After reading the entire fic, I can\'t decide if I liked it or not. Although the writing was \"above average\" compared to most fanfic, it still read like an action/adventure porn film. I love smut and if there\'s some plot in there to keep me captivated, all the better. When they got all stealthy and armed I kinda cringed on the inside. I just loved the idea so much of good witches and wizards being pro-active against evil, I had to keep reading, hoping that it would redeem itself and I guess I felt it never did. As I said, I love smut, but this idea could have been so much more if the story had developed without it being so prominent (I can\'t believe I said that!). I realize that this is not going to be found on bookstore shelves, it\'s a fic and the writer has provided all of us readers with a pretty good read. I may not have loved every sentance, but I still read the whole thing and I can\'t say I wasn\'t entertained. I look forward to trying another fic of yours!

I wish that i could of read the origanal one, also. but i was wondering why such a let-downy ending. I think that you should continue it for the years inbetween the prolouge and the ending. but i give you no flames. i give you props.

it seems to be writer bashing today. i just came from another story that is getting a few extremely critical comments. this is a forum to review the story you are reading, not attack the writer because you don\'t agree with their works. i\'ve reviewed this story a couple times and have stated that i don\'t much like how the women are portrayed or how much gun fire is in here. but that doesn\'t mean i\'m going to say the author should be killed. that\'s a bit out there. why would anyone say such a thing? it\'s a frigging story for crying out loud. stick to the material and leave the personal attacks out. dwmerrell, your stories are a bit extreme, gratuitous violence abounds in them, but they are exciting and thrilling. your use of grammar and spelling is good and the story flows well. i\'m looking forward to more of saving jennifer and am kind of wondering whatever happened to \'harry potter and the occidental ranger\'. i can understand your desire to fix up your story, but lets get your other stories back on track too. thanks for some interesting and fun reading.

This is fan fiction folks. The keyword here is \"fiction\". Writers of such works oftentime take liberties, drifting far from canon. We do this, of course, to tell our story, our way. We wouldn\'t read this stuff if all stories were exactly the same. The stories don\'t always come out the way we would wish them to. But it\'s our story, nonetheless.

For instance, in my particular story Professor Dumbledore is a very manipulative guy. He\'s doing this for the good of humanity - - - the way he sees it. Reduced to its simplest form, he wants to accomplish two things before his passing on into the next adventure: First, he wants to mitigate the danger growing around them, not only for the magical world but the non-magical world as well, and he is willing to do whatever it takes to get that done. Second, he wishes to see born the next incremental step, the next jump, in mankinds evolutionary journey. Along the way he makes decisions questioned by many, even you.

If you remember from the very beginning of the text, David Albus Potter asks himself \"why did it have to be done this way?\" - - - \"wasn\'t there another way?\". You see, young David Potter couldn\'t understand why the old Professor had taken such manipulative and dubious actions either. If you remember, Professor McGonagall and others were put out by the old headmaster\'s manipulations, too. He had gone too far.

The story brings out at least two things inherently characteristic to mankind: absolute power corrupts absolutely; and, what I believe to be right is right, no matter what you say.

Even though I don\'t always agree with the reviewers of my stories, I try to understand their point of view, seeing it from their eyes. Then again, there are those I can\'t or won\'t agree with. I do hope, though, for all who don\'t like my stories, you will find some that tickle your fansy. That\'s one of the great things about having great bunches of stories to choose from. Sooner or later we will find something that gets our blood pumping.

Thanks for your reviews.

this is a good story even if you did not have the smutt it would be a good story. you should write a version without the smutt and post it on other websites so that kids who like harry potter would be able tto read it.
