Chapter 12 Lovers Part
Note: Ginny’s eye color has been changed to green. I see her that way. Although I personally have a thing for brown eyes, which Ginny’s happen to be in J.K.’s story, the green-eyed version I’ve never been able to get out of my mind. Please go along with me on this.
Chapter 12 Lovers Part
Harry and the old headmaster spoke a few minutes more, mostly about when, where and how the old professor would train him. Finally, Harry excused himself and hurried off to the Great Hall for the evening meal. Despite the elation he felt over being reunited with Sirius, Harry couldn’t help but feel his cart had been overturned. All his carefully laid plans with Ginny might never happen now, he thought, and that made him feel miserable.
When he arrived at the Great Hall, he sat down next to Ginny. She was in a near state of panic and full of questions. Harry whispered that he would tell her what he knew once they got back to the Gryffindor Common Room but not before. This made her even more upset and, after it was obvious neither had much of an appetite, Harry asked her to leave with him. Ginny didn’t need much urging.
Upon their return to Gryffindor, they found Ron waiting for them. He motioned them over to the long sofa in front of the fireplace. At the time, they were the only ones there but knew it wouldn’t be long before students would be returning from the evening meal.
“Where is Hermione, Harry?” Ginny asked, anxious over her missing friend.
“She’s gone, Ginny. She won’t be coming back to Hogwarts, as a student at any rate. You’ll be hearing, sometime soon, that she took a job at the Hall of Justice. Which is the truth! Dumbledore said she would be visiting here as soon as she gets the chance. It’s just that everything’s really busy right now,” Harry ardently explained.
“I don’t understand that Harry!” she cried out, seemingly angrier about not being told beforehand than being one of the last to find out. “Why would she want to start working somewhere before she finished her schooling? You know Hermione better than that! There’s something you’re not telling me, Harry!”
“No, Ginny, I promise. That’s exactly what happened. Professor Dumbledore told me it was a once in a lifetime opportunity for her. It seems like she was very qualified for the job. I really don’t know much myself. I can’t wait to talk to her,” Harry admitted.
“Ginny,” Ron interjected, in an unusually calm sort of way. “Harry and I are leaving Hogwarts, too. That’s all we can say right now. We won’t be seeing you regularly for a while. You’re not to worry. You understand? I will write to Mom and Dad and let them know everything is fine.”
The whole time Ginny listed to her brother looking somewhat stupefied. Her eyes swelled and watered up. “What? You can’t be serious! Where are you two going?” Ginny cried out. Tears began running down her face.
Harry reached out and pulled her to him, wrapping his arms around the redheaded little witch. “Don’t cry, Ginny. Honestly, everything’s going to be fine. Ron and I will be away from Hogwarts for a little while. That’s all. Everything will be fine,” Harry said, trying to soothe his young girlfriend.
“Please, Harry, don’t go! Please!” she cried, pushing him back enough to look up into his eyes.
“We have no choice, Ginny. We have to go,” Harry told her. His whole being felt her fretful uneasiness reverberating through him. He pulled her head to his chest and wrapped his arms around her again, kissing the mass of red hair atop her head.
“Harry!” Ron exclaimed. “We can’t wait any longer. If we do, we’ll have to wait until after everyone’s asleep.”
“You go ahead, Ron,” Harry told him. “I’ll come along later. I’m not leaving Ginny this way.”
“Okay then! I’m going to gather up a few things and I’m off! Bye, Ginny! I’ll see you soon!” he impatiently said, shaking his sister’s shoulder.
Ginny jumped out of Harry’s arms, grabbed her brother and wrapped her arms around him, kissing him on his cheek. “Be careful,” she said. “Wherever you two are going, be careful. And write me every chance you get. If you see Hermione, tell her to write or come see me soon, too.”
“I will. I promise,” Ron said, rubbing her one last time along her arm before turning and hurriedly running up to his bedroom.
Ginny turned again to Harry, leaned forward and kissed him. “Harry, I love you so much! I never wanted us to part this year. Why do you have to leave me?” she asked, with tears flowing unabated down her cheeks.
“It’s so hard to do Ginny. I love you more than I’ve ever loved anybody. You must believe me,” he begged her. Harry had never known such sorrow in all of his teenage years.
Ginny’s eyes again focused on his. “Oh, Harry. I want us to be together always. This is not a good beginning for us,” she said, trying to wipe away the flood of tears streaming constantly down her cheeks.
Harry, too, had to wipe at his eyes constantly. He was hurting so bad inside. It was so hard, so damn hard. “I was going to ask you to be my girlfriend tonight, Ginny. I wanted everybody to know. You mean the world to me, and I love you so much!” he said, pulling her once more to him and kissing her gently. Their mouths slowly slid aside and they remained, cheek to cheek, desperately hugging in a tight embrace. Harry knew in his heart that Ginny was and would forever be his soul mate. He sensed they shared a common destiny. She would forever be his and he would forever be hers.
Harry kissed her on her cheek and pushed her shoulders back. “I have something to give you. But first you must truthfully answer a question,” he told her.
“What question?” she asked, again wiping away tears and working hard to clear the liquid from her nose.
“For a long time I’ve felt something deep inside for you. I have a feeling, which I can’t explain, that you and I are meant to be together. Always together,” he told her. “Have you ever had a feeling like that for me?”
Ginny did not hesitate. She looked directly into his eyes and placed her hands on either side of his face. “Harry, the first time I saw you, remember I was only ten, I had the overwhelming feeling you and I would always be together. I’ve loved you and thought of no one else from that very moment so long ago. My love for you is stronger now than it’s ever been. Everything I do, Harry, I do for you and our future together,” she said, leaning into him and kissing him with all the passion the young girl had in her very being.
