Chapter Twelve

When Ginny awoke in the morning,Ruby was gone.She didn't leave a note,which indicated that she was still mad about the night before.

Ginny felt terrible,guilt weighing down her conscience.She had never turned down Ruby before in all the years that the two had been together.She'd never wanted to either.But now,she felt dirty at the other girl's touch.She felt it was wrong.She just didn't feel the same way about her.

After she had fled from the Wizarding World,Ginny had vowed to never be with another man.Harry had been her true love,she was sure of it.She just hadn't felt right betraying him.Then Draco showed up,and she forgot all about Harry.

Ruby had always been there for her,from the very day she began to waitress at Sugar Dolls.She had been her first friend in the Muggle World.She hadn't cared that Ginny had been strange and didn't know how to drive or use a phone or a computer.She'd taught Ginny the ropes about waitressing and which drinks were named what.She'd trained her on how to work with the burlesque show.She'd been nothing but nice to her,and now Ginny had betrayed her trust in the worst kind of way.

Ginny knew she had to break it off with Draco,but she just couldn't.He had a hold on her as no one had ever before.He made her feel good when she was with him,sometimes by just simply looking at her as he did.He had changed since Hogwarts,he wasn't the foul Death Eater he had been.He acted different,he walked different,his face held more kindness then she'd ever seen.She didn't know what happened to him after he'd become a Death Eater at sixteen,but something had changed him.She knew she couldn't just drop him and forget about him.

She didn't know what to do.She couldn't break Ruby's heart and leave her,not after all they'd been through and how nice she'd always been.But she couldn't keep sneaking around like this.

Ginny felt the tears begin to flow down her pale cheeks as the realization of the predicament she was in hit her,full force.She couldn't erase all the things she'd done.Either way,someone was going to get hurt,whatever she did.

She sat there and just simply cried,cried for everything she'd done wrong in her life,cried for what she'd gotten herself into,and cried because she missed her simple life back with her family.It seemed like hours had passed when she was pulled out of her self pity by the phone ringing beside her.She stared at it for a while,not sure whether she wanted to answer it.The answering machine picked it up just as she answered.

"Hello?" She asked,turning off the machine and hoping they couldn't tell she was crying.

"Hey,Ginny,it's Draco," Came the voice from the other end.Ginny felt her stomache do a little flip-flop. "You alright?"

"Uh,yeah,I'm fine," She answered,wiping her eyes as if he could see. "Any reason why you called?"

"Yeah,actually,Lucifer's not gonna be home until later on tonight and I was wondering if you'd want to do something until then." He asked.

"I don't know,Draco,I've got a lot to do today." Ginny told him remembering she wanted to order that potion.

"Come on,Gin,what could you possibly be doing that would be better then spending time with me?" He asked,making her roll her eyes.Okay,maybe he hadn't completely changed.

"Someone's a little cocky." She noted,slightly cheering up.It seemed she could never stay upset for very long when she talked to him.

"Not cocky,I'm a Malfoy,we're never cocky.Just confident," He explained and she just knew he was smirking too.She laughed. "Come on,you know you want to be with me." She bit her lip,thinking.She could use a little cheering up,and it's not like Ruby would be coming back any time soon.

"Umm..." She said,thinking. "What would we be doing?"

"What would you want to do?" Draco shot back at her.

"There's a million things I want to do." Ginny replied.

"Well,pick one,we can do anything that you want to do." Draco told her.She smiled,this was just what she needed to cheer herself up.

"What would you like to do?" She asked,challenging him.They barely ever seemed to talk about him or what he wanted to do.

"What I would like to do would involve you spending the night." Draco said.

"Oh you are bad,Mr.Malfoy." Ginny giggled,of course what he wanted to do would involve that.Although she probably wouldn't mind doing something along that nature.

"It's not what you're thinking you dirty minded girl." Draco laughed along with her.

"Then do tell me why you would want me to spend the night with you." Ginny asked.

"You'll see,but are you up to staying the night? Or will your girlfriend get mad?" He asked,bringing Ginny back to why she'd been crying.

"No,she wouldn't mind.I don't think she'll be home tonight or anything,we kind of got into a little fight."

"Is everything alright?" He asked,sounding concerned.Ginny found it funny that her lover on the side was worried about a fight between her and her girlfriend.

"Yeah,it'll blow over soon,you know,whatever," She told him pretending to not care.Deep down,she really didn't,it was more about security then anything else. "But back to me spending the night."

"Yes,well,I have to go over to Malfoy Manor to pick Lucifer up from my mother,but other than that we can have the day to ourselves." He told her.

