Chapter 13
Hermione watched Fudge step up, and she looked at him with narrow eyes.
\" Mr. Lucius Malfoy has challanged Professor Severus Snape to a wizards duel to contest his marriage to Mrs. Hermione Isis Snape. If Lucius dies his son takes over, if Severus dies Harry takes over. And the one that remains will win Mrs. Snape\'s hand.\" He motioned for the two wizards to come on the stage, they bowed and placed their wands in front of them like swords.
\" Finally I get a chance go get rid of you,\" he snapped. \" I hope you rot in hell.\"
\" You first.\" Severus snapped. Harry and Ginny both smiled at Severus and he moved the respected distance.
\" On my mark, one, two, three,\" yelled Fudge.
\" Expelliamus,\" yelled Severus. The bright red light came out and Lucius ducked. He said the same spell which caused rus rus to lose his wand. Lucius walked up to him and raised his wand and that\'s when the oddest thing happened. One moment Severus was clutching nothing and the next he was holding a long sword. He didn\'t understand any of this, but he used it. He wheeled around and pluged it deep inside Malfoy\'s chest. Lucius screamed and then he suddenly explouded.
\" What was that,\" yelled Harry. Fudge was dumbfounded. Then Draco screamed at the top of his lungs.
\" You murdered my father, I\'ll murder you.\" He pulled out his wand and suddenly there was a blast of light that came out of no where. Harry had deflected the spell that would of sent Severus to his grave back to the owner. Draco screamed as he to became nothing but dust.
Hermione ran over to both men and checked to see if they were alright. She smiled when she saw that they were fine.
\" What happened?\" Asked Professor McGonagall.
\" I think we may never know,\" replied Dumbledore, though Hermione could tell that this was exactly how he thought things would turn out.
Severus ended up spending two days in the hospital wing. Madam Pomfrey was beside herself with fury.
\" Wizard duels and death.\" She muttered. Hermione was glad that both men were okay and that she no longer had to worry about the Malfoy line. What happened she never thought she would ever see in her life, but it looked like the oddest thing in the world just saved another persons life. When he was released Hermione was waiting on him. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her.
\" I missed you,\" he muttered. \" I never thought that I would ever say that.\"
\" I missed you as well,\" she told him. \" I\'m so glad that you didn\'t die.\"
\" Me to.\" And they both disappeared down into the dungeons. Hermione decided to make a note to give Harry something nice for what he had done.
