Chapter 14: Secret Revealed

Chapter 14: Secret Revealed

Harry and Ron were seated at the Common room table trying to do the work they had received that day. It had been over 2 weeks now since Harry and Isabelle shared a word. Ron found this to be extremely odd. They were always together and it did make him jealous and now that they aren’t he just felt weird. Worst of all Harry was being mean and wouldn’t talk to Him and Hermione about what was going on.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Meanwhile~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Isabelle walked down from the girls dorms and looked over to the table. There he was. Isabelle turned around and headed over to the couches. She wasn’t going to go near him. She hadn’t for the last 2 weeks and she wasn’t about to start now. None of this was her problem, its all his. If he can’t be happy with who she wants to be with then he could go and jump off a cliff for all she cared.
Ron and Harry looked at Isabelle as she sat down on the couch. Ron looked at Harry and saw a disgruntled expression. Harry turned away sharply. Ron kept looking at Harry. He couldn’t understand this. They were really close friends and now they hardly even look at each other.
“Harry?” Ron whispered softly.
“What is it Ron?” Harry snapped.
“What’s going on between you and Isabelle?” Ron asked.
“Nothing!” Harry closed his book and looked over at Isabelle. Should he really tell Ron what happened? Ron looked at him. He hoped it wasn’t what he thought it was.
“Did you two… Did you get together or something?” Ron gaped. Harry looked at Ron for a moment.
“No.” Harry shook his head.
“Then I don’t get this Harry. What is going on between you two?” Ron was getting frustrated. Harry was about to open his mouth when the Common room door opened.
“HARRY!” Hermione’s voice shouted. Everyone in the common room looked up to her. Isabelle wondered what she was doing. Hermione held on to a piece of paper and walked to the table.
“What is it?” Harry asked.
“Where’s Isabelle I need Isabelle to be here.” Hermione looked stunned.
“Why what’s happened?”
“I’m here.” Isabelle called walking up behind Hermione. Hermione looked at her and motioned for her to sit down. Harry rolled his eyes at having Isabelle with them.
“Um I found this in Dumbledore’s office.” Hermione handed the piece of paper over to Isabelle.
To my Dearest Isabelle,
I guess that you have decided to find your biological father and I seeing as you got this letter.
Your father and I want you to know that we love you very very much and that it was extremely hard to do what we did and I regret it so often. Every time I think of you it hurts in my heart, but we had to do what was best for you. When the time is right we will bring you back to us like it should have been.
I feel that I must explain why your father and I chose to give you away and I know it may sound stupid but we were scared of your safety. I had been told that after you were born that if you lived with your father and I it would have caused you problems, and we didn’t want that at all.
I am also leaving one important factor out of this and I know you should know it and I fear that you shall hate us for doing this. You also have a twin brother… Harry that we have kept with us. We do not want you to think that we chose him over you at all. You were both loved equally and I ache for you every second of everyday and I will for the rest of my life till I have you back here with me again.
Love your mother and father,
Lily and James Potter.
Isabelle put down the paper and rested her head in her hands as she thought over what it had said. Tears automatically fell from Isabelle’s eyes. Harry and Ron looked at Isabelle curiously; it couldn’t be that bad could it. Harry picked up the letter thinking it was about Snape. Hermione sat down with Isabelle and put a hand to her shoulder.
“What’s wrong?” Ron asked, trying to read the letter over Ron’s shoulder. Isabelle looked up at Harry and wiped her eyes. Harry put down the letter and looked at Isabelle. They both glared at each other for what seemed like a very long time. Ron took the letter and read it for himself.
“You can’t be.” Harry whispered. “I would have known.” Harry looked down at his lap. Now it was his sister that was having an affair with Snape, more worse then it being a best friend.
“Well you didn’t know. No one did.” Isabelle grabbed the letter off Ron. Ron sat there staring at Isabelle in awe. “What are you looking at Ron?” Isabelle snapped.
“You… you…” Ron pointed at Isabelle and Harry. “Are brother and sister?”
“Yes Ron we know.” Harry and Isabelle said together.
“No sister of mine will be going out with Severus Snape.” Harry hissed quietly. Isabelle’s eye’s widened.
“HOW DARE YOU HARRY!” Isabelle stood up. “Why can’t you get over it? It’s my life NOT YOURS!” Isabelle took the paper and walked out of the common room.
“What was that?” Ron asked looking confused. Harry rested his head on the table. He was so stupid for doing what he did.
“Are you telling me that Snape and Isabelle are actually having a relationship?” Hermione was in utter shock, she couldn’t believe that something like this would actually happen.
“Yes. That’s why I haven’t been talking to her.” Harry murmured. Ron looked pale and sad. Hermione thought for a moment.
“You know Harry maybe Isabelle is right. Get over it and let her live her life. She’ll make mistakes and learn from them. That’s what we all do.” Hermione didn’t really understand why she was saying this but she did.
“Hermione you of all people I thought would be against it.” Harry spat.
“Well Harry maybe there’s actually something good between them. Maybe he’s different with her.”
“Oh he is different with her? I’ll believe that when I see it.” Harry snorted.
“Harry. Do you want to lose Isabelle, your sister?” Hermione asked seriously. Harry sat there for a moment. There was a long pause
“No.” He shook his head softly.
“Well then what do you have to do to stop losing her?”
“Let it go?”
