Secrets Revealed

A/N: Thank you everyone for your continued support for this story. I’m sorry this chapter took so long. I have had several family problems and my son, Ryder, has been in and out of the hospital. Hopefully the chapters will be coming in a more even flow now that my son is home. Again, I am sorry for the delay.

Enjoy!

~***********************************************************~

Harry Potter stood in his office and looked down at the young boy who sat in the chair across from him nursing his arm that had just been mended. Scorpius was sitting properly, very unlike the eleven year old boy that he was, and was dressed in very expensive business casual attire. It was very obvious that he was Draco Malfoy’s son. They had been sitting there for almost twenty minutes, just staring at one another waiting for one of them to speak.

“How’s your arm?” Harry asked, looking at the thin boy. He looked up at Harry, obviously with the confident air that his Grandfather had taught him, but he seemed much more humble and even frightened, although Harry was sure that the boy would not admit to it.

“It is still a little sore, Mr. Potter sir.” Scorpius rolled his wrist on his hand one last time and then placed his hands in his lap. He folded his leg and leaned back in the chair, making himself very comfortable. From where Harry was standing, Scorpius looked like he was interviewing for a job instead of being interrogated...

“Your father teaches you to sit like that?” Scorpius didn’t understand the question.
“Like what sir?”

“Like you are trying to make a good impression. My son Albus, he’s eleven as well, he curls up in chairs and can’t seem to sit still.” Harry smiled as he thought of his young son. Scorpius lit up.

“How is Albus? Does he miss Hogwarts yet? I do. I miss him. He and Rose and I like to wander around and annoy Mr. Filch. One day Headmistress McGonagall brought us into her office and lectured us for a whole hour.” Scorpius smiled and laughed as he recollected past events. Harry couldn’t help but smile.

“Oh really? What about?”

“See, we set off an exploding swamp in the third floor corridor. Mr. Filch found it and had a conniption fit. He called Professor McGonagall and blamed it on us. She lectured us on the dangers of repeating the mistakes of our parents. She also called Rose the next Fred Weasley. Rose cried a little, but it was ok. She told us a bunch of stories about how you and Mrs. Weasley and Mr. Weasley would get in lots of trouble roaming the halls and getting into trouble that you shouldn’t have been in.”

Harry laughed and sat down in his office chair. Scorpius sounded very similar to him. Albus had been very quiet since he came home. Mainly because of all the death and destruction. He had tried to take care of Rose. After Ron died, Albus had spent several hours sitting with Rose while she cried. Rose found out that her brother had died when she got home. The combination was set up for a crazy household.

Harry was still reminiscing when an Auror led Draco Malfoy into his office. Immediately Scorpius shot out of the chair and became the eleven year old boy that he was supposed to be.

“Dad! Dad! I’m so glad you’re ok!” The young boy seized his father around the neck. Draco lifted the tall boy off of the ground and hugged him very tightly. Scorpius was tall for his age, but he paled in comparison to his father who now towered over six feet three. Draco looked much different than he had nineteen years ago. Even though Harry had seen him testify against his own wife, Harry was still very skeptical of where Draco stood in this new war.

The man who had been Harry’s rival so many years ago was so very different. His face was older. Draco was thirty-six years old now with an eleven year old son. His face had wrinkles and his clothes were more comfortable than proper. His shoulders were broader, his skin tanner and everything about him just seemed different. Harry stood out of respect and watched as the man carried his son across the room and tossed him into the chair he had been sitting in moments before.

“Draco.” Harry said courtly, extending his right hand. Draco looked up and met his gaze. However, to Harry’s surprise, there was no smirk and no hint of contempt. He extended his hand and grasped Harry’s hand in respect.

“Harry Potter. It’s been a long time.” The man smiled a brilliant white smile and Harry smiled back.

“Good to see you Malfoy.”

“Same to you Potter.”

Draco seated himself in the chair next to his son and looked back at Harry. Harry seated himself as well.

“Draco. What is going on?”

“Your guess is as good as mine. I just came home from my lunch with Hermione Weasley to find my only son having his life beaten out of him by my father and two people I used to call my acquaintances. All I know is that they have Hermione somewhere and Rose is missing.”

“Did they say anything at all? Anything about where they took Hermione or maybe about what happened to Rose. Why didn’t they get Rose? How did she get away?” Harry was panicked. After all, this was his best friend, his sister-in-law and his niece. The two women were important to Harry. Draco put his face in his hands and covered his eyes.

“Harry, I don’t know! I left her at Diagon Alley and I went to the Cauldron for a few hours. Then I came home. I don’t know what happened to her.”

“Mr. Potter…” Scorpius interjected, but was ignored.

