Chapter 11
Tom and Harry arrived home with their new dog. Harry bounded to their room to put the packages away, Brownie following behind him. Harry opened the drawer with all their other toys.
‘What the hell has that man been teaching my godson?’ Sirius thought as he saw the many toys.
“Come on Brownie, let’s go get dinner. I’m starving!” Harry said as he bolted for the dining room.
‘That kid has waaay to much energy.’ Sirius thought before he quickly left to follow his godson. Sirius glanced at the many portraits on the wall. All of the portraits were of malicious looking people. And was that Salazar Slytherin? Who’s house was this anyway? Was this where Harry’s guardians live, or was this Tom’s house?
Harry pulled up a chair and began eating with Tom. Sirius looked up. ‘And what am I supposed to eat?’ Sirius looking between the two. Tom noticed him first.
“Your dog needs food.” Tom said with a roll of his eyes.
“Oh sorry, Brownie. I forgot. Just bark if you need anything.” Harry said as he put a hunk of meatloaf on a plate and put some down for Brownie.
They ate quietly all deep in thought, then retired to their room for the night. Tom kissed Harry on the forehead before leaving the room to take a shower. Harry sat on the bed for a few moments before walking towards the dresser and grabbed the wand lying there. He then turned to look at Brownie.
“I have a wand. I’m a real wizard now, Brownie. This has just been the most perfect day.” Harry said thoughtfully. He then smiled as he flicked his wand and said, “Accio handcuffs.” The cuffs flew straight into his hands. “Will you be coming with me?” Tom asked.
“Sure, it will keep you from having to repeat the information to me later.” Harry said as he threw on the robe.
Neither had noticed how Brownie seemed to hang on their every word. ‘What are Snape and Malfoy doing here? And, oh god, please tell me they didn’t call him my Lord. It can’t be him. It just can’t be.’ Sirius thought as he followed the two to the study.
