Chapter 15:
“Class Dismissed!” Snape hollered out before he picked up Erin and ran for the Hospital wing with Harry, Hermione, Ron and even Neville in his wake.
Madam Pomfrey immediately ran out of her office at the sound of the hospital door swinging violently open.
“Over here!” She said. “Severus, what happened?”
“A potion backfired…..” Snape snapped as he glared at Neville. Neville winced started to back away slowly as he was deathly afraid of Professor Snape. “The entire class passed out and everyone woke except Miss Keely. Everything points to the Drought of living death, she appears dead but I entered her mind and she still had brain activity. Someone must have slipped it to her when we were all unconscious.”
Madam Pomfrey started to examine Erin herself and sure enough poor Erin appeared dead. Erin’s body was cold as ice and completely limp. Her eyes wouldn’t dilate, she was not breathing and it appeared that all body functions had stopped.
She looked over to Harry to see him weakly leaning against Hermione with wide eyes and looking frantically from Erin, Snape and Pomfrey taking in every word they were saying.
“Harry, Erin will be fine and will wake on her own. Unfortunately, I can’t predict when she will wake since she has proven in the past to not respond the same as a witch or wizard to certain potions and spells. All we can do is wait.” Madam Pomfrey turned back to Erin. “Please leave us so that I can dress Erin in her hospital gown.”
Everyone backed up as Madam Pomfrey closed the curtains around Erin’s bed. Once she was done she opened the curtains to see each of them still standing there silently and unmoving. “Really,” Pomfrey said “everything will be ok. But Severus, do you think you can arrange someone to stand guard at all times.” She paused for just a moment. “You don’t happen to know who did this, do you?” She asked.
“I have my theories, but no proof. Not yet anyway.” Snape said. And just as he turned to leave he added “I will contact Albus for the guards.” With the bellowing of his robes, he left.
“Harry, I need you to stay for a while. Due to your magical bonds, she should heal better with you near.” That was all Harry needed to hear and within moments he was back at Erin’s side. He was so worried that they were going to ask him to leave and he was fully prepared to fight for the right to stay with her.
“Don’t worry, Harry, I will be sure to get your homework to you.” Hermione said before running off to class. Harry rolled his eyes at her. Of course she would think of homework at a time like this.
Harry settled in beside Erin at the disapproved look of Madam Pomfrey. And he just dared her to question him. With a huff, Madam Pomfrey left to go back to her office.

Draco was back in his dorm laughing to himself. How easy it was to get Crabbe to sabotage Neville’s potion yet again. And with just a little preparation he was able to avoid succumbing to the fumes pouring out of Neville’s cauldron. His father would be so pleased. Now all he need to do is to get rid of Harry long enough to kidnap Erin.
Sure enough the time was right when Harry left momentarily to take a shower and the current guard protecting Erin was Professor Fitwick. He was easily tricked into leaving at just the right moment.
Draco sneaked into the hospital ward with the invisibility cloak his father gave him and he tossed another over Erin as he picked her up and carried her out of the hospital ward. ‘So easy’ He thought to himself and he continued to carry her to the edge of the Forbidden Forest and right into the hands of his father.

Erin woke to find herself in a sleeveless white silk nightgown reaching to her feet and after looking around she discovered that she was in a windowless room that held a large bed, couch and a dresser in the corner (which had nothing in it for her to wear). The room had two doors and upon inspection she discovered that one led to a nice sized bathroom and the other was locked, so it must be the doors that led to freedom. With a huff, she sat down on the couch and waited for someone to come to her and explain what was going on.
With what felt like hours later the door finally opened. A tall man with long blond hair and an aristocratic face walked into the room. “Ah Miss Keely. It’s nice to see you awake.” He said.
“And you are?” Erin asked as she stood to stair up at the man.
“Malfoy, Lucius Malfoy. And you are Princess Erin Keely, whom I am very pleased to meet.” He said as he took her hand and kissed it.
Erin looked up at him suspiciously. “The last thing I remember was that I was at Hogwarts. How is it that I am now here, wherever here is, to be with you?” She asked with her eyebrows cocked.
“Ah, my dear, we are at one of my estates and I bought you here myself.”
“Why don’t we get to the point, you kidnapped me.” Erin said pulling her hand back from Lucius’ grip. “What is it that you want from me?” She asked.
“Alright, Miss Keely, we will get to the point. My main goal was to separate you from Mr. Potter, with that accomplished, I’m to simply keep you here out of his reach.” Lucius sat down on the couch indicating that Erin should also do so.
Erin sat on the couch as far away from Lucius as she could get, trying to ignore her state of dress. “Since we are being so ‘social’ do you suppose you can tell me why you are not in Azkaban right now?” Erin asked. She knew that Lucius was captured in Harry’s fifth year at Hogwarts and then escaped. He was among the few Death Eaters that have yet to be captured after Voldemort’s fall and she was a bit surprised that he would get so close to Hogwarts and the possibility of recapture just to retrieve her.
“Ah yes, so you do know a few things. No one will find us here. True it is one of my estates, but it was never documented anywhere that the Ministry could find, a sanctuary you can say, just in case. One must always stay one step ahead of the game.” Lucius said.
“So all of this is just a game to you, the murdering of innocents, kidnapping, and involving yourself in an evil dark lord?” Erin asked.
“Well I believed in the purpose behind it all, even if it was achieved not as I would have done myself. Personally, I’m into manipulation it’s less hazardous to your health.” He said.
She wasn’t quite sure if he was making a joke or not so she just looked at him in silence. After a few moments had passed she asked “And what now? You have me, what do you plan to do with me?”
“I have yet to decide. It all depends on you. If you make this difficult you will simply be put in my dungeons. If you behave yourself, you can enjoy the luxury of this room and the freedom to walk the grounds. I know all to well what will happen to you if I surround you with iron.” He looked directly into her eyes waiting for Erin to understand what he was saying. And she did. To encase a Fae in Iron cell would cause them to slowly die. Not a fate she planned on taking on herself.
“And how do you expect me to not escape once free from this room?”
“With this.” He stated as he pulled out a metal necklace. “It is made of Iron, not enough to physically hurt you but it has been charmed to keep you from doing magic or leaving the grounds.”
Erin flinched as he reached over to her to put it on. She felt her magic drain the moment it came in contact with her skin. She felt foolish for not trying to escape sooner.
