The Good, the Bad and the Death Eater

When the time came to go see Severus the pain Aphrodite was feeling was beginning to get incredibly worse, she was walking down the stairs towards the dungeons when she felt a sharp twinge under her chest, she collapsed to the floor and held herself in pain. Tears filled in her eyes as she cried out, she didn\'t care who heard her at that moment in time, the pain was getting to her and she just wanted to keel over and end it all.

Severus was cleaning out a few of his cauldrons when he heard a weird noise coming from outside, he ignored it for a moment but it started up again so he decided to investigate. He\'d only just stepped outside thor oor of the dungeon when he saw Aphrodite lying on the floor in a heap. He walked over to her, picked her up and carried her to his room, he lay her on his bed and she started to cry. He handed her some anti-pain potion, she finally calmed down so he sat on the bed next to her.

\"Will you be telling me what happened to you or shall I have to guess?\" he asked seriously.

\"I..erm..fell into a table\" she said quietly.

\"Right if you say so, let me take a look at you\" he stood up and put his hands below her chest, he sighed, then walked towards his door.

\"Severus? Don\'t leave me! Please! Please!\" Aphrodite shouted, she sounded desperate, he turned round and looked her in the eyes.

\"I will be back, you\'ve got a few broken ribs, I need to get Poppy\" He whispered, she nodded and lay back on his bed. When Poppy and Severus arrived, she was deep in thought. A few hours l and and Poppy had mad Severus carry her to the hospital wing to recover fully, Aphrodite was still insisting that she had walked into a table, Severus wasn\'t fooled but didn\'t know what to say, he was sure Dion had hit her. Aphrodite sat up in her bed to watch Severus pacing backwards and forwards.

\"Severus, stop that, your making me giddy\" she said softly, he looked at her, nodded and sat next to her.

\"Aphrodite, if anything\'s wrong you can tell me you know\" He tried to smile as best as he could, she moved closer to him.

\"I know, there\'s nothing wrong though, you don\'t need to worry, honest\" She reassured him but he still wasn\'t convinced, he raised an eyebrow and then said something which shocked the both of them, he hadn\'t intended to say it.

\"Aphrodite, leave him and be with me, I love you\" He was thinking it but hadn\'t intended on letting it escape his thoughts. Aphrodite just sat there with her mouth wide open.

\"Severus...\" she started.

\"It\'s ok, don\'t say it, I\'ll just be off, see you around\" Then he stood up and practically ran out the door, Aphrodite lay back on the bed, of all the things he had to say she hadn\'t expected that one.

A few days later and she was ready to leave the hospital wing, to treat her Dion was taking her out for a meal after school in a couple of weeks time. Most of the staff were a bit worried for her safety, they had all quickly gone off Dion as they had all came to the same conclusion as Severus, many a time had Aphrodite entered the great hall looking worse for wear, once she even had a black eye, no one believed that she could be so accident prone. Seeing her like this was almost killing Severus, he wanted to take her away and hide her from the world but he knew she\'d never leave Dion, she was due to marry him at end of school year. Yet he still did what Albus asked of him and sent her cards, chocolates, flowers and things from a secret admirer, this was called to a halt though because it seemed the more things she received the more beatings she got, finally the night of the meal came and Severus watched as Aphrodite left with Dion to go for the meal. He felt a warm hand on his shoulder, he turned round to face Minerva, Albus, Remus and Sirius.

\"Severus, I am aware you told her that you..\'loved\' her\" Said Albus calmly, much to the bewilderment on everyone else\'s faces.

\"You told her you loved her?!\" Asked Minerva trying to hold in her laughter.

\"Bloody hell, I just thought you wanted to get into her pants Sev!\" Barked Sirius, the only one not to make a comment was Remus who looked at Severus with sympathy.

\"Yeah I told her, so what?!\" Severus hissed at them, then turned on his heels and stormed off.

\"Well, that was a turn up for the books, bat man has feelings\" Barked Sirius again Remus nudged him in the ribs. Minevra glared at them.

\"I hope he doesn\'t do anything daft\" said Remus

\"Once he\'s got over your taunts and thought about what he\'s going to do then I doubt he\'ll do anything daft\" said Albus before leaving Minerva with Remus and Sirius.

\"Sirius you might mock him but he\'d be better for her then Dion, at least Severus has true feelings towards her, were not sure what Dions motives really are\" said Remus, Minerva nodded whilst Sirius just looked taken aback by his friends comments.

\"I\'m worried about her, anyway I\'m going to see Severus, see you both tomorrow\" Minerva smiled and walked away. Both men stood in silence for a bit before returning to their room.

\"Severus! stop sulking!\" Yelled Minerva as she walked in on Severus getting aquainted with a large bottle of fire whisky, he looked up at her and carried on drinking. Minerva confiscated his bottle and tipped it down the sink.

\"Why? Why can none of you lot leave me to rot in peace?!\" he snarled, she smiled and put her arms around him.

\"Because Severus, we don\'t dislike you in any shape or form and we care about you, otherwise it would be a good idea to let you rot\" she smirked at him, he was clearly drunk and started to cry.

\"I\'m so stupid\" he said, with tears rolling down his face, Minerva wiped away his tears and drew him tighter to her body.

\"You are ignorant, snappy, insufferable, ill tempered amongst other things but your not stupid\" she laughed, he scowled.

\"That\'s more like it Severus, never have I seen you cry before\" she whispered.

\"Yeah and I would like it if you never told anyone!\" he hissed

\"Why? afraid they\'d think you were human?\" he scowled, left her arms and declared he was going bed, this was a big hint to make Minerva leave, which she did and that was that
