Summers Nights Kiss
After escaping the rest of the staff, Aphrodite slipped off out of the room, leaving the staff to celebrate her wedding plans amongst themselves, she however didn\'t feel like celebrating, she wasn\'t exactly sure that getting married would be such a good idea, she did love Dion however she had on going feelings for someone else. She went outside onto the Hogwarts grounds for a walk to clear her head but so she could go un noticed she decided to go as a cat. Before she reached the door leading outside she saw a figure walking through it, someone had obviously had the same idea as her, the figure was walking down the path past the lake, so she decided to follow them to see who it was, she hurried after them but always kept her distance from them so they had no idea she was behind them. The person who ever it was headed towards the oak tree so Aphrodite ran past them seeingshe she was a cat she could run swiftly past them without them knowing, when she reached the tree she climbed it, staying away from the parts of the tree that were hanging over the lake. The figure sat under the tree and let out a rather loud sigh, looking closer at the figure Aphrodite could see who it was, it was a thoughtful looking Severus, he started to mutter to his self and then Aphrodite became human again but stayed up in the tree out of sight.
\"How could I have been so stupid?\" Severus muttered
\"Haven\'t a clue dear but you manage it well\" Whispered Aphrodite, loud enough so Severus could hear her, he jumped at the sound of her voice and looked up at the tree to see her climbing down, she fell and landed on her bum.
\"Erm...what...when...how long have you been here?!?!\" Spluttered Severus, he was rather amazed that he had forgotten that she was an animagus.
\"Yeah Im fine thanks!!! and erm not been here long, sorry if I made you jump\" Aphrodite was grinning but the grin soon slid off her face when Severus looked at her and sighed again.
\"Sev, you ok? before you snap at me or eat me alive I just want to say that you are the most amazing man I\'ve ever met and im glad that I know you\" Aphrodite said, she sounded 100% honest and Severus looked into her eyes, they were back to their dazzling green colour.
\"Im not fine, I\'ve not been fine for a while if you must know\" He whispers quietly.
\"Oh, umm why what\'s wrong?\" she asked, not quite prepared for his answer
\"You, I have to look at you day after day, knowing that I can\'t have you, but it doesn\'t come to much as a suprise to me, I\'m not as handsome as Dion, nor am I as interesting so there you go, my problem is you, happy now?\" Severus spoke calmly and turned around so he wasn\'t facing her, Aphrodite wasn\'t shocked by his words, she sat next to Severus and put her arms around him, they sat there in silence together.
All the time they sat there Aphrodite kept looking at Severus, thinking about how comfortable she was in his company \'Don\'t know what he sees when he looks in the mirror, he isn\'t that bad looking and he\'s interesting, I think he\'s perfect...oh my god what am I saying? I cannot be getting these feelings for him, I\'m getting married at the end of July and its mid June now\' She was deep in thought when Severus finally moved, he stood up and dusted his robes down, making sure there was no grass or mud on him.
\"Im going inside, It\'s getting cold\" He said dryly. Aphrodite stood up and pulled him close to her.
\"Im sorry for everything, but I do need you as a friend\" As she said it Severus put his fingers under her chin and lifted her face up, she felt his lips on hers, next thing either of them knew they were entangled in a passionate kiss, Severus pulled away and looked into her eyes once more.
\"I\'m sorry, that was wrong, you\'re getting married in over a month\" he said to her, she wanted to cry so she looked down at her feet fighting back the tears, he led her down the path back to Hogwarts, neither spoke. Aphrodite went straight to bed, but she couldn\'t sleep her mind was full of thoughts about the kiss with Severus
