Chapter 12: Never Gonna Happen


“Jessie isn’t just someone who puts love potions in their drinks, and when someone gets in her way of her plan she gets rid of them once and for all,” Kelsey said.

The three boys stood there trying to figure out what to say next they were speechless. Harry had been right all along, “So what do we do to stop her?” Harry asked.

“The best way is to find some one that will take her mind off Mitch; do you know anyone that she’s getting close to here?” Mike asked

“Well there is Pansy but she’s helping Jessie plan everything,” Draco told them

“Wait, Draco why don’t you try to convince Pansy about Jessie then maybe she won’t be thinking about Mitch and Hermione anymore,” Ron said wondering if that might just work.

“That just might work Ron, okay so here’s what’s gonna happen I’m gonna try to convince Pansy to be with Jessie if one of you will try to convince Jessie to be with Pansy and then we’ll have them out of the way for Mitch and Hermione,” Draco told everyone and they all agreed. They continued to discuss their plan making sure everything was set.

Mitch looked at the girl sleeping next to her the movie was almost over once it was she was going to pick another movie so she could fall asleep to it. Mitch wanted to tell her everything about her past and everything about Jessie but she didn’t want to loose this girl this is the fastest she’s ever fallen for some one and it scared her. She sighed and got up gently making sure she didn’t wake her up she grabbed her shoes and walked out of her room. She sat down on the couch just as Draco and Kelsey walked in, “Hey mate where you off to?” Draco asked.

“I was actually on my way to find you Kelsey, I need to talk to you,” she said as she got up after tying her shoes, “If Hermione wakes and you tell that I’ll be by the lake?” She asked Draco and he nodded, then both Kelsey and Mitch said night to Draco and walked out of the dorm.

“So what’s up?” Kelsey asked as they walked down the corridor.

“I need a cig man you down?” she asked.

“Never thought you’d ask,” he said with a smile.

“You fucking chain smoker,” she said with a laugh.

Harry and Ron were sitting in their common room with Mike when he asked how did the two boys meet Hermione. They both smiled and Harry told him that in their first year on their train ride to Hogwarts she came into their compartment asking if they have seen a toad and she fixed Harry’s glasses. During the Halloween feast they saved her from a mountain troll and they’ve been friends ever since.

Mike just nodded and looked into the fire, thinking about the upcoming Ball. Then Ron asked how did he meet Jessie and he told him that all of them go to school together and Mitch and Jessie started off as best friends then it became something more until one day they were all hanging out and Jessie told them that her and Mitch were getting married.

Mike said that the look on Mitch’s face wasn’t pleasant and that she just left the room got into her car and just left. After about a day or two she broke it off with Jessie then she tried to get with everyone in the band. Mike then told them that after about a month Mitch found some one else and they were together for almost six months and planned on getting married after school and Mitch was going to be a performer and the girl was going to be a healer but that all changed when the girl was found dead with a gunshot wound that when straight through her heart. The girl’s name was Danielle she had pretty blonde hair and bright blue eyes, she was on her way to meet up with Mitch but some one forced her off the road and forced her out of her car. They knew who did it because Kelsey found Jessie leaving the scene with the gun.

Harry and Ron stared at Mike and he kept his eyes on the fire, “So you see Jessie will kill Hermione if we don’t act soon,” he told them as he stood up and walked up the stairs to where he was staying and closed the door behind them.


Mitch and Kelsey walked to the edge of the lake and Mitch pulled out her pack and a lighter offering a cigarette to Kelsey and he took it as she got herself one. She put the cigarette between her lips and then lit it up, and then passing the lighter to Kelsey who also lit up his cigarette, then gave the lighter back to Mitch who took it and put it in her pocket.

“So Hermione huh?” Kelsey said with a small smile taking a drag of his cigarette.

“Shut up man,” She said with a smile as she ashed her cigarette.

“She’s a cutie don’t get me wrong, and I know you’ve fallen for her,”

“Yeah I have but I’m just scared”

“About what?”

“I don’t want to loose her the same way I lost Danielle”


Hermione woke up and found herself in alone in Mitch’s room she got her wand from the night stand and with a wave of her wand she brightened up the room a bit the movie was far from over. She got up and stretched a bit and looked around she didn’t want to go to her room and get her night clothes instead she decide to find something of Mitch’s to wear to bed. It wouldn’t be the first time she wore her clothes to bed; she took a few steps over to the dresser and pulled open the second drawer looking for one of Mitch’s shirts. After a few minutes she found a picture, smiling she picked up and saw the guys that Mitch performed with earlier and Mitch with her arms around a pretty girl that had nice blonde hair a really pretty blue eyes. It was muggle photo she noticed and as also noticed that the girl and Mitch were holding each other close. She couldn’t help that this was one of the secrets that Mitch was keeping from her.

She turned around and walked out of the room with the picture in her hand wanting to know who the girl was. She walked over to Draco’s door and knocked until he answered.