“Listen Draco. I know you used to have some involvement in all of the dark arts and, if I recall correctly, you tried to kill me on more than one occasion. I also know that you used to have more than a hatred for Hermione…”

“Harry. I haven’t touched her. I swear to you. I feel like shit since it was my waste of a wife that killed Ron. I would never hurt Hermione. I know that I have hurt you and Hermione in the past. But I have put that behind me. Harry I swear. I have no idea what happened to Mione…”

“DON’T FUCKING CALL HER THAT!” You are not Ron and you are not her family. You aren’t even her friend. Tell me where she is you son-of-a-bitch!

“Honestly Harry! I don’t know!! I don’t know Harry, please. I swear to you. I would never hurt Hermione! Never!”

“Mr. Potter…I know where Rose…” Scorpius tried to interject, but was ignored again.

“WHY SHOULD I BELIEVE YOU? YOU TRAITOR!” Harry shouted standing and throwing things off of his desk. Draco was becoming paranoid and Scorpius curled up in the chair he was sitting in.

“Harry please! I DON’T KNOW WHERE SHE IS!”

“Fucking Traitorous Murderer!”

“DON’T CALL ME THAT! I AM NOT A TRAITOR!!”

“DEATH EATER!”

Draco did not respond and Harry stopped shouting. This had hit a nerve. Draco stared up at Harry. Scorpius however, broke the silence.

“You were a Death Eater?” Draco turned to his son who backed away from his own father. Draco stared and sobbed where he was sitting.

“Scorpius, I was young. It was almost twenty years ago. I am not like that anymore. I swear son.” Draco was horrified. Harry was as well.

“Malfoy. I am so sorry. I didn’t…I didn’t…”

“You didn’t know that I hadn’t told my son what my past mistakes were. That I have been trying to hide the Death Eater card from my child. I have been trying to make a new life for my children for the past twenty years. I know you may not think anything of it because again, it was the Malfoys that committed new murders and are involved in pure-blood fanaticism. You didn’t realize what might come out of that comment? Cursing like a sailor in front of my eleven year old son and for what! I don’t know where Hermione is. Her and Rose left! I thought they would be fine on their own. I didn’t realize that there was another snake in my house. My son and I have done nothing but try and redeem ourselves in the eyes of the ministry, but apparently once a Malfoy, always a Malfoy. Are you happy now?”

Everything was silent. Scorpius stared back and forth from the two men and sat back in the chair. This was a lot to take in. Harry sat back down in his chair and rubbed his chin. This wasn’t going like he thought it would.

“Draco…I’m…”

“I know where Rose is.” Scorpius’s sudden outburst made both men turn and stare. Scorpius shrugged. “I’ve been trying to tell you the whole time.”

“Scorpius! Where is she?”

Just as if she had been conjured by magic, Rose Weasley raced into the room, running out of breath and stared at the men in the room.

“Rosie!” Scorpius sprung out of his seat and ran toward his friend and took her in his arms. Her eyes were teary and Scorpius held her tightly. She shook within his grasp. Harry stared at the two and then at Draco. Draco had the same reaction. This was a bridge between the two generations. Everything was crazy.

“Rose.” Harry said. She turned and looked at her Uncle. She released Scorpius and walked to her Uncle and gave him a great big hug. Harry brushed his fingers through her wild mane of red hair and breathed a sigh of relief. One woman was safe. Rose cried loudly and Harry held her for what seemed like forever.

“Rose what happened? Where is your mother?” The hard question was over.

“Scorpius, should we tell them everything?” Draco and Harry were confused. Was Scorpius in on this? Scorpius looked at Rose and nodded.

“Scorpio, Al and I have been trailing our new Defense against the Dark Arts instructor. We found out that he has been part of the pure-blood rebellion from the get go and he is starting to recruit the Slytherin children to come and become part of the allegiance to spy on the other teachers. He knows all about the Order and He has a spy on the inside...” Rose began.

“Two months ago, James gave me this map that he stole from your desk drawer. It has little labeled dots for every person in Hogwarts. We have been using it to trace Professor Elkridge and two of his cronies a man named Amycus Carrow…”

“And Henry Collins…” Scorpius interjected. The two adults watched the children with keen interest.
“One night, The Carrow twins broke into the Gryffindor Dormitory and they started ransacking the common area. Albus saw them and ran to find Rose. Together, they hid underneath this magical invisibility cloak that you gave to James, who gave it to Albus to make sure that Rose was safe. James spends most of his time hiding with his invisibility charms. They snuck out of the common room and I met them in the room of requirement. See, we found these coins and they can be charmed to say whatever you want them to say. So we have been using them to communicate where we need to meet and hide out or chat.”

