Aunthor's Note 2: Sorry about making
you wait so long for an update.
Life's been insane!!
------------------
Where we last were-- Ana's niece and
nephew have come to stay for the
weekend. Severus is gone for the day
and Ana is already slowly
beginning to lose her mind.
----------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Jenny had her head in the cubbard. Finally, she pulled out
a bag of chips. "I'm starved. Where's the pizza?" Trixie appeared
out of nowhere and began preparing one. "Cheese Missus Ana?" she asked
Jenny screamed, banging her head on the cupboard. "That's WEIRD!
Owwww!" Jenny grabbed her head. "That hurt!" She rubbed it,
scowling at the house elf. "Don't you know how to knock or
something?"
"House elves don't knock dear. In a way, it's more their home, then
ours." Ana said gently, kissing Jenny's head. "Come on, stay out of
the cupboard"
Jenny allowed herself to be led over to her brother, who was staring
intently at the china that had been repaired. "Is it supposed to look
like this?" he asked, pointing out a place where the pattern didn't
mesh.
Ana looked the plate over. "No...." she cringed. Jenny giggled. "I
think it looks better this way."
"no, it doesn't" Ana put the china away quickly. "Sit down, it'll be
ready in just a moment" The two kids sat down at the table and waited
patiently for their pizza. Patiently for about two minutes, then they
started impromptu drum solos by banging on the table.
Ana groaned. "This is a nice table, let's not wreck it, please?"
Trixie thankfully came out with the pizza, double cheese just a few
moments later, setting it out on glass plates that weren't quite so
treasured
"Thank you Trixie" Ana smiled "Thank you!" Both kids chorused the
response automatically, making Ana smile. Then they grabbed at the
pizza, like they hadn't eaten in months. "Yum!" Chris enthused, even
as Jenny opened her mouth, "Dis ist goob."
"Mouths closed please love," Ana scolded gently. "I think we shogo
go
outside and play after this, before you destroy the house"
"Yeah!" Both kids nodded enthusiastically. "We want to go
exploring!" Greaaaaat, Ana thought. "Well, you must stick close to the
house, promise?" She finished off her pizza.
"Okay! We promise!" They chorused obediantly. Ana sighed in relief.
"Alright, as soon as you're done, we'll get outside and you can run
off your energy!"
In short order, the pizza was fully consumed and the two kids were
racing for the door. "Are you coming, Aunt Ana?" Jenny turned around
to ask.
Ana nodded. "But we'll only be outside for an hour or so, then I
think it'll be time for popcorn and movies, alright?" She let the kids
take her hands and lead her outside. "I had forgotten how active you
two are!" she laughed. If only she had known....
As soon as they cleared the steps, both kids took off in different
directions. "Come this way, Aunt Ana!" Both shouted at her, leaving
her torn.
"Hey, we are all going together, understand? Come back here you two!"
Ana called
Brother and sister thought alike. "Catch us!" And with that, they
were gone, around the back of the house. They met up behind the house
and decided to pull a prank. They climbed behind some bushes and hid.
"Kids! That isn't funny, I don't appreciate it!" she called, running
to the other side of the house. She began to look for them. "Come out
or we won't play outside anymore!"
"We should go, Chris." Jenny whispered. "I don't want to have to go
back inside yet." "Come out now, or I'll... I'll... count!" Ana gave a
stomp
"What does that mean?" Chris asked Jenny. She shrugged. "I don't
know. Let's go." "No! I want to see what will happen if she
counts." Chris pulled her back down.
"ONE!" Ana yelled. Nothing. "TWO!!" "THREE" she paused again. "FOUR
GODDAMIT!"
"Oooooh!" Chris popped up from behind the bush. "You said a baaaad
wooord!" Ana grabbed him by the ear. "Yeah, and I'm proud of it *thank
you* Now where is your sister? Outside time is SO over!"
Jenny popped up beside him. "I'm here. Chris made me hide!" She
whined. "I highly doubt that young lady" Ana took her ear as well and
began dragging them inside. "I think some time outs are needed, you
two need to listen to me."
