A Friend in Need
Hey All welcome to my first ever Fan Fiction, most of the characters are not mine no matter how much I would love them to be. The only character that is mine is Aphrodite Taylor, she is mine all mine, he he. Hope you enjoy.
Back in his room Severus carefully opened up the letter and began reading it, he recognised the handwriting immediately.
\"Dionysius\"
Im using this name In case someone reads this and suspects anything.
I trust everything is going well at Hogwarts? the master asked me to write and see that Severus does not suspect you of anything.
Yours, Lucius.
Severus hadn\'t much clue as to what this letter meant, but he did know that it wasn\'t sounded too good, best thing to do would be to go to Dumbledore and explain his findings. He strode out the door and down the corridor, along the way he bumped into Remus, he explained to Remus that he thought Aphrodite was in danger because Dion was in contact with Lucius and that Voldermort wanted Aphrodite for her telekinetic powers. Both men hurried to Dumbledore\'s office to find that Dion had already got there.
\"Severus, I wish to have a word with you\" Dumbledore said in a serious tone.
\"Ok, but can I suggest that me and Remus would also like to consult you over something....alone\" and then Severus shot a glare at Dion.
Dumbledore nodded and made Dion leave the room, making sure Dion had properly gone Severus began to speak.
\"Albus, I think Aphro..\" But Dumbledore cut him short.
\"Severus before you begin, I will not tolerate you harassing other members of the staff, is that clear?\" Remus chuckled, Severus looked a bit shocked by that last statement.
\"Then you wont want to hear my comment then, seeing as im not allowed to \'harass\' anyone I\'ll let Remus explain\" Severus said in a very sarcastic tone.
\"Remus?\" Dumbledore didn\'t respond to Severus\'s last remark and turned to Remus to explain themselves.
\"Right well Severus found a letter to Dion, and erm read it, it was from Lucius Malfoy and Severus thinks..well I happen to agree with him, that Aphrodite is in danger given her situation last time\" Dumbledore stood in silence for a while, he then started to speak with a grave tone.
\"I hear what your saying, I must insist that you do what you can to keep her safe, It will however be a problem seeing as she trusts him one hundred percent. Remus I want you and Sirius to spend as much time with her as possible, like you did when you first arrived here\" Remus nodded, Severus fidgeted.
\"Severus, I know it will be hard for you but I want you to try and lure her away from Dion, send her flowers and other romantic gestures, but dont let her know its you or Dion will report to Voldermort and you will also be in danger\" It was Severus\'s turn to nod, then he and Remus walked out of Dumbledore\'s office in silence.
Remus left Severus after a while in order to fill Sirius in on the news, Severus went to his room to think about what he could do to try and lure her into thng sng someone else was interested in her, flowers seemed obvious, that\'s what he\'d do tomorrow, he grew rather tired, with the ball and everything he decided sleep would be a good idea.
Next morning he awoke with only a few minutes left to get to breakfast on time, he quickly dragged himself out of bed god got dressed, he then went at a rather fast pace into the great hall, Remus and Sirius were sitting in their original places, Dion was next to Sirius so Severus walked past them and sat in one seat away from Remus in the vain hope that Aphrodite would sit in-between him and Remus. When she did come in she seemed in a distant world, she was singing quietly to herself and to Severus\'s delight she placed herself between him and Remus. Aphrodite hadn\'t been in the great hall all that long before a flock of owls came in, some owls headed towards the students but at least five owls were carrying a big bunch of roses, Aphrodite looked up as they landed in front of her almost knocking her bowl of cereal over. She looked at the roses, the whole hall was looking at her in amazement. She picked up the card that came with them and read it out quietly so only the staff could hear her.
\"Aphrodite, you are indeed the goddess of love and beauty, you\'ve also captured my heart, love your secret admirer x x x\"
Aphrodite started to blush, Dion wasn\'t at all amused by this in the slightest, but seeing as he wasn\'t sitting next to her he didn\'t say anything, he just stood up and stormed out the hall. Aphrodite noticed this and asked Remus to watch over the flowers while she went after him. Once she\'d left the room Remus looked at Severus and grinned.
\"I never knew you had any romantic bones inside you Severus\" Remus said trying not to laugh.
\"I don\'t but if I had put \'Fancy a quickie?\' she would have known it was me\" he retorted.
Remus was about to say something else but Aphrodite came back in looking flustered, she seemed to be in a bit of pain as she sat down, she turned to Severus.
\"Wasn\'t you was it who sent me the flowers?\" she asked gingerly
\"No certainly wasn\'t, I wouldn\'t want you fiancé after my blood!\" he said shortly.
Aphrodite turned back to her food and said quietly \"He thought it was you, sorry I asked\" Severus just eyed her suspiciously, she wasn\'t looking as content as she was earlier.
Aphrodite went to her first lesson, it was to be the third years, at least they didn\'t make her lessons hard to teach. She walked in to find most of her students had already arrived, she walked to the front of the class and started to write on the blackboard a few key words, she was halfway through writing \'sports\' when she felt a sharp pain from inside her.
\"Professor? Are you ok?\" asked Hermione Granger
\"Fine, thank you\" Aphrodite said wincing
\"You sure cause you seem to be in pain?\" Hermione asked again
\"Yeah, its just I walked into a table earlier\" She had to make something up, the real reason for the pain wasn\'t anything to talk to the students about, she couldn\'t talk to the staff about it so students were definitely out. After the third year lessons she had free periods till after dinner so she retired to her rooms. She lay on her bed holding herself above the stomach, she was in great pain, in half an hour Severus would have a free period, so she would go and see him about some anti-pain potion.