“Where did you…”

“In the Room of Requirement. We found two sets of them though. One set can communicate with people in Hogsmede and the other set can communicate with people inside of Hogwarts. They look similar though and you can’t tell whether they are real galleons or not!” Rose spouted, showing off one of the coins. It was a charmed galleon and on the rim where the serial number should be were the words. ‘Scorpius, attacked C&C. HELP’ -R

“Well, we watched them on the map and then followed them into the Defense against the Dark Arts classroom.”

“They started talking about this plan. There were twelve people there. There was Prof. Elkridge, Jerome Johnson, The Carrow twins, Henry Collins, Astoria Malfoy, and several other people. They were talking about this plan to help take over the school and rid it of mixed blood students. It was almost like the war of the Dark Lord twenty years ago.”

“Anyway. They asked the Carrow twins why they hadn’t found Rose. They started talking about how she wasn’t in there and everyone started panicking thinking that maybe the order was on to them. Of course, they started to plan retaliation before someone found out about them. They planned to attack the ministry and kill off the Aurors, or as many as they could.”

Draco and Harry were stunned.

“What happened this afternoon?” Harry asked, trying to be patient. He had so many questions to ask, but not enough time to ask them. He hoped that the kids would explain what was going on.

“Momma and I were heading home when our apparition was intercepted by the Carrow twins and Prof. Elkridge. Mom tried to fight them off, but there were too many of them. So I tried to run, but they overpowered me and they took Momma back to their base.”

“Rose, how did you escape?” Draco asked questioningly. Rose blushed and looked at Scorpius. He shrugged.

“Might as well tell them now. No more secrets right?”

“Tell me what!” Harry demanded.

“I told momma about the rebellion and I asked her to teach me some very important magic skills. She taught me several spells, but most importantly. She taught me how to apparate.”

Suddenly everything was coming together and not necessarily in a good way. Not only were their children involved in some very dangerous activities, it was almost like the past was repeating itself. Rose was the new Harry. The Pure-blood rebellion was after her because she was Hermione’s daughter and a half-breed. The map and the cloak, which were Harry’s old trinkets, were in the possession of his son Albus and they were using it to sneak out of bed. The coins Hermione and Draco had charmed so many years ago were now being used to communicate through their children and they were suspicious of the Defense against the Dark Arts teacher who was the one who was secretly plotting against Rose. Scorpius, being the person providing the comfort and care for Rose was almost like he was Ron. It was like the three children were the descendents of the Golden Trio, despite who they actually were. Harry was awestruck. He was reliving his first year of Hogwarts all over again in fast motion through his son and his niece.

“Rose. Your mother knows about this?” Harry asked, eying the young girl carefully. She nodded.

“Alright then. Well, I have the feeling that I need to round up several Aurors and send them out to hunt down Hermione!”

“I’m coming with you! It’s my mother. And I don’t think she would feel comfortable without you having someone with brains to back you up!” Harry shook his head and escorted his niece out the door. Scorpius and Draco stared at them for a moment. Scorpius rose out of his chair and started hurrying toward the door, hoping his father would not be angry with his escapades.

“What animal are you?” The question set Scorpius off balance. He turned and faced his father and looked at him questioningly.

“Sir?”

“What animal do you turn into?” Draco asked his son more closely. Scorpius stared his father down and shook his head.

“I don’t know what on Earth you are talking about.” Scorpius turned to leave, but his father’s voice halted him once more.

“Son. We don’t own a cat.”

Scorpius turned and stared, horrified. His father had a stern look on his face. Scorpius was terrified.

“An eagle.” Scorpius muttered softly, looking at his father. Draco stared back at him once more.

“And Albus?”

“A phoenix.”

Draco shook his head and rose from his chair. He patted his son on the shoulder and they walked out. Just like his father and his father before him. Albus was Harry reincarnated.

*~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~*

Hermione shook violently against the chains that she was bound with. She was lying on a table on her back. The dungeon they had put her in was dark and damp and she could hear the rats and other creatures crawling around her. She wasn’t afraid of the rats. She had survived the last war and she wasn’t going to let a few rats creep her out. Not after she had looked in the eyes of death eaters and dementors and Voldemort.

She heard the sound of boots on the concrete and whipped her head in the direction of the sound. The voice that echoed sent shivers down her spine.

“Nineteen years ago you were promised to me as a gift for my services. I found you, I captured you and now, and I am finally going to get what I wanted.”

Fenrir Greyback walked into the light of the moon that was shining above them from the skylight. It was not a full moon, but Hermione could still see the wolf-like features in his face. He was bare-chested and hairy. He walked slowly, eyeing the woman and licking his lips.

“I have waited nineteen years for this! Nineteen years of preying off of the flesh of prostitutes and now. Oh Mudblood. I am going to enjoy this.

The silence was broken by the sound of a zipper being undone. A scream chocked in Hermione’s throat and all she could do was sob.
