Chapter 13
A/N: I realize that it has been a long while since I’ve updated this story, but I promise I have not abandoned this tale. It was my baby for three years I think its deserves more attention then being left to sit in cyber space. I wish I was more inclined to type often and faster. I wish my story that’s mostly smudged pencil would miraculously type itself…but it won’t….
Chapter 13
Hours later after Hermione left the staff room crying, the budding young women made her way up the spiraling staircase to the top of the astronomy tower. The tears had long since dried upon her cheek. She had thought about heading back to the Gryffindor common room but she was quite positive that she would find more peace and quiet away from the rambunctious teenagers.
Life was quickly spinning out of control and the need for both alone time and some one to talk to was an ever present factor these days. How was she supposed to deal with becoming a wife to the most hated teacher ever to present his nasty scowl among the many rooms of Hogwart’s.
A light breeze cooled the tears on her cheek as she stepped out into the blustery night air. A soft feminine laugh filled her ears. She turned her head slightly to the left and her stomach turned. Severus was more than a little close to a leggy blonde. His head was cast downwards looking at the ground a small smile etched across his face while the blonde had her head on his shoulder whispering something intimately to his ear.
A quick intake of air alerted the couple to her presence. The smile was quickly wiped from Severus’ face as he pushed past the blonde and took two steps in her direction.
Hermione held up her hand in attempt to get him to stop and to stay where he was, “Don’t…” She could barely get that one word out. She was feeling betrayed but that made no sense to the logical part of her brain. Their were just enemies again.
“Ms…Hermione its not what it looks like.”
She dropped the hand holding him off and stepped back as though she’d been struck for being disobedient. “Of course its not…” She whispered her voice cracked…she cleared her throat and spat out forcefully, “Professor…I expect then after the wedding you’ll keep your sordid affairs at a minimal and if that’s too hard, make sure they are acted out away from the eyes and ears of our associates. I’d rather not have to hear about them. I will not suffer the pity of others.” With that said she left in a run, back to the safety of her room.
“Bloody fucking hell!” Severus growled and slammed his fist into the stone wall next to the door. Another round of expletives erupted from him as he cradled his hand to his chest.
“Wedding?” The forgotten blonde asked, a perfectly shaped eyebrow raised.
He turned and scowled at the witch, “Don’t play innocent Fiona. My ‘brother’ sent you here for a reason. I should have realized that the moment to showed up. You haven’t changed much. Why don’t you go back and crawl into bed with Lucius I’m sure he’s missing his whore.”
She frowned, “Your still a bitter bastard, that poor girl’s going to be tied with a monster.”
He advanced on her his hand wrapped around her neck. “Don’t get jealous Fiona, I know it’s a bit upsetting that not every follower wants between your legs. I prefer being able to sip and dip between a women’s legs with out any thought to how many cocks have been there the hour before.” He backed away from her, “No get the hell off of school grounds.”
He let out a sigh of relief when she left.