"I really tried!" Jenny shot her brother a nasty look. "This is all
your fault!" "Not uh!" he slapped her arm "Hey!" She slapped him
back, pulling away from Ana's grip. "It is your fault, stupid. I
told you we should go when she called us!"
They began rolling across the floor, banging into a wall and making
dents from their kicking
"Stop that at once!" Ana watched in horror as they knocked over a
small bookshelf sending books flying across the room.
They giggled, and ran upstairs, into hers and Severus' room, locking
the door behind them. "Let's jump on the bed!" Jenny squealed,
climbing on and jumping in her shoes.
Ana was starting to get angry. She chased them up the stairs and hit
the door only to find it locked. She jerked her wand out of her
pocket and pointed it at the closed door. "Alohomora!"
The kids were giggling and jumping on the bed, and several perfume
bottles were now broken, having fallen from the nightstand as it was
jarred by the bed
Ana walked deliberately over to the bed and pulled them both off by
the arms. "I am giving you both a fifteen minute time out! Now go to
your room and be quiet!"
"Ooh, wand!" Jenny said, grabbing it from her hand. Chris grabbed it
from Jenny. "I wanna see!" He pointed it towards the door, then
smacked the door with it hard. The wand broke in half.
"Oooh, that sucks," Jenny said sadly. "Chris, you're an idiot..." "It
was an accident, okay?" He handed the broken pieces back to his aunt,
sheepishly. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to break it."
"Yeah, sorry..." Jenny mumbled. "SORRY?" Ana growled. "Go to your
rooms before I... I... do something bad!"
Deciding at last to retreat, the two kids scurried off to their room.
"Do you think she's gonna ground us for the whole weekend?" Jenny
whispered to her brother as they shut the door behind them. "She
looked really mad."
"I hope not..." Jenny sniffled.
Ana went down to the kitchen, and thanked Trixie over and over for the
cup of coffee she was given. "Those kids are going to drive me
nuts..."
An hour of quiet later, thwas was a shattering of glass, followed by
the kids diving into the living room and pillow fighting. "What the
hell?" Ana snapped
A second later, the pillow ripped down the center as they struggled
over it, sending feathers all over the place.
"Missy Ana, what's going on?" Trixie asked, rushing in. Ana looked
angry. "You kids, time out NOW!!! I mean it!" she pointed to two
corners
Chris and Jenny both looked at her shocked. "Why? We didn't do
anything wrong!"
"Oh, now THAT is rich! Trixie, can you help me clean up? Get to those
corners NOW! You are destroying our house and you broke my wand so I
can't fix it!"
Jenny pouted at her. "I didn't break your wand, *he* did! And he
started the pillow fight too!"
"I don't care young lady! Chris, WHY Are you poking at Trixie? leave
her be!" Ana stomped her foot angrilly, growling much like Severus
would have.
"Why is she so upset?" Chris asked. "She has magic of her own to fix
all this."
"Because Trixie takes pride in keeping our house nice, and it's sad
for her to see you two wrecking it. Corner, now, before I do something
you both won't like! Go!" Ana turned to Trixie. "I'm really sorry"
Trixie looked so upset that Ana wasn't all that surprised when she
vanished. "Damn it!" she growled under her breath. Chris looked up
at the thud from above. "I think she went to the attic..." When he
saw the look on Ana's face, he backed away. "I'm just saying..."
Ana shook her head and began taking the remaining parts of the pillows
towards the hall closet. "You two better be in those corners!!"
The two kids looked at each other and giggled. When Ana went into the
closet, they sprung their trap, quickly slamming the door behind her.
"KIDS! LET ME OUT!" Ana shouted, smacking her head on the back of the
closet.
"Not if you're going to make us stand in the corner!" Jenny yelled
back, her hands on her small hips.
"Come on please! We have to clean up before Severus gets back or he
will be angry!" Ana banged he dhe door with her fists
That was what Severus heard as he opened the door. His eyes widened
in disbelief and shock. There were feathers scattered all over the
floor, books spilling out from the overturned bookshelf, a dent in the
wall, and two very smug looking kids holding the closet door shut.
