Author's Notes: Severus and Ana have just moved into his manor for the summer. Yet another Ana and Severus adventure, yay!!
------------------
Ana sat at the breakfast table in Severus' cozy manor, not long after school was out for the summer, and sipped her coffee.
As she wrote out an answer to a crossword puzzle, she looked across the table at Severus. "Sev, did you remember about today?"
Snape was idly twirling his spoon through his own coffee and scanning the Daily Prophet. "Of course, my dear. I have a Potions conference today and will be gone until this evening."
He stopped and looked at her, ignoring the fact that the spoon kept moving.
"No, about my niece and nephew," Ana said with a sigh. "I told you last week I'd agreed to watch them for my brother and his wife. It's their anniversary and they want to get away for a bit. Remember? Anything ringing a bell? Two nights, three days... kids..." she said slowly.
He slapped his hand to his head. "I totally forgot. They're coming today?"
"Yes and don't do that, or I'll have to scold you" she said with a wink, leaning over to kiss his forehead. "But yes, they are coming today. Christopher is ten, and Jennifer is nine. They're really sweet kids. Energetic, but cuties."
"Energetic? Is that code for a hand full?" Severus sighed. "I suppose I can cancel my conference."
"Dont' be silly," Ana said, shaking her head. "You can go, I've baby-sat them before. And energetic is not the same has hand-ful. Hanful is out right naughty. Energetic just means to keep them buand and mostly outside so they can get tired and watch videos."
"Well, if you're sure." Severus hid his relief. Even though he was a teacher, kids were not his favorite company. "I'll be back this evening by dinner."
"Alright. And don't worry, I'll warn them about your lab, just make sure you put a ward up around it. Sorry hon, I know you aren't fond of kids," she admitted with a wistful sigh. "But it's only for a few days."
He frowned. "I'll be sure to ward the lab. Thanks for the reminder. See if you can't keep them out of our room, as well. I don't think I have anything dangerous in there, but better safe than sorry."
Ana nodded. "Of course love. Anything else you think is important to keep them out of? I gave them the room next to ours, in case they have nightmares. Severus, can I ask you something, something rather serious?" she questioned with a blushing face.
He looked at her surprised. "Of course you can. You can ask me anything."
"Someday Severus, if we get very very serious about ourselves and all. And perhaps chose to get married would you ever want a baby with me?" Her voice grew continually softer as she spoke.
He took a deep breath. "If we get to the point where we want a family, Ana, I can't think of anyone I'd want to have children with other than you." He smiled at her.
Ana sighed in relief and beamed at him. "Good. I've been a little worried about that. Because someday, god knows not too soon of course!, I want a family." she leaned across to kiss him deeply. "But I'd never want you to be unhappy"
"I can't imagine being unhappy with you. And I think that I would want our children. Not too soon, of course." He stood. "I really should be going. I hope you and your neice and nephew have a good day."
Ana nodded. "Thanks love. I'll see you tonight, and try not to worry about us three." She blew him a kiss and went upstairs to dress.

Ana ran to the door as the bell rang, and opened it. "Hi kids!" she called, hugging them both as best she could.
"Aunt Ana!" They surrounded her bouncing up and down. "Hi! We are soooo excited to be here." Jenny announced as she threw her arms around her favorite aunt.
As the kids tackled her to the floor, Ana gave a meek wave at her brother Dan and his wife Lisa. "Hello, you excited?"
"Thrilled." Dan chuckled at his enthusiastic children. "Hkiddkiddos. Let your aunt off the floor for a minute. You can tackle her again after your mom and I leave."
Ana laughed as the kids let her up and went bounding inside. "Glad I could help out. Anything I should know? New allergies, anything?" she gave her brother a hug as she spoke
"Not really." He hugged her back. "Although, don't let them have sugar too late. If you think they're hyper now..." He let that warning die on his lips. "We'll be back in a few days. Just do your best to keep them both alive and you'll be fine." He cHe chuckled. "And don't let them push you around, either."
Ana laughed. "Severus is the big meanie around here," she winked. "I'm the push over who gets to spoil her niece and nephew. I promise, we'll be just fine. Have an awesome time you two."
"Thank you so much, Ana." Lisa smiled at her gratefully. "It's been so long since we were able to get away." She went inside to kiss her kids good bye. "If you need us," Dan picked up, "you can send an owl."
"Alright, behave and have fun!" Ana teased. She closed the door behind them. "Well, let's get your stuff upstairs to your rooms, ok? Then are you hungry?"
"YES!" Both kids shouted, still bouncing. "Can we have pizza?" Chris begged.
"Please?"
"Pretty pretty please?" Jenny added. "Of course. Up we go. Third door on the left. Stay out of the room at the end of the hall though, that's mine," Ana instructed.
"Why can't we go in?" Chris asked, immediately intrigued. "You got cool magic stuff in there? Daddy says that your boyfriend is a big time wizard over here."
"Yes, he is in important wiz And And because you don't need to see my messy room silly," Ana told Chris. She took Jenny's hand. "Pizza is down here, and I remembered to get chejuicjuice at the grocery"
"Hey, cool!" Jenny held her aunt's hand contendedly. "I love cherry juice. So does Chris." They dropped their belongings in their rooms and as they turned around Chirs shouted.
"What is that?" He was pointing towards a small green creature with big ears who was in the room putting fresh sheets on the bed.
"That is a house elf. They live here and help Severus out with things. They like to do that. Her name is Trixie" Ana explained.
"Hey cool!" Chris stared openly. "I don't think they have house elves at home. Do they?"
"Not that I know of honey, but don't make her feel like she's odd. Come on downstairs now and we'll get some lunch."
"Okay." The kids proved easily distracted and bounded down the stairs leaving Ana trailing behind. She heard a crash from the kitchen and rushed after them. "What happened? Are you okay?"
The breakfast table had fallen over, and the delicate china, a Snape family heirloom, that was displayed during the day, most of the collection was smashed. "Oopsies?" Jenny offered. "I wanted to fold the leafs of it up,and it wen BOOM," Chris supplied.
"It's okay. I can fix it." Ana pulled her wand out and muttered a spell under her breath. The kids watched delighted as the china pulled back together.
"Neat, let's do it again!" Chris shouted, making to throw the table over again as Jenny bounded into the kitchen and began digging through cupboards.
"No!" Ana jumped between her nephew and the table. "Let's not do it again. Aren't you hungry?" She was desperate to distract him.
"Yeah, I guess so. Do you have a pool?" "Yeah swimming!!!!" Ana groaned. It was already turning into a very long day!
