New Chapter!!! Sorry about the delay- I know I suck!

Hours later, after wandering around the grounds and crying, Alex returned to the common room to be greeted by the few that were still up. Some of her peers hadn\'t been tired enough to go to bed after the ball, and there were a few couples snogging in the dim fire lit room on sofas, and others were just ing ing around talking. She spotted Kevin and Sasha and went over to them. Laying down and resting her head on Kevin lap, Sasha started chuckling.

\"So who was the black phantom? Had a little snog session with him did you?\"

\"No.....nothing like that....we just talked....and you wouldn\'t believe me if I told you who he was.\"

\"Give us a try.\" Growled Kevin. Alex sat up and looked at him and recognized the look on his face.

\"Don\'t be jealous! Nothing happened! And even if it did, it\'s none of your business! I thought the phantom was you, if you must know! I was chasing after him thinking I was chasing you! He did sweet little things that you might\'ve done, if you wanted me to know who you were tonight, you should\'ve told me, instead of grinding up against me \'cause you were horny!\" With that she stormed upstairs and slammed her door making several people jump and look around before resuming their earlier activities.

\"Smooth Kev...real smooth.\" Grimaced Sasha.

\"I\'m sorry...it\'s just....I don\'t know....I don\'t like that she was with another guy- even if they weren\'t doing anything....I just don\'t see why we can\'t be together...\"

\"Give it some time, maybe you\'ll find that it\'s not meant to be and you\'ll find some one else.\"

\"Yeah....right....\"

Alex stormed up to her room and slammed the door. After a vigorous shower, she fell into bed. She had no tears left. She knew why Severus let her go. He had got what he wanted and made her fall in love with him, and then he pushed her out of his life just as fast as he had pulled her in. The question was; how many others had he done this to? She couldn\'t bear the thought of him touching another woman, and was disgusted by the fact that he enslaved them all with that spell. How many others had he broken? The door opened and Sasha came over and sat on her bed.

\"Are you ok Alex?\"

\"Bloody fantastic.\"

\"What happened?\"

\"You wouldn\'t believe me if I told you.\"

\"Well, there\'s only one way to see if that\'s true.\"

Alex sighed. Well, she could tell Sasha now, since Severus had lifted the spell, he wouldn\'t know if she told anyone. So she told the whole story to Sasha, leaving out the part that she was under the spell. Instead, told Sasha her contemplations for why Severus was doing this. Sasha remained quiet, and didn\'t seem shocked or horrified at anything.

\"So I see...\" she said.

\"That\'s all you\'re going to say? \'so I see?\'\"

\"Well yeah, I mean, it wouldn\'t be the first time a student had an affair with a teacher, and the age difference isn\'t that much. Plus I always thought there was more to the man than the greasy git we know in the classroom. And, if I might add, always wondered about how he was in bed...so how was he?!\"

At Alex\'s horrified expression, she added, \"Oh come on, he\'s hot! Not in the normal kind of way, but he is dark and mysterious.\" She smirked.

\"He\'s amazing...but that\'s not what I want to talk about.\"

\"I know...but the only thing you can do is talk to him. And maybe you should try other things first....after all; he is the only one you\'ve had any kind of experience with at all.\"

\"True. Maybe you\'re right.\"

Leaving Alex to think about it, Sasha settled into her own bed and went to sleep. Alex tossed and turned all night going through the \'what if\'s\' in her head.
