Chapter 14

They entered his room later that night. After everything was over. Taken care of.

The conection was lost. The one that Lucius Malfoy felt towards his son. No son of his would fall down on his knees. In front of the mudblood. No son of his would be as happy as Draco was when he finally realised. That she was pregnant. Carrying his baby. He laughed. So freely. Hermione\'s never heard him laugh that way. She\'s never seen that spark in his eyes. Neither did lucius. That\'s how he knew. Draco was not his anymore. He truly wasn\'t.

With the conection lost so was Lucius. The postponed effect of the killing curse was finally in act. They all watched his body slowly sinking down the wall, while light was leaving his steel eyes and his breathing became more and more quiet. Untill he was gone.

Harry took care of it all, because the three people, that were standing around him were in some different world. They seamed numb, tired. Well actualy draco looked calm. Peacefull. Harry lead them to their rooms, invited aurors and when it was finally over and he left the manor, it was late. Real late. And he was tired. But much alike Draco, he was calm. And after a l ong time, he felt like there was no need to worry about her anymore. About Hermione. Not as much,anyway. An image if her, holding a blond baby entered his mind. And he smiled.

As soon as they entered his room,Draco pulled her into a tight and long embrace. He inhaled slowly. To take her in. And then he pulled away. Looked at her. Was it possible that she was…worried?

\'\'Mione, what\'s wrong?\'\'

She hesitated for a moment before saying carefully,

\'\'Is this… draco, is this what you want? I mean…the baby and all…is it maybe, i don\'t know…too soon for you? You…, we are still young ,and if…if you feel like, if you are not ready… I\'ll understand…\'\'

\'Merlin she can\'t be serious.\' He slowly moved his hair from his eyes and looked at the utterly confused girl in front of him. Draco looked very serious when he spoke

\'\'You are right…actualy…there is one thing , about the pregnancy.\'\' He tried so hard not to laugh to the pure horror written over her face, and continued, getting closer , \'\' It would bother me terribly if you gained much weight…because,you see, you looke perfectly shagable right now, and any more weight would…\'\' , but he couldn\'t finish, because he was now defending from her attacks. Yes, she was hitting him furiously, and he laughed, trying to make her stay still. He saw her mouth opening, he could see insults coming out, but he didn\'t hear them. Because she was beautifull in her fury. As always.

\'\' Can\'t you be serious? Not even in a situation like this?\'\'She asked.

\'\'In a situation like this?\'\'

\'\'Yes, Draco…I\'m trying to figure out…to understand…what to do next. And your father..\'\'

\'\'I don\'t want to talk about that.\'\'

\'\' Well ,why am i not suprised? You honestly think that I will spend the rest of my life with a man who doesn\'t trust me enough to reveal himself to me, to talk to me..?\'\'

She made a mistake. She knew it. But it was too late to take it back.
