Chapter 14:

Erin and Harry was in bed together in their room at the Palace talking about what their plans were for the months ahead. Harry knew he still had one year left of school and hated the thought of being apart from Erin for so long.

“Erin, what are we to do? You need to stay here for training, but at the same time I have to go to school.” Harry said sadly. “I just can’t see being away from you for so long.”

“Not to worry, Harry, I’m to come with you. You know we must be on guard at all times. Rhys has not given up yet. We are in a race now to produce a child and how are we to do that if I am not with you.” Erin smiled at Harry mischievously with only one thing on her mind.

Erin rolled on top of Harry and proceeded to kiss him. Harry was quick to respond and rolled her right on over to her back causing her to giggle. The mood quickly changed once she felt his hard member against her stomach. She moaned beneath him and slid her hand between them to stroke him. Harry moaned in return and started to kiss his way down her stomach and surprised her when he licked between her legs.

As the days went by, Harry became more and more confident in his love making and now was no different. He continued to lick, nibble and entice Erin to the point of orgasm and at that moment he swiftly entered her bringing her to the brink of another, making her cry out louder as he began to thrust into her deeply until they were both blissfully exhausted and fell asleep in each others arms.

Their days went on just the same with eating banquet meals and returning to their room to make love. The days to return to Hogwarts came closer and their nervousness increased. They hadn’t seen Rhys or heard from him but they both knew that he was up to something and it was just a matter of time before something dreadful would happen. They became accustomed to guards at their door and escorting them whenever they left their room, which was probably why they never seemed to leave it. (Well that and other things.)

September first arrived and still no news of pregnancy. It was time for Harry to go to Hogwarts and attend the evening feast. Erin was to go with him and had a room to herself which was obviously to be shared with Harry. Erin was welcomed to sit in Harry’s classes, eat meals at the Gryffindor table and even join him whenever he went to the Gryffindor common room. Everyone accepted her as an unofficial Gryffindor but she sometimes felt like a circus act whenever someone asked her to perform her type of magic or to shapeshift into her ‘fairy’ form.

Luckily, she didn’t mind it so much since it helped take some of the attention off of Harry. Just like her mother, she was learning how to sense his moods and knew when he was feeling uncomfortable or angry. She learned how to divert his temper and give him something else to think about. And just like most men, all it really took was her to put her hand on him or to whisper something in his ear. He became quite manageable and Hermione and Ron were quite pleased to not be the brunt of his temper anymore.

Erin, Hermione and Ginny were becoming fast friends and often commented on how well the year was going. They even notice Malfoy not bothering them as much as he used to. In fact it appeared that he was gone during the weekends and even some evenings. After a while Hermione caught on that there was something else going on and somehow she was going to find out what.

One day Hermione was hiding out behind a statue in the hall close to the Slytherin common room when she overheard Pansy asking Draco how Alana. ‘Who was Alana?’ Hermione asked herself. Within moments her question was answered.

“Alana and I are to be betrothed during the Winter break.” Draco said.

‘Betrothed?!’ Hermione asked herself. She thought for sure that he was already bethrothed to Pansy but apparently she was wrong.

“I can’t believe you knew and never told me.” Draco went on.

“Oh, I didn’t know anything. I really thought I was bethrothed to you until the beginning of summer break when I was sent to France with my parents. Only then did I meet up with the man I am to marry. And well, he is good looking and a bit of a pay off didn’t hurt.” Pansy sniggered.

Draco wasn’t going to say anything. He was relived to know that he was not to marry Pansy after all and Alana was such a beauty that he never even thought to fight it. They got along well and Alana met every expectation he had for someone he was to marry; petite, beautiful fair skin, shinning black hair and ebony eyes that seemed to glow. She was sophisticated and spoke well. He had even gotten farther with her than he had with Pansy and had seen quite a bit of Alana and there wasn’t a single blemish on her. She was perfect personified and she was his.

Once Draco and Pansy were out of sight, Hermione ran as fast as she could back to Gryffindor tower.

“Harry, Ron, Erin!” Hermione said breathlessly. “You would never believe what I just heard.”

Hermione ran over to the comfy couch in front of the fire and began to tell her what Draco said.

“But there has to be more than that. Why the big secret? Why did he not know till this summer? Something is up I tell you!” Hermione said in one breath.

“Well, now we know what he has been up to each weekend. He has been seeing his betrothed.” Harry said. “That isn’t all that weird. He is in his last year at Hogwarts. That doesn’t seem all that odd to me Hermione.”

“Then explain to me all the secrets? Even Pansy thought she was his betrothed. Why lie to them only to be betrothed to another?” Hermione said exasperated.

“She has a point Harry.” Erin said. “It sounds very suspicious to me.”

Harry couldn’t help but to eventually agree. With all the drama going on with his and Erin’s life, he knew that more was soon to follow. And it didn’t take long for it all to get worse.

One day in potions Erin was sitting quietly in the corner of Harry’s class when all the sudden an explosion went off, Neville’s potion of course. A green haze filled the room and the whole class collapsed where they were, including Professor Snape.

Within the hour everyone slowly began to waken and the last of course was Erin. In fact she had yet to waken. Harry ran over to her as soon as he could and she felt cold, like ice.

“Erin! Oh gods, Erin! Wake up! Oh, Please.” Harry was shaking Erin almost violently trying to wake her up.

Hermione ran over to calm Harry worried that he would hurt Erin further with all the thrashing he was giving her.

“Harry, hold on!” She said. “Please stop!” She finally screamed and physically pulled Harry off of Erin.

Hermione took a closer look at Erin and the brought her face closer to Erin’s. Professor Snape woke just as Hermione screamed. “She doesn’t seem to be breathing!”

Professor Snape ran over to Erin and examined her and whispered to Harry. He whispered “Leglimens!” and paused for a few moments before whispering “Drought of living death.”
