, Severus, in my office,” Albus stated. He then smiled. “Oh, and Happy Christmas.”
Severus mumbled something, obviously not wanting to go to Dumbledore’s office. “I’ll be there in a few minutes.”
Albus nodded slightly, and his head disappeared from the flames.
Severus then got up after he gave Hermione another kiss. “Hopefully this won’t take too long.” He left, quickly dressed, and went up to the headmaster’s office.
Once Severus left, Hermione went into the bedroom and changed into jeans and a sweater. She smiled as she looked at her bracelet. She loved him, and she was beginning to see him as the man whom she would spend the rest of her life with.
She went into the potions lab, checking on their potion. Things still weren’t going well with it. They were planning to test this one in a few days, and she had a feeling that it wasn’t going to work. They didn’t even know what the potion was for. She sighed, hating these secrets. She thought all of that had ended when Harry destroyed Voldemort. She guessed not though.
She stirred the potion clockwise, noticing how it was a nice golden color. She marked down that she stirred it. Then, she glanced over their notes, noticing that she needed to add the bezoar. Taking one, she added it to the potion, stirring clockwise again while she waited for Severus to return.
Severus said the password to Albus’ office and went to the door, knocking. He entered once Albus called for him to, and he almost took a step backwards when he saw Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter in the same room together. He quickly recovered and gave a curt nod to Draco while completely ignoring Potter. He then gazed over at Albus. “You wanted to see me, Sir.”
Albus nodded. “Draco came by to tell me some very interesting news.” He then motioned for Draco to tell Severus what he had already told him.
Draco looked over at his former Potions professor and Head of Slytherin. “I went to Azkaban today to check on father. He’s doing extremely well, considering, but he told me that he is being released within the month. It’s a lot earlier than he was scheduled to be released.” He paused briefly as his tone lowered. “He told me to prepare things for his return.”
Severus was starting to piece together quite a bit of this puzzle. If Lucius was being released soon, then it was obvious that he would want revenge on those that had put him there, especially Potter, Albus, the Weasleys, himself…Hermione. His eyes flashed briefly with anger as he would never let anyone hurt her.
Albus watched Severus. “As you can see, we want to prevent what plans Lucius may have.” He glanced over to Draco. “Draco is on our side, and he’ll keep us informed.” Draco gave a curt nod. Albus then looked at Severus. “How is the potion coming along?”
Severus quickly noted Pot Potter and Draco seemed to know about the potion. “We should be able to test it in a few days again.”
“Good,” Albus said. “Continue to keep me informed. It’s imperative. You may leave, Severus. I still have a few things to discuss with Harry and Draco.”
Severus gave a curt nod at his dismissal and left, going back to the dungeons, where he saw that Hermione was working on the potion.
Hermione turned her head and looked at him when she heard him enter. “How did your meeting with Albus go?”
“Fine,” Severus stated, checking over her work. “Draco and Potter were there as well. Lucius is being released from Azkaban soon. I have a feeling that this potion has something to do with it.”
“Draco? Why would he be telling Albus about his father?” She was surprised to hear this. Last she knew Draco hadn’t been on their side.
He took over stirring the potion from her. “Draco’s on our side now. Albus trusts him.” He knew that once Albus trusted someone, then he did completely. It was one reason he had gotten the job he had now.
She just nodded slightly. “Did he mention the potion?”
He sighed slightly. “Yes, he did. He’s extremely anxious to have this ready soon. I hope this time it works.”
“Me too.” She looked over their notes. She still had an uneasy feeling that something more was going on that they were not telling them. She had to let it drop though and believe that they would inform them when it was the proper time.
He looked over at her, putting the finishing touches on the potion that they needed to do today. He grabbed her, pulling her close to him and ravishing her mouth. “Come. We still have a few more hours of Christmas to celebrate.” It was his best Christmas to date, and he wanted to remember it.
She was pulled away from her thoughts and could only nod as Severus had picked her up and was taking her back to his rooms. They did need to celebrate more, and whatever was going on would just have to wait for them.