Back at the lake Mitch and Kelsey just put out their cigarettes and were sitting down talking about the upcoming dances they were going to do at Hogwarts. Kelsey looked to his right to see a very heated Hermione and Draco running to catch up with her before he could warn Mitch Hermione was upon them. Mitch stood up along with Kelsey she knew she was in trouble by the look on her girlfriend’s face.

“Who is this?” Hermione asked as she showed the picture to Mitch who took and sighed.

“That’s Danielle,” she said softly as she gave the picture to Kelsey.

“And who is Danielle?” she asked crossing her arms.

“She was a girl I dated after Jessie,”

“And did you two break up as well,”

“It’s a long story, that I’m not ready to tell, all I can tell you is that if you think I would hurt you that's never gonna happen. I want to be with you and if you haven’t noticed I’m a one woman girl. You’re the one I want to be with and when I’m ready to tell you the truth about everything I will let you know,” she explained hoping that Hermione would drop it.

“I know and I want to be with you too but Riley, you’re gonna have to open up to me sooner or later, I don’t want to loose you. Just please open up to me even if it’s just a little all I ask is that you trust me enough to tell me about your past,” Hermione told her as she wrapped the other girl in her arms. Mitch wrapped her arms around her as well and sighed.

“I do trust you I just don’t like the person I was after I lost Danielle, I wasn’t me I wasn’t alive and I wasn’t breathing until I met you,” she told her truthfully.

The two girls stood there just holding each other while Kelsey and Draco smiled and turned to walk back to the castle.

“We need to stop Jessie and we need to stop her now,” Kelsey told Draco as they walked inside the castle.

“I know, I know, I have to work on Pansy first and I’ll see what she feels, from the rumors I can tell you that Pansy fancies Jessie a great deal, but is to scared to tell her but all Jessie talks about is Mitch this Riley that,” Draco explained.

“I figured as much Jessie, they never should’ve released her from that place,” Kelsey said as he shook his head.

“What do you mean? Where did she get released from?” Draco asked


Mitch pulled away slightly and kissed Hermione softly, she wanted to tell her everything about Danielle about Jessie about her past everything but she just wasn’t ready.

They kissed for a few more moments until Hermione suggested they go back inside. Mitch told and wrapped her arm around Hermione’s shoulders and she wrapped her arm around Mitch’s waist. Smiling they both walked back to their dorm in a comfortable silence, and just enjoying each other’s company.

They were just about to walk up to their dorm when they heard voices one of them sounded just like Jessie’s. Hermione and pulled Mitch out of the corridor and they found a small hiding spot. Just then Jessie and Pansy came into view.

“She wasn’t there so I couldn’t do it,” Jessie told the other girl.

“Don’t worry you’ll get you’re chance and when you do I’ll be right there so did you set the date?” Pansy asked.

Jessie nodded, “Yes I did the day we graduate is the day I become Mrs. Riley Michelle Dumbledore,” Both of the girls giggled and before Mitch could say some thing Hermione was out of her sight.

“Hello girls and where are we off to this evening?” Hermione asked as the two girls turned around.

“That’s none of you’re business mudblood,” Pansy said and before Hermione could say anything Mitch came out of their hiding spot, “Why there you are, I’ve been looking all over for you,” She said as she came up to Hermione and wrapped her arm around her.

“Honey you know I had to patrol tonight,” she said as she gave Mitch a kiss on the cheek.

“Yeah I know but I wanted to see what you actually do on patrol,” Mitch said with a smile.

“Well these two here are out after hours and I have no choice but to take away ten points each from their house,” she explained.

“Ah… I see so you’re pretty much the hall monitor person”

Hermione nodded with a smile, “Okay girls I think you should get back to your dorms,”

“Hey Mitch is out after hours too why doesn’t she have points taken away,” Pansy said folding her arms across her chest.

“Well see, I’m not in a house, so, what’s the point of taking points away if I don’t have any,” Mitch explained.

Both Jessie and Pansy looked at the both of them and stared. They didn’t understand why Mitch wasn’t put in a house but Jessie was. Once again Hermione told the two girls to go back to their dorms as they started walking Jessie heard Mitch tell Hermione that she would never marry Jessie and that it was never gonna happen. All Jessie could do was smirk and tomorrow she would slip the potion into Mitch’s drink and they will live happily ever after.

Draco wanted to know what Kelsey meant as the two boys stood there in the middle of the corridor. Kelsey knew he said too much already and he didn’t know what to say.

“Kelsey if Jessie is crazy enough to kill some one I need to know what happened to that girl in the picture. Did Jessie kill that girl in the picture?” Draco asked

Kelsey was quite for a moment then nodded his head and said, “I saw her…I didn't she her do it but I saw her. It’s still fresh in all of our minds especially Mike’s,” he said.

“Why did that girl and Mike have a thing or something?”

“No that girl that Jessie killed is Mike’s sister,” Kelsey told him.
