Loves Young Dream
Hey All welcome to my first ever Fan Fiction, most of the characters are not mine no matter how much I would love them to be. The only character that is mine is Aphrodite Taylor, she is mine all mine, he he. Hope you enjoy.
When Severus and Minerva reached the hospital wing they saw Aphrodite staring into space, Poppy walked over to them, she and Minerva pushed Severus over to her, he looked at them helplessly, but they ushered him forward. He stood behind Aphrodite, put his hand on her shoulder, she flinched and turned round to face him. He put his hand under her chin and lifted her face into the light, she looked in his eyes and started to weep. He pulled her close and held her tightly trying to assure her everything would be ok. Dion saw what was going on and felt swept aside by her, he was her boyfriend, she was his little angel, so why did she push him away and turn to Severus? He\'d never felt jealousy before, he didn\'t like the feeling of it, it took over him and made him angry inside, he wanted to rage at someone, he didn\'t know who though, should he go crazy at Severus fir trying to steal his girl or go crazy at Aphrodite for allowing him to do so? So many emotions inside him he couldn\'t control them.
Aphrodite felt comfort in Severus\'s arms and began to wonder if she had made the right choice in choosing Dion over him, she seemed to fit against Severus\'s body much better then she did with Dion, Poppy decided it was time to send Aphrodite to bed to get some sleep. She was reluctant to go to bed, she\'d much rather stay in the safety of Severus\'s arms.
\"Aphrodite, you need sleep, I wont be far away, if you need me you only need to call for me\" said Severus as he carried her away from the window and into her bed, he sat by her side until she fell asleep. She looked so at rest in her sleep, it was hard to imagine anyone ever wanting to hurt such an innocent person. When she finally drifted away Severus got up and started to move towards the other end of the room, he walked past Dion who was in the middle of the room sitting on an old chair. As he walked past he felt someone grab him.
\"Severus, we need to talk\" He snarled.
\"Unhand me you fool\" Severus replied in a sort of mocking tone.
\"Not until you tell me that you\'ll stop trying to hit on my girl!!\" Dion was clearly annoyed, Severus gave off a small laugh and tried to tell Dion that he had no intention of taking his girl away from him, but Dion wasn\'t taken in by this and immediately grabbed his wand and held it up to Severus\'s face.
\"And what are you going to do now, pray tell Dion\" Asked Severus in a bored tone, he didn\'t mock Dion because he wasn\'t joking, he was deadly serious about the taking his girl thing. Dion smiled a wicked smile and withdrew his wand, he then turned round and made to walk off, only to turn around and grab Severus by the neck. This wasn\'t painful for Severus, he had suffered much worse from Voldermort, so he laughed at Dion\'s attempt, Dion clearly angered by this lashed out and punched him in the face. He was going for a second hit but Aphrodite was in-between the pair of them.
\"Aphrodite? You should be asleep, what are you doing?\" Dion asked her, he sounded nervous and he was shaking.
\"Its a bit hard with you two making the worlds greatest racket!\" she growled, she turned round to see Severus and saw his nose poring with blood, she put her hand on his face, telling him to cock his head back to stop the bleeding until Poppy came back. She then turned back round to face Dion, she glared at him.
\"You touch him ever again and it\'s OVER between us!! You understand?!?!\" she was shouting and both of the men stood in silence, Dion just nodded, then walked over to the far side of the room, the same end in which her bed was placed. Aphrodite turned round to help Severus, she sat him down on a bed near him and then went to fetch Poppy, Poppy was annoyed at being fetched in the middle of the night but when she saw Severus she didn\'t mind as she could guess what the argument had been about. Meanwhile Aphrodite had gone over to Dion to have words with him.
\"Why did you do it? Why couldn\'t you just leave him, he\'s my friend you should accept that!\" she said in a bitter tone.
\"He\'s trying to take you off me!\" he replied scathingly
\"Don\'t be ridiculous! we\'re friends, nothing more, he\'s not some kind of love rat, your being foolish\" she snapped
\"Did you mean what you said? You know about if I touched him again it would be over?\" he asked quietly
\"Yes, I bloody well did\" she said shortly.
\"Well, then....Marry me?\" he said loudly so Poppy and Severus could hear, they both looked up at the couple, Poppy said it was romantic, Severus however did not comment, he sat in total silence.
\"I..eh?..but..umm..you what?\" Aphrodite was stuttering, she looked over at Severus who was now looking in the different direction.
\"Marry me\" he said again, Aphrodite nodded, she accepted his proposal, they kissed and she went back to her bed, laying there she was thinking about her future with Dion, \'Aphrodite Grant\' she giggled as she thought about what her married name will be. Five minutes later she was sound asleep.
Next morning down in the great hall Aphrodite was a bit later then everyone else in arriving for breakfast, it seemed everyone knew about hers and Dion\'s good news, as she sat down in her seat between Severus and Dion, Minerva, Rolanda, Remus and Sirius had all come over to express there congratulations to the happy couple.
\"Aww my little Sugar Plums getting hitched, she wont be my Sugar Plum no mores, I imagine many a men will be devastated at loosing such a pretty lady to Dion\" As he said that he shot a look at Severus who hadn\'t noticed as he was too busy getting up to leave, he had heard enough about the engagement. As he started to leave Minerva put her hand on his arm and stopped him.
\"You ok Severus?\" She asked, trying not to smile so much.
\"Been better\" He tried not to look to hurt, Minerva hugged him.
\"I know how much you liked her, im so sorry\" She said as she let go of him.
\"Doesn\'t matter, I knew I didn\'t stand a chance, why would a pretty young woman such as Aphrodite ever fall for an ageing ugly man such as myself, I\'ll leave things like this to Aphrodite and Dion - Loves young dream\" Before Minerva could comment he had swept out the hall.
Weeks past by, it was heading towards yet another ball, the Valentine\'s Ball, Severus\'s mood got worse through out the weeks and to make his mood worse he was informed by Albus that he was to go on look out duty on the night of the ball to catch any students who took it upon themselves to explore one another. He was snapping at every student who was caught in the corridors in-between lessons, his potion lessons were becoming even more unbearable for the likes of Neville Longbottom who received a months worth of detentions. The night of the ball finally arrived and much to Severus\'s dismay his partner in looking out for students was to be Sybil Trelawney.
