Chapter 12

Unforeseen Circumstances

Chapter 12

“Draacoo!” screamed Severus, thrusting once more into the blonde below him. “I love you so much.”

“I love you too, Sev,” panted Draco, coming down slowly from his euphoric high. “You think Harry and Father are still out there?”

“Knowing Harry, when he realized we forgot the silencing charms yet again, he bolted,” said Severus, smirking as Draco burst out laughing.

*****

“I swear he does that on purpose,” growled Harry, dragging Lucius back to their room. “He could just tell us to leave. It’s not like he’s the most subtle person when it comes to getting his point across.”

Lucius just smiled at Harry’s indignation and pushed him quickly into an alcove lining the corridor.

“Lucius, wha-“ said Harry before Lucius smothered his lips in a kiss. The kiss quickly deepened as tongues stroked together, dueling for dominance with Harry surrendering the fight. Breaking the kiss slowly, Harry managed to gasp out, “We are still in the corridor. Our room isn’t that far away.”

“Too far away for me,” muttered Lucius, capturing Harry’s lips in another deep, passionate kiss. He stroked his hands up Harry’s sides, pulling the shirt up as he did, and lingered at the nipple he’d just stroked. Lightly pinching the little nub, Lucius trailed soft, wet kisses down Harry’s neck.

“L-Lucius,” stuttered Harry, shivering at the jolt of pleasure he felt at Lucius’ actions. He buried his hands in Lucius’ hair and arched into the blonde’s body.

“Ahem.” The sound of someone clearing his throat caught Lucius’ attention. Harry was so engrossed in the sensations Lucius had created, he didn’t realize someone had intruded on their pleasure.

Lucius turned his head and saw Dumbledore standing behind them. He groaned silently, pulled Harry’s hands from his hair, and turned around fully, shielding Harry with his body. “May I help you, Albus?”

“I was just on my way to see you. Just my luck to find you here,” said Albus, smiling benignly in the face of Lucius’ scowl.

“And just what do you want?” growled Lucius.

“I came to inform Harry that I have written the required spell. Now we just have to pick the seven wizards to perform the spell,” said Albus.

“You’ve written the spell?” asked Harry excitedly. “That’s great!”

Harry pushed his way past Lucius, ignoring the blonde’s irritable growl, and walked to Dumbledore’s side. “Where is it? Can I see it?”

Dumbledore just smiled and pulled a piece of parchment from his pocket. He handed the parchment to Harry, who immediately read the written words avidly, and waited patiently.

“This is brilliant! Now we just have lay our trap and go from there,” said Harry enthusiastically, bouncing in his excitement.

“Let me see that,” said Lucius, snatching the parchment out of Harry’s hands. He quickly scanned the contents and nodded in approval. “When are we going to do this and who have you chosen to recite the spell?”

“I know! I know!” said Harry eagerly. “Dumbledore, McGonagall, Flitwick, you, dad, and me for sure. Could we get Remus to be our seventh?”

“I think that would be perfectly acceptable, Harry. I’ll send word to Remus tonight, and we’ll go over our plan when he arrives,” said Dumbledore calmly. “Good day, gentlemen.” He continued down the corridor and disappeared around the corner.

Harry turned to Lucius, “You do realize we have to work the DA just a little bit harder now that the plan is more stable, right?”

“Severus and I will do everything we can to make sure the DA is fully prepared,” said Lucius solemnly.

“Good. Soon it will all be over one way or the other,” said Harry gravely.

“Good afternoon, Remus. I’m glad you could get here so quickly,” said Albus, standing to greet the werewolf as he entered the office.

“Good afternoon, Albus. What is it you need. The missive sounded urgent,” said Remus, sitting in the chair directly in front of the desk.

“Harry and I have devised a plan to destroy Voldemort for good. The spell I have written requires the magic of seven strong wizards, and I would like you to be one of the seven,” said Albus.

“Who else will be participating in the spell?” asked Remus curiously.

“Harry and me, of course, as well as Severus, Minerva, Filius, and Lucius,” said Albus benignly.

“Lucius Malfoy?!” yelled Remus, standing up in his surprise. “But he’s a Death Eater.”

“No, actually he was a spy for the light, and now he is Harry’s husband,” said Albus, eyes twinkling.

“What?! Harry’s married to Lucius Malfoy? When did this happen?” cried Remus. He couldn’t believe what he was hearing. “And you let this happen?”

“Maybe I should call them up here, and you can here Harry’s explanation from him personally,” said Albus soothingly, hiding a smile as Remus nodded emphatically. He walked to the fireplace and tossed some floo powder into the flames. “Harry and Lucius’ room.”