“Correct. Now when she comes back I want you to apologize to her and treat her like she’s your sister just don’t do it in a bad way.” Hermione stood up and walked around besides them. “Ron lighten up. There’s always someone else for you.” Ron grumbled. Hermione walked off up to the girls dorms.
“But now that she is my sister Voldemort might want her to.”
“I’m sure with you two working together it will be alright.” Hermione smiled and continued walking.
“Oh well I better go and find her I guess.” Harry stood up too and headed out of the common room.
Isabelle walked though the hallways angrily. She couldn’t believe this Harry was her brother her actually blood brother. The one person she was close to was her brother and he didn’t even acknowledge it. She knew that Ron and Hermione would know about her and Snape now. What was she going to do about them? They’ll never leave her alone, bothering her telling her it’s not right, that Dumbledore should know what Snape’s doing. Isabelle couldn’t be bothered with it and didn’t want to get Dumbledore involved.
Isabelle decided to go to Snape and have a little talk to him. He could help her relax. She walked down to the dark hallways and searched for Snape’s office. She stopped at the door and knocked on it.
“Come in.” Snape’s voice sounded. Isabelle turned the door knob and walked into the office. Snape looked at her tear ridden face. “What is wrong Isabelle?” He asked. Isabelle walked up to him and gave him the letter.
“That is what’s wrong.” Isabelle sat down in the chair in front of his desk. Snape skimmed over the letter his eyes opening wide. This couldn’t be. She couldn’t be the child of a man that he hated. He put down the letter and slid it back over to Isabelle.
“You are a Potter?” He stood up and turned his back to her.
“Yes.” Isabelle nodded. Snape suddenly thought that his relationship with Isabelle wasn’t going to work. He couldn’t be with her, not the spawn of James Potter, the sister of the boy who lived.
“They are nothing but trouble.” Snape turned around.
“Sorry?” Isabelle looked confused.
“I said that Potters are nothing but trouble.” Snape spat harshly. Isabelle stood up.
“You’re calling me trouble!?”
“Precisely.” Snape didn’t really know what he was doing, all he knew was that the Potter’s have only ever been bad luck to him. He was pushing her away. There was a long pause. “I do not think we should keep going with our relationship.”
“WHAT?” Isabelle shouted, jumping out of her chair in shock. “Because I’m a Potter?” Severus looked at her for a long moment.
“No… I just do not think that it is right.” Severus lied.
“OH BULLOCKS SEV! I can’t believe you. I CAN’T BELIEVE I YOU!” Isabelle let out a scream.
“DON’T use that tone with me.” Snape hissed.
“Do you actually think I CARE ABOUT THAT NOW!?” Isabelle grabbed her letter. “You out of all people I though was the one I could trust the most.” Isabelle felt her heart shatter in to little pieces. “I guess I was wrong and Harry was right.” Isabelle walked out of the door. Snape’s heart felt odd, he knew what he was going through but didn’t want to admit it.
“How does Potter know?” Snape snapped out of his thoughts.
“Because I told him, and I’ve lost him too.” Isabelle opened the door. “I regret ever being with you.” Isabelle felt tears slide down her dry cheek. Snape looked away from her. “I hate you.” Isabelle murmured. Those words hit Snape the most. Those three words did it for him, his heart felt as though it had broken, a pain seared through his chest. Isabelle slammed the door shut behind her. Snape felt like running after her and telling her he was sorry but he couldn’t move.
Isabelle stood by door. She hadn’t meant a word she just said. She didn’t regret anything, and she didn’t hate him she loved him. She was just really hurt. The tears ran down her cheek, her heart ached like it had never ached before. Today wasn’t going to well for her. First she finds out she’s Harry’s twin sister then Snape dumps her. She couldn’t understand why.
The rage built up in the pit of her stomach. She ran off, her heart pounding. She was going to destroy everything that had to do with him. He no longer wanted her and she no longer wanted anything that had to do with him. She ran as fast as she could up to the portrait of the fat lady.
“Password?” The fat lady asked.
“Butter nut.” Isabelle hissed. The portrait moved and Isabelle entered the common room. Right there stood Harry. He looked up at Isabelle and his face fell at the sight of her.
“Isa? What is wrong?” Harry asked.
“What do you care Harry?” Isabelle snapped.
“I do care… you are my sister.”
“That’s just an excuse to get at me now. I wish I never knew that you were my brother.” Isabelle walked right past him.
“Isabelle!” Harry grabbed her wrist. “I mean it. What’s wrong?”
“I broke up with him ok! Are you Happy now?!” Isabelle pulled away her wrist and ran up to her room. Harry stood there feeling… feeling guilty for Isabelle’s pain. Isabelle ran to her room slamming the door behind her. She reached under her bed and pulled out her books and sheets of parchment that she had drawn on.
One by one every single thing that contained Snape was being shredded in to pieces, laying on the floor. Isabelle ripped and ripped the papers. Her hands not stopping the motion till she got to the very last piece. The poem she had written. Her heart ached the most at this very moment, her chest began to hurt, hurt so bad that she couldn’t breath.
She grabbed the paper between her hands and ripped it down the middle. The tears fell freely burning her skin as they slipped down. She was stupid to ever have started anything. It always ends up bad for her. Nothing is ever good. She ripped and ripped till the pieces looked like confetti on the ground, one huge pile of confetti.
Isabelle hopped on to her bed and buried her face in to her pillow, hiding her sobs of pain.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Meanwhile~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Snape paced his office angry, finally being able to move. He was angry, very angry! He didn’t know what to do anymore. What had he just done? Why did he have to say those things? Why couldn’t he just keep his stupid big mouth shut for once in his bloody life?

