Things Happen

A/N: I hate to tell you, but this story is done. *tear* here is the Epilogue. I hope everyone enjoyed this story and thank you everyone for your reviews.

“Snape, Aeris” eleven year old Aeris Snape stood up nervously when her name was called by professor Flitwick. Walking slowly to the stool that was sitting in front of the whole school, Aeris cast a look up at the head table to meet her parents eyes, her mom gave an encouraging smile and Aeris sat down and took a deep breath and the sorting hat was dropped onto her head and covered her eyes.

Two people watched this sorting ceremony with heavy hearts, their last child was about to be sorted and what Hermione wanted to do more then anything was yank the hat off of her youngest daughters head and yell that she was still a baby it wasn’t time for her to go to Hogwarts yet, but Aeris Marie Snape was eleven years old and more then ready to go to school.

“Don’t cry yet ‘Mione, you don’t want to embarrass her.” Severus whispered to his wife.

“I can’t help it she is our baby. Why do they have to grow up?” Severus took his wife’s hand and gave it a squeeze. They both looked back to the ceremony to hear their daughter get sorted into Gryffindor. Hermione smiled a little. “That is two for me, one for you and one in Ravenclaw.” Hermione bragged a little now that 17 year old Gabe and 11 year old Aeris were both in Gryffindor their 14 year old daughter was sorted into Slytherin 3 years earlier which surprised everyone, because Madelyn didn’t have any Slytherin traits, but she was doing great there and it didn’t really matter which house they got sorted into. Alyson who was sorted into Ravenclaw was now married to James Potter much to her fathers’ displeasure, but she did give them a Granddaughter named Katie so all was forgiven.

Aeris looked at her mum and grinned then glanced at her father and stuck out her tongue playfully as she took her seat next to her brother. The feast ended quickly after that and the married couple headed into Hogsmeade where they have lived for the last 15 years.

“You know this is the first time we have had our home completely to our selves since we have been married. Let’s go explore our quiet home.” Severus pulled his wife into their home. They were laughing when they fell into bed and started pulling at each others clothes.

“I love you Severus Snape, thank you for giving me such a wonderful life.”

“I love you too Hermione Snape, and thank you for giving me the family I always wanted.”