Harry again wrapped his arms around her and hugged the young girl to him. “I want to give you something,” he said. “But not here.”
He stood, grasped her hand and pulled her off of the sofa. “Wait here,” he said, “I’ll be right back.” He ran up to his footlocker and dug down until he found his invisibility cloak. Ron had finished putting everything he owned in his footlocker and grabbed his backpack off the bed.
“I’m off, Harry!” he said. “I’ll see you later.”
“Yeah, don’t worry about me. I’ll be along later,” he said to Ron, watching him until he ran back out of the room.
Harry quickly folded up the invisibility cloak, reeled it into a tight roll and left the room. He found Ginny still standing by the sofa and motioned her to join him by the door exiting the common room. She ran over to him. He rapidly shook the cloak out and pulled it over them. Once done, they quickly exited the room. Harry pulled her along, taking her up two floors to a level they had hardly ever had reason to be on. Harry stopped and gingerly opened a door leading into an old musty room, which presently appeared to be mostly used for storage.
They walked to the back corner where Harry reached up and turned a corner piece at the end of a mantel. The wall suddenly pushed away, and Harry pulled Ginny into a small bedroom. It was rather clean for being in such a dusty part of Hogwarts that was seldom ever used. Harry took out his wand and whispered an incantation and the room instantly lit in a soft glow. He again rolled up the cloak and sat it on top of a chest of drawers. He pulled Ginny to him again and they kissed passionately for some minutes.
Harry stepped back, releasing the girl from their embrace and reached into his pocket. He withdrew the small green jewelry box and opened it. Ginny’s eyes opened wide and lit up when she saw the beautiful emerald ring inside the box.
“Harry! It’s beautiful!” she screamed, covering her mouth.
“Don’t touch it yet, Ginny!” he warned.
“I showed it to Professor Dumbledore right before Ron and I came down and joined you for dinner,” he explained. “The ring was originally made by Nicolas Flamel for the young woman he took for his wife. He told me it’s a powerful ring. The stone, Dumbledore said, will repel most incantations that would do you harm, too. So, you see, I don’t want you to accept it unless you are as sure as I am that we are meant to be with one another. You understand?”
“Yes, Harry! I do!” she shouted out, looking from the ring up into his eyes again. “What more do you want me to say, Harry? I will say anything you want! I will do anything you tell me! Anything!”
“Tell me you will love me always, Ginny!”
“I truly will love you forever, Harry!” she cried out.
He took the ring out of the box, throwing the empty container on the bed. He held the ring out in such a way she could read the inscription. “Ginny, Love Always, Harry,” she read aloud. “Oh, Harry! It’s wonderful.” Ginny began crying again, bringing her hands up to her mouth. Her shoulders quaked uncontrollably. He once again reached out to bring his love to his chest. He held her tight for long minutes. They both cried with great emotion. He finally released the girl, and she wiped away the tears from her face. He took her left hand and lifted it. She spread her fingers for him, and he pushed the ring down on her finger.
The emerald sparked and glowed for some seconds, startling both of them. Ginny reached for it and felt the warmth it gave off. For whatever reason, she was compelled to bring it to her mouth and kiss the stone. Again it glowed brightly and she felt a great calm wash through her body. She wrapped her arms around Harry and kissed him again.
“Thank you, my love,” she said. “I will remember this day always.”
“Me, too,” he replied.
“Now, she said. It’s my time I gave you something. Something I’ve wanted to give you so long,” she said, smiling broadly.
Harry watched as Ginny removed her clothes. When she got down to just her knickers and bra, she looked back at him and smiled. “Aren’t you going to join me? Am I to be the only one to stand naked in this room?” she teased. “Take off your pants.”
Harry laughed at that. He quickly began taking his clothes off, as she stood watching, not yet having removed her last two articles of clothing. Harry pulled his pants and boxers down to his ankles in one fluid movement and quickly stepped out of them. His smallish member bounced around with his pounding heart and looked like it was very excited to be out in the open air.
Ginny sat down on the bed and reached out for him. He walked over, facing her, while her eyes watched his hard, pink appendage do its dance. “It’s beautiful, Harry. I’ve wondered what it looked like almost every day for years. Can I touch it?” she asked.
“Yeah, whatever you want,” he said, not believing how rock hard it felt to him. He was more excited than he had ever been.
Ginny reached out and gingerly wrapped her fingers around it, just below the head. Harry involuntarily jerked, but the young witch didn’t let go. “It’s so hard. But the skin is so soft,” she said, her eyes wide in amazement.
“You’ve never held one before, Ginny?” he asked.
“No, silly, never!” she cried out, looking up into his face, her mouth spreading into a wide grin.
Harry reached down, she took his hand and he lifted her back to her feet. He kissed her lightly on her cheek, as his left fingers lightly ran across the other.
“Ginny you are so beautiful. Your skin is so soft and smooth. I love feeling you like this,” he said. His statements as honest as any he had ever expressed in his entire life.
“I want you to feel me anytime you want. It’s just that I’m embarrassed. I haven’t done this before,” she replied just as honestly.
Harry didn’t reply. He leaned over and began kissing her again. They soon collapsed on the bed and shared their love for each other for the first time.
Long minutes passed before Harry rolled off of her. She then rolled onto her side and raised a hand to his chest.
“I love you, Harry,” she said. “I love you so much.” She then lowered her head to his chest and kissed her young man there.
Harry raised an arm and lowered his hand to her head. “I love you, Ginny. I will always love you.”
And thus they lay in their loving embrace as sleep came to them. Two lovers dressed only as they had been when they first arrived into the world, in nature’s finest. Two lovers - - - who had just taken their first steps into a grand, new adventure. Two lovers unaware of the storm gathering around them.