"Okay,well,how about I come over after you pick up Lucifer?" Ginny asked,remembering she still had something else to do that day.

"Or how about we come pick you up? Say around three o'clock?" Draco asked.Ginny glanced at the clock,that meant she still had three hours for other things.

"It's a date." She replied,feeling much better.She then hung up the phone.Now she had to figure out how she was going to order one of those pregnancy potions.

Ginny walked into her room,searching for something.She unlocked the drawer which her wand was in and used it as light to search under her bed.She found what she was looking for.

She pulled the magazine out from deep under the bed.She smiled at how good her deception charm had been on it.Currently,it looked like one of those muggle magazines she used to read.Ginny tapped the cover with her wand.It began to transform in a witch's magazine she had got the year she'd left her own world.

Ginny quickly flipped through the magazine,having memorized it long ago.At the back there was an add for ordering a pregnancy potion.Luckily you didn't need an owl,you just tapped the page,saying the incantation.The money would be paid to the owl which delivered it.It would take about an hour to recieve the potion,but she had time to spare.

To kill time,Ginny paced around the living room.She was anxious to get this over with.She needed to know so she could go get that thing done that would make it go away if she was indeed pregnant.

She knew Ruby wouldn't be home any time soon,so she didn't have to worry about her coming home.It still troubled her that she'd made Ruby so upset.The longest fight they'd ever had last maybe two hours.And she definately never just up and left without at least leaving a note.Luckily,Sugar Dolls would reopen this weekend after the renivations were done,so she'd see her at the meeting that day.Maybe then she could talk to her,maybe explain somehow.

But that was the problem,how could Ginny explain something like this? How could she tell her girlfriend of nearly three years that not only was she cheating on her,but that she was completely disgusted by the thought of touching her and didn't even think she was a lesbian anymore? It would completely crush her.

Ginny tried to occupy herself to keep her mind off Ruby.She made herself some breakfast,most of it being left uneaten.She just wasn't hungry.How could she be? She wandered into her room and rumaged around her drawers when she came to a box she hadn't seen for nearly a year.

The box had a small lock on top of it,not bothering to search for the key she just grabbed her wand and opened it with magic.Inside the box were letters from her family and pictures of them.She hadn't had any contact with them for over a year,out of fear that she would be found.She had distanced herself from her true world,becoming more alien to her old ways.

Ginny pulled out the picture on top.It was from Christmas two years ago.Her whole family had gotten together (minus Percy),along with Harry and Hermione.They had all taken a picture to send to her so she wouldn't forget them.The small figures waved and smiled at her happily.She laughed as she noticed Fred and George slipping something into a drink Ron was holding.

She missed her family so much.She wanted to return back home,but she was scared.She didn't want her family to know what she'd become.How she flaunted her body for rich old men and drunks,or how her boss touched her with his sweaty hands,or even how for the last three years she'd been living with another girl.She felt tears well up in her eyes.She wished she could return,but she just couldn't bring herself to do it,not to just disapoint them all.She wanted them to remember her as the innocent little girl she had once been,not the terrible person she now was.

Suddenly,Ginny heard a soft tap at the bedroom window.She looked over to see a beautiful barn owl with a small pakage attatched to it's talons.She opened the window and let the bird fly on her arm and then led it into the kitchen where it could eat her untouched breakfast.The owl cooed softly as it held out it's leg so she could receive the pakage.It then went over to eat the food.

Ginny opened the small box.Inside was a vial of thick purple liquid along with the instructions.She set the two things aside and went to retrieve some money.

"All I have is muggle money." She told the owl when she returned.The owl hooted quietly,which she took as it being okay.She put the money in the owl's pouch then watched it fly out the open window in the kitchen.Ginny then grabbed the vial and instructions and read them over.

The intructions told her that you were to orally ingest the potion.After about a minute,it would detect whether or not you had the pregnancy hormone.Your hand would become warm,and then it would change colour,violet if you were pregnant,blue if you were not.It was 100% accurate and could detect a pregnancy within an hour of conception,so there was absolutely no chance of a false result.Ginny took the cap off the vial and smelt the liquid which was lavendar sented.The scent made her feel dizy.

"Well,here goes." Ginny told herself.She closed her eyes tight then downed the whole potion in one gulp.She kept her eyes shut and waited until she felt her hand warm.She took a deep breath and slowly opened her eyes...

Finally,this chapter is finished.I've been writing this for like three weeks.I had finished it,and then AFF kicked me off and I lost the whole thing.No matter,I changed the chapter completely anywayss and I like this one better.Hopefully it's long enough,I wanted to make it very long so you wouldn't hate me so much for the long wait.Anywayss,thnxx goes out to:
