Forgiveness

A/N: I am so sorry for not updating sooner. No, I have not abandoned my story. I could never leave Lucius and Adrienne unfinished. Anyway, I am having a terrible case of writer\'s block. The chapter after this one is really hard to write. They are taking a trip to somewhere(can\'t say) and ... it\'s just hard writing about a trip. The next chapter will probably be a two part thing, so when I\'m done, hopefully, you will like it. Now, I have got to get back to writing.

Oh, and thank you to my reviewers: Leonora, snorky50, and Amber.

Adrienne was sitting at her desk getting ready to go home. She sighed as she grabbed up her suitcase and started for the door. Another night sitting by the window and searching awaited her.

When she went to grab the doorhandle, it started to jiggle. She stepped back and the door opened. Her eyes widened when she saw Lucius standing there with a bunch of black roses.

Adrienne\'s mouth opened to say something, but she couldn\'t think of anything to say. She just motioned for him to come in. Lucius handed her the flowers, which she took, and he sat down on the edge of her desk. Adrienne closed the door and turned to him. She put down her suitcase and took the roses over to her desk.

\"Adrienne, you have a very good friend.\" Lucius said with a smirk.

Adrienne found her voice as curiosity drove her. \"How so?\"

\"Well, someone visited me today and let me know that I was missing something in my life.\"

\"And what was that?\" Adrienne asked quietly.

\"You. I thought that answer would be obvious.\" Lucius chuckled.

\"Yeah. I guess it was.\" Adrienne said, her voice trembling. \"May I ask whom this person was?\"

\"It was a young lady with the name of Nina Skylark.\"

Adrienne looked up. \"Nina came to see you? Why would she do that?\"

\"I am not very sure. She just told me that she was there to make me see that I was making a mistake ... by passing you up.\"

\"Oh.\"

\"I want you to know that I forgive you.\" Lucius said, taking a step towards her. \"I see why you kept it from me. I understand now. And I forgive you.\"

\"I\'m sorry, Lucius. I am. But if I had to do it all again, I would. I wouldn\'t miss the chance to meet you and fall in love with you.\" Adrienne said, closing her eyes. The warm feeling of forgiveness swimming around her.

\"Adrienne, I am assuming you are finished with work. Would you like to go somewhere? So, I can forgive you properly.\" Lucius said, bringing Adrienne close to him and rubbing her cheek.

\"I don\'t know. You did make wait for weeks. Torturing me, by not talking to me and not writing me. Should I just come back to you?\" Adrienne asked, seriously considering that.

\"Nina said you were waiting for me, so obviously you want me back. Stop acting.\" Lucius said.

\"I may have waited, but that was in the privacy of my own home. I must let you know that I do have dignity. I will not let you take my dignity away by coming back and thinking that I would just run back into your arms.\" Adrienne said, starting to get a bit angry. Which she didn\'t do much.

\"But I thought .... nevermind. Will you take me back or not?\" Lucius asked, rolling his eyes.

\"After you apoloigize and admit you were wrong to turn me away.\" Adrienne said, a smirk playing on her lips.

\"Malfoys don\'t apologize and they are never wrong.\" Lucius said, with every ounce of pride he had.

\"Just like you apologized to the Ministry and when you were wrong about Voldemort winning the war?\" Adrienne asked, wanting to laugh, but she kept that fact hidden well.

\"You really know how to hit below the belt.\" Lucius said in surprise that she would even bring up those things. \"Be careful, your Slythern side is showing.\"

\"Thank you for noticing. Now, back to what\'s going on. On your knees and kissing the hem of my robe will be sufficient.\" Adrienne said, looking to the floor, witing for him to do it.

Lucius looked at her in total shock. \"You can\'t be serious?\"

\"I am. And if it was good enough for your \'lord\', it should be good enough for me ... unless you don\'t think that I\'m as important as him.\"

\"You are as important.\"

\"Lucius, you should know that actions speak louder then words.\" Adrienne said, pointing to the bottom her robe.

\"Can\'t I do something something else?\" Lucius said, moving in to kiss her.

\"No. Kiss the robe or I will leave.\" Adrienne said, her mouth straightening into a straight line.

\"I hope you feel powerful knowing that I can\'t live without you.\" Lucius whispered into Adrienne\'s hair.

\"I do.\" Adrienne said.

Lucius bent down and looked back up at Adrienne, who was trying her hardest not laugh. Lucius lifted her robe up to his lips and gave it a dainty kiss. He got back up onto his feet and gave her a kiss, which she accepted. Lucius took her hand to lead away, but Adrienne pulled away.

\"What now?!\" Lucius asked, his voice rising.

\"You\'re supposed apologize, too.\" Adrienne said.

She must like to torture me, Lucius thought. \"I\'m sorry, Adrienne. I should have seen that you were just trying to be truthful with me. I should have thought before doing something so rash. Do you forgive me?\"

\"I\'m not sure.\" Adrienne said, closing one eye and putting one finger to her chin. Lucius, looked at her in disbelief. \"I\'m just kidding. I forgive you and am happy you forgave me. Now we are even.\"

\"Well, then, let\'s get out of here.\" Lucius said, unwrapping his arms from around Adrienne and leading her out of the office, out of the Ministry and back into his life.