Harry was talking quietly to Lucius while sitting contentedly in the blonde’s lap. He heard the headmaster call out his name and glanced towards the fireplace. “Hello, professor. May I help you?”

“Harry, can you and Lucius please come up to my office? Remus is here and would like to talk to you,” said Albus. “The password is ‘Blood Pop.’”

“Sure. We’ll be up there in a few minutes,” said Harry, sliding reluctantly from Lucius’ lap. As soon as the headmaster’s head disappeared from the flames, Harry turned towards Lucius with a worried frown on his face. “I have a feeling this meeting is not going to go very well.”

“It will be fine, Harry,” said Lucius soothingly. “Just remember that I will be there with you, and I won’t let him hurt you in any way. And yes that does include verbal abuse.”

“I really do love you, Lucius,” said Harry, smiling up at his blonde husband.

“I really do love you too, Harry,” said Lucius with a soft smile aimed towards the brunette. “Now let’s go face that wolf of yours.”

*****

“Harry, thank goodness you’re all right,” said Remus, pulling the startled brunette into a tight hug.

“Well, yeah. Why wouldn’t I be?” asked Harry, pushing out of the werewolf’s arms and staring at Remus in confusion.

“Albus just told me you married Lucius Malfoy of all people. How did that happen? Did he force you?” asked Remus frantically.

“Why you insolent-“ said Lucius, starting in Remus’ direction.

“Remus,” said Harry, interrupting Lucius’ rant, “Lucius did not force me to marry him. If Professor Dumbledore told you I married Lucius, then he also told you that Lucius was a spy for our side, right?”

“But he’s still Lucius Malfoy,” said Remus. “Just because he chose our side doesn’t mean he’s not still a sadistic bastard.”

Before Lucius could start ranting again, Harry walked over to the irate blonde and snuggled into his side, clearly showing his support. “Remus, I love Lucius, and he loves me as well.” Remus opened his mouth to dispute that statement, but Harry just raised his hand to stop the argument. “You do realize that as a stubborn Gryffindor, you could argue about this until you’re blue in the face, and it still won’t change the basic fact. I am not just married to Lucius. We are bonded in a soul, life, magic, heart, and mind bond. You of all people should know that some of those bonds absolutely can not be forced.”

“A soul, life, heart, magic, and mind bond?” asked Remus incredulously. Harry just pushed up Lucius’ left sleeve and then his own, showing their cobra and griffin tattoos. Remus grabbed Lucius’ arm, gripping tight as Lucius tried to pull his arm free. “This replaced your dark mark?” he asked Lucius.

“Yes,” said Lucius, finally managing to free his arm from Remus’ tight grip.

“Well, actually, we think part of the change was caused by the purification ritual we performed,” said Harry.

“What kind of purification ritual?” asked Remus suspiciously. He didn’t know of any purification rituals strong enough to break a dark spell like the Morsmordre.

“That doesn’t matter right now, Remus. Harry, did you bring the doll with you?” asked Albus.

“No, I didn’t. Would you like for me to go get it? I left it in dad’s room because his quarters are more heavily warded than mine and Lucius’,” said Harry.

“Dad?” asked Remus, once again confused.

“No, I’ll just firecall Severus and have him bring it up here,” said Albus, ignoring Remus’ questions.

“Severus?” asked Remus. He turned to glare at Harry. “Did I just hear you call Severus Snape, a man you have hated since first year, dad?”

“Yes. Sev has become a father to me over the last two years,” said Harry quietly. He smiled when Lucius snorted and muttered, “Daddy Severus is worse than I am about being an overprotective father.”

“I think I need to sit down. I have obviously missed a lot over the last two years,” said Remus dazedly. “Can you at least tell me how you and Lucius ended up together?”

“Well, I had a vision that Voldemort discovered Lucius’ role as a spy, and Lucius was tortured as a result. I apparated to the forest where they left his half-dead body and apparated us back to Hogwarts. I stayed in Sev’s quarters during the rest of the holidays, and Lucius ended up staying there with us,” explained Harry.

“You stayed with Severus and Lucius during the holidays? Alone?” asked Remus.

“Yes, Remus. I don’t know why you are getting so upset about this. After all, I am now considered an adult, and I am fully capable of making coherent decisions on my own,” said Harry.

“I just worry about you, Harry. You know I consider you my surrogate godson, right?” asked Remus quietly. At Harry’s immediate nod, Remus continued. “I’m just confused about how Severus became a father to you.”

“No offense, Remus, but you haven’t really been here for the last two years. Sev has not only been a constant presence in my life, but he’s also been honest- even when it wasn’t wanted- and considering the sheer amount of people who constantly try to manipulate me, that was a definite bonus,” said Harry. “He’s protected me over the years, and over the last two years, he’s opened his heart and home to me.”

