Prison

Slowly the world returned to Kit. The first thing he noticed was the aching that filled his wrists and shoulders. The reason became clear as he tried to move his arms; he was sitting on a cold stone floor with his arms chained over his head.

"You have done well Human, we are most pleased."
Kit looked up at the voice to see the strange Sidhe that had attacked him in Diagon Alley. He was talking to Talgar.
“The assistance your master provided has proved most useful in obtaining the dog for us. With him gone, our allies will descend on Hogwarts Castle tonight and feed to their hearts content. The promise of hundreds of magically talented mortal children on which to feed has drawn out an impressive horde from the Dark Court."
"The High Court will not allow it," Kit said.
"Ah, the dog is awake." The elf said leaning over Kit. "The covenant does not apply to mortals that meddle in magic and the affairs of Underhill. The castle is ours by right and we may deal with any intruders as we see fit. Besides once we have the treasure hidden in the castle, we could care less what Oberon and the High Court thinks. They will bow to Valdune-Khepri."

Kit felt a cold fear awake in his heart. He knew Unseelie Lords could be megalomaniacal but to talk openly of overthrowing the High Court? This elf was either insane or incredibly powerful or worst of all both.

The Sidhe Lord turned back to Talgar.
"Here is our payment, as promised."
He handed Talgar a parchment.

"What about them?”
The new voice brought to Kit’s attention the other persons in the cell. From the opposite wall Twitwhiddle stood next to another bound prisoner. Kit was shocked to see Ms. Goodbody chained to the wall, her mouth gagged and a silver circlet with a green glowing stone set on her head.
“I would have my revenge on this dog for embarrassing me,” Twitwhiddle said.
Kit growled at him.
“The girl must remain unharmed for the next few hours,” Valdune said. “The circlet on her head allows our servant in the castle use her powers. After that, she is yours to do with as you please. As for the dog, our associates in Japan want him alive, though we think they care not if he is ‘damaged’. We will return for what is left of him later, until then you may keep him entertained. Farewell Son of Coyote, we leave you to these mortal’s tender mercies until we meet again.”

The Elf and Auror left the room as Twitwhiddle wandered over towards Kit.
“I’m going to make you wish you were never born you dog eared freak.”
Kit ignored the little man looking instead at Goodbody. She was half awake. Blood stained her clothes from a wound on her shoulder that had obviously been given some time ago.
“Oh her,” Twitwhiddle said following Kit’s gaze. “Yes she is a pretty thing.”
Her eyes widened in terror as the wizard walked over stroked her cheek.
“The wound is almost healed now, seems he has to bite em in order to take their shape. Won’t be much longer, pretty, as soon as the shapeshifter is done with you then we can have some fun.”
‘Shapeshifter! Biting to take their form!’ Kit remembered the hooded figure that bit him in Diagon Alley and suddenly it all fell into a place.
“A Skinwalker!” He thought aloud.
“Yes that is what Valdune called it. A cousin of yours I understand. Not that it matters, you won’t be telling anyone about it. But no need to rush, we have lots of time before the nights out to make you pay for humiliating me.”
He pulled out his wand and pointed it at Kit.
“Lets start shall we? Crucio!”

Kit’s screams echoed through the Ministry Dungeons as Valdune stepped into the cell where he had constructed the gate. It had taken a considerable amount of energy to establish and hold stable a gate surrounded by so much Cold Iron. He reached out and touched the energy bindings that held the gate stable. The energy was fluctuating but stable at the moment. It would last the few hours he needed then it would collapse as if it had never been. He smiled at the Coyote Half Breed’s cries as he and Talgar stepped through the gate into Underhill.

They stepped out into a gloomy twilight land filled with stone ruins and mist covered hills.
“Cheery,” Talgar said sarcasiticlly.
“This is part of our demesnes just as the castle was. Few mortals have seen this place.”
“I’m honored.”
“It is nothing, we are certain you will not tell others of what you see here.

Talgar opened and looked at the parchment he held.
“Here, this nothing on this!”
“Yes, I neglected to mention…”
Valdune was interrupted as a large stone rained down from the ruined wall next to them and struck Talgar to the ground. A small figure leapt down onto the human, cutting his scream short.
“…to the UnSeelie, promises made to Mortals have no meaning.”