That night Adrienne and Lucius apparated away to a favorite spot of his. A black sand beach of Jamacia. Adrienne was still a bit awed that Lucius had come back to her. She never would have thought it.

Lucius took them to a wizarding Inn. After checking in, Lucius took Adrienne down to the beach. The sun was just starting to set, causing a red, orange, and golden display in the sky overhead. The perfect romantic setting.

Adrienne sat down in Lucius\' lap and Lucius held Adrienne\'s waist. Holding onto her as tight as he could, as if she would float away into the night sky.

\"Lucius, don\'t be surprised by this, but I didn\'t think you would come back because you were a cold-hearted bastard.\" Adrienne said nervously.

\"I thought the same thing. I do have a reputation to uphold, I had to make you wait a little.\" Lucius said and Adrienne didn\'t know if he was joking or not.

\"So, what did Nina say to make you change your mind about leaving me?\" Adrienne asked, turning to look at Lucius. She thought his face and hair were absolutey beautiful in the soft moonlight.

\"Well she reminded me of all the sacrifices and hardships you had to endure just to keep our relationship going. I realized that I shouldn\'t throw what we worked so hard for away like that. I should have realized that when you first told me. That you were just trying to avoid an ugly mess by not telling me and when you finally did get the courage to tell me, I turned away. I shouldn\'t have.\" Lucius explained, turning Adrienne towards him.

\"You shouldn\'t have.\" Adrienne repeated, grabbing Lucius\' head and planting a deep kiss on his lips. \"But we should make up properly.\"

\"I agree completely.\" Lucius said, laying Adrienne on her back.

Lucius climbed on top of Adrienne and entered her slowly. She gasped and let her legs fall open more. They looked each other in the eyes. He multiplied his thrusting, striking Adrienne\'s delicate womb with each thrust.

\"Lucius, yes, yes, oh my god!\" Adrienne whispered in Lucius\' ear.

\"I\'m not god, but thanks for the flattery.\" Lucius smirked.

Adrienne grabbed onto Lucius\' hair. Lucius reared up, grabbed her ankles, and raised them to get deeper. That made her let go of his hair, which is what Adrienne knew he wanted. It hurt Adrienne a little, but it felt so naughtily good.

\"Adrienne, you feel so good!\" Lucius whispered.

Adrienne could feel herself tighten around Lucius. Adrienne came screaming Lucius\' name, over and over. Adrienne was very surprised that her screams couldn\'t be heard all over the beach, but no one seemed to notice. Lucius must have put up a silencing charm and obscuring charm, Adrienne thought. She could feel him pound into her once more. Then Lucius came and collapse on top of her. Then they fell asleep in each other\'s arms.

The next morning, Adrienne was the first one up. She looked over to Lucius and sighed lovingly. She looked around after a minute, they were still outside. Adrienne laughed to herself. He didn\'t even have to book that room, it\'s not like we stayed in there, she said in her mind.

Lucius roused next to Adrienne and gave her a small kiss on the neck. Adrienne took his arm and wrapped it around herself. They watched as the sun got higher into the sky and the scene out in front of them looked more beautiful than before.

\"We can go back, unless you want to stay?\" Lucius asked, sitting up.

\"I\'ll go anywhere you want as long as you come with me. If you are ready to go, then so am I.\" Adrienne beamed.

\"Such thoughtful words. How is it that you know exactly how to make me love you even more?\" Lucius said outloud, even though he meant to say that to himself.

\"Lucius, that\'s the first time you actually said that you loved me.\" Adrienne said, a smile bigger than ever crept onto her face.

Lucius thought for a moment and then his face brightened. \"Is it? I hadn\'t noticed.\"

Adrienne breathed in the scent of the air. \"So, Lucius, where do we go from here, now?\"

\"Where do you want to go?\"

\"Don\'t start that. I\'m serious.\" Adrienne chided.

\"I am also. Where do you see us going? Where do you see us in five years?\" Lucius asked, looking Adrienne in the eye.

Adrienne rubbed her neck and let out a sigh. \"I don\'t know. I don\'t know where this is going. I hope it\'s going somewhere, that we won\'t just be together for a few more months and then it\'s over. I want us to last.\"

\"How serious are you about that? I\'m not some young wizard who is interested in playing games. If you\'re serious ... we should maybe talk about something a bit more permenent.\" Lucius said, looking more serious than Adrienne had ever seen him.

Adrienne thought for a minute. Was she really serious? More permenent? That most likely meant marriage or ... something along those lines. \"I\'m serious, Lucius. More serious than you could ever surmise.\"

\"Good. I think we should take a more proper trip to celebrate our relationship moving to the next level.\" Lucius said, grabbing his cane, which contained his wand, and dressed both of them.