“Harry, if you are truly happy, then I won’t interfere. I can’t say that I’m exactly thrilled with the current situation, but I will accept it,” said Remus quietly. He turned to Lucius. “Just know that if you ever hurt Harry, I will rip you to shreds.” He was a little startled to hear Lucius snicker before laughing outright. He was even more startled when Harry joined in the laughter.

“You’re going to have to call him Daddy Remus. I swear he used almost the same exact words as Severus did,” said Lucius between snickers.

“Really?” asked Harry. “I guess that means you’ll have to be more careful about careless comments that hurt my feelings, right?”

“Do I really have to apologize for that again? Severus already punched me for that misunderstanding,” said Lucius in exasperation.

“No you don’t have to apologize again, and you deserved that punch. But fortunately for you, you came to your senses rather quickly,” said Harry, smirking in Lucius direction. “I still love you, though.”

“That’s good because you’re stuck with me for the rest of your life,” said Lucius wryly.

Before anyone else could say anything, the door opened and Severus walked into the room. “Hey, dad. I take it Professor Dumbledore asked you to bring my doll up here?” asked Harry brightly.

Severus paused momentarily when he saw Remus sitting in the office, but smirked when he heard Harry continue to refer to him as ‘dad.’ He, of course, would never admit that he had been a little afraid that Harry would abandon his place as his son when Remus returned. Hearing the obvious affection in Harry’s voice, Severus relaxed as he realized that the brat really did regard him as a father.

“Yes, I have it here,” he said, holding the battered doll up. “Did I interrupt anything?”

“Not really, just Daddy Remus threatening me with bodily harm if anything bad happens to our beloved Harry,” said Lucius dryly, smirking at Severus’ scowl in Remus’ direction at the ‘Daddy Remus’ remark.

“It’s good to be loved,” said Harry happily. “Dad, where’s Draco?”

“He’s in the library. He said he needed to research something,” said Severus, sitting in the chair beside Remus, leaving Harry and Lucius standing and only one chair. He smirked when Harry and Lucius looked at the chair, and then at each other, before Lucius sat in the chair and pulled Harry into his lap.

“Oh good, you’re here,” said Albus, walking back into the room. “Do you have the doll?”

Severus just tossed the doll to the headmaster, hiding a smile as Albus almost missed the doll. Albus managed to snag the doll from the air by grabbing one of the arms, causing the arm to rip slightly. This, of course, caused Voldemort to clutch his arm as pain ripped through his shoulder.

“Severus, be careful. This is an important component to our spell,” said Albus seriously. “Now, Remus as I said before, I asked you here to participate in a spell that I have written. The purpose of this spell is to bind Voldemort’s soul to this doll and send the doll to an alternate dimension, thus enabling us to destroy Voldemort for good. The reason we are using the doll is because it has a direct connection to Voldemort and eases the transition of removing his soul from his current body and tying it to the doll. Now we just have to lay a trap to get Voldemort to attack.”

“Do we have any ideas on how to get him to attack?” asked Remus curiously.

“How about we tell everyone I’m pregnant. That way he’ll think I’m an easy target,” asked Harry brightly. “I read that natural male pregnancies were really rare, but we could always say that I accidentally took a fertility potion or something.”

“No, Harry. I don’t think that would work. He would expect more security surrounding you in that event,” said Severus. “Besides, knowing you’re luck, even if you were pregnant, I doubt very seriously that you would be an easy target. In your case, you would probably be able to tap into the babies innate magic and use it as your own.” He suddenly turned towards Harry as another thought came to him. “You’re not trying to tell me anything, are you?”

“What? No! No, Sev, I’m not pregnant. At least I don’t think I am,” said Harry, rushing to reassure the Potion’s Master. “It was just a suggestion,” he muttered.

“I suggest we start a rumour that Harry will be leaving the castle over the Easter holidays, maybe to go to Hogsmeade for a date with his husband?” asked Albus.

“But the Easter holidays are just two weeks away,” said Severus. “Will we really be ready for him by then?”

“You and Lucius have been training the DA for months now, and I believe they are fully capable of holding off the Death Eaters while we perform this spell. All you need to do is stage an argument in front of people about the supposed date and we’ll go from there,” said Albus reassuringly. “Are there any other concerns? No? Then I suggest we call it a day, and set our plan into motion in the morning. Good day, gentlemen.”

As soon as the door shut behind them, Albus sat back down at his desk. “This is the beginning of the end, Tom,” he said, talking to the Voldemort doll. “It will all be over soon.” He put the doll in his desk drawer and grabbed a lemon drop.