“Stupid, Why did I have to be so BLOODY STUPID?!” Snape walked up to his potion shelf and knocked them all off angrily, listening to the shatters of glass as the glass jars hit the cold stone floor. Snape grabbed a few more in his hands and threw then against the door. He was making a mess, but nothing that he couldn’t clean up in a second.

He walked over to a cupboard and opened it. Inside was a lone bottle of fire whisky and a large glass. He grabbed the fire whisky and poured himself the amount that the glass could fit. He sat down at his desk and gulped down as much fire whisky as he could. The burning pain in his throat didn’t matter to him, it was delightful compared to the other pain her was suffering.

But she was 17. Snape heard a voice in his head murmur.

“But I… I love her.” Snape whispered back.

What can she give you? She is a little girl.

“She is not a little girl!” Snape snapped. Pouring another glass full of fire whisky. “She can give me everything.”

No she could not. She is Potter’s sister. You know how much you hate the Potters…

“But I don’t hate her! Leave me alone!” Snape stood up taking the bottle of fire whisky with him he walked out of his office deciding to go on a little wonder.

*****
Harry walked through the common room in his invisibility cloak. He wanted to go up and see Isabelle and make sure she’s alright. He walked up the stars keeping to one side in case someone had come down. He walked up so far not seeing anyone, so he continued down the hall way. He walked for a while searching for Isabelle’s room.

At the end of a hallway he could see a door that flashed at him oddly. He walked up to it and on the door was Isabelle’s and Hermione’s name. He knocked on the door and heard no answer. He tried to turn the door handle and it opened up. On a bed he could see Isabelle with her head buried in to a pillow, next to her a pile of ripped up parchment.

“Isabelle?” Harry whispered. He could hear her softly sob. Harry closed the door and walked over to Isabelle’s bed. He threw off his cloak and sat down beside her. “Don’t cry.”

“I can’t help it Harry.” Isabelle turned her head to Harry, her face red and stained with wetness.

“Its best you get over him you know. I mean there are a lot of other boys that would love to go out with you.” Harry moved her hair out of her face.

“I don’t want anyone else.” Isabelle sniffed. Harry looked at her softly.

“Come.” Harry put out his arms. Isabelle pushed her self up and hugged Harry. Harry and Isabelle stayed like that for a while. Both not noticing that the time was passing by.

*****
Harry left Isabelle’s room and looked up. Walking by he saw Amanda. He hadn’t had a word with her in the longest time. She looked at him with a frown and walked away.

“Amanda wait!” Harry ran after her.

“What Harry?” Amanda sighed.

“Can we please get back together again?”

“No Harry,” Amanda shook her head. “I’m not going to go through what I did before.”

“I promise there isn’t anything going on between Isabelle and I.”

“Yeah and how am I supposed to believe that?”

“Because Isabelle is my sister…” Harry whispered. Amanda’s face held a shocked expression.

“Oh Harry that’s the worst lie ever! I can’t believe you’d stoop so low!” Amanda couldn’t believe what he was saying.

“No Amanda its true. Please I wouldn’t lie about something like that. You can ask her if you like?”

“Hmm.” Amanda looked at the door that Harry had come out through. “What were you doing in her room?”

“She’s a little upset over something. I just went to tell her that I was sorry for being rude to her earlier on today.”

“Well if she is upset then I will ask her later when she isn’t.” Amanda turned around to walk away.

“Amanda please…” Harry begged. “I don’t want to be with out you.” Amanda stopped walking and turned back to face him.

“Harry, when we were together you made me feel so left out. You were always with Isabelle or someone else. Never me… I just don’t want to do that again.”

“I promise it won’t be like that.” Harry walked up to her. “I’ll do what ever you want?” Amanda laughed.

“Ok. But if it happens again. I swear Harry it will be over as fast as you can say snitch.”

“Yes.” Harry pulled Amanda in to a hug.
