Chapter 10
Where ever Hermione was ………..
She tried so hard to concentrate on the book she was holding but she just couldn’t. She just stared blankly at the page she had marked not being able to read a word. She felt worried, sad, deprived, lonely, and horny. She was feeling so many things and she couldn’t clear her head. She was trapped in a room. Sure the room was nice with a bathroom and enough necessities for her but that was it. No human contact except those short irritating visits from her capture, and lefty a house elf. She needed air fresh, crisp air. The trees of the forest the wide openings and the moon light shining into the lake. She needed to be outside no secluded from the world to wallow in her misery. Not to sit here and remember everything she had to go through. The worse part of it was those memories of horrid events were not even of the war. They were of Ron and everything he did to her. ‘How fucked am I?’ she thought to herself.
“The war wasn’t even what I think was the worst part of my life. Huh, why can’t I just get over it and move on I should be wallowing like this over what happened to me during the war that would sound so much better. So much less selfish. GGGRRRR.” She growled in frustration and slammed the book down. She walked over to the journal and just stared at it. She ran her fingers over the cover she wanted to write in it but she just didn’t know where to stare. She felt so confused over all. She wanted to stop think about the past and move on like everyone has. Why was she the only one not able to find anyone other than another lonely, miserable soul to share a laugh once in a while? She tired wit Nott but she just didn’t feel that right with him. He was an amazing date and friend but she just couldn’t see it going anywhere else other than a nice friendship.
“Goodness, why am I so miserable?” She asked no one but herself as if she knew the answer to that. She heard a ‘POP’ and turned to see lefty there with her dinner plate and some butter beer. He also had a little vile on the tray she assumed it was another dreamless sleep potion. ‘Hopefully this one works.’ She thought.
“Is bringing you your dinner Missus and some more dreamless sleep potion as well. Master threw out the rest and brewed a whole new batch for you Missus.” With that he set the tray down in front of the couch and ‘POPPED’ out of the room.
She sat and ate her meal in silence. She didn’t think about anything, only about how wonderful the food tasted. ‘Well at least “Draco” has wonderful taste in food. He must be from a wealthy family. Of course he is the Aurors still haven’t found me, my prison cell is amazing. Of course he’s wealthy.’ She thought as she finished her plate of food and guzzled the last of her butter beer. She wasn’t ready for bed she just didn’t feel tired yet. She wanted to give reading another try before taking her potion and going to sleep.
She slid down to the corner of the couch and picked up the book once again. This time she saw the words at least. So she kept reading. She heard the ‘POP’ of the house elf and look over at him as he gathered her tray and ‘POPPED’ back to where the hell he goes off to. She turned back to read her book in peace. She started to feel a bit dizzy so she decided it be best to just save the rest of the reading for tomorrow morning she guessed. She took her dreamless sleep potion and lies down and fell asleep almost instantly.
He was watching her from the doorway. He was glad she didn’t notice. He just wanted to admire her without all the sass she gives him. He walked over to her and just stared at her for a little while thinking about what he could do that wasn’t crossing any lines. He kneeled down in front of her to be a bit closer to her. He could see her chest rising and falling as she breathed. He noticed her face was so soft and angelic when she slept but she still seemed to be guarded as well. He wondered why she was so shielded, even in her sleep. He brought his hand up to caress her face but stopped when she stirred a little. Some hair fell on her face and he brushed it behind her ear. He just continued to stare at her. He wanted so bad to show her who he was but he just wasn’t ready. He wanted to deny it and say it really was because of her but she was so amazingly ready for anything it seemed. Whatever was thrown at her during the war she took it. She took all the blows and still held her head up high to the sky and never showed any sign of weakness. He wished he could’ve been like. Of course he was guarded but the circumstances were completely different. He wasn’t the one being tortured starved, and out sleeping on the ground in freezing weather. He wanted to get to know everything she went through everyone had picked up their lives and continued on but it seemed as if she just couldn’t. Something was holding her back and he wanted know what bothered her and take it away. He wanted to smash the person whoever they were and lock them down in the dungeons and torture them like they deserved to be. It angered him and he knew he couldn’t show her who he was until he knew the mystery behind her misery. He rose from her side and conjured a single red rose and laid it on the journal for her to find it when she awoke.

Back at Hogwarts …………..
Servus made his way to his former classroom. He looked around and saw nothing had changed. He saw today’s lesson was still written on the board. He walked into the classroom brushing his fingers across the desks as he approached the front of the class. He stood in front of the desk and saw the all the papers were scattered across the desk.
“Just like her room. I always told her she worked too hard.” She said with a chuckle. He walked around the desk and sat in what used to be his chair. She refused to throw it out. She said the chair had character. She was different. She was fragile but did not what to accept it. She was forced to act so hard and tough she just cannot let her guard down. She had a painful secret; anyone who actually took the time to really study her would notice this.
“Of course those dunderheads wouldn’t notice anything wrong with her. They wouldn’t notice Voldemort standing in front of them wearing a pink fluffy tutu if someone didn’t point it out to them. This always was Hermione. She really was the brains to their trio.” He spoke a loud to the empty classroom. He sighed and let his head fall on the back of the chair. Now staring at the roof of the class room and couldn’t help but doze off.

At the Malfoy Manor……….
Draco stepped through the fireplace and to his surprise his father wasn’t waiting for him. He walked into the room and made his way to the door. As he got near to the door, the door swung open and there was his father looking down at him.
“Son, how was your visit to your godfather?” He asked with a raised brow as if he already knew the answer.
“It was fine father. Potter and the rest of the aurors were there. They took that weasel in. I really don’t know why, I thought they were best friends. I guess times have changed.” He sat in front of his father desk as his father walked around to sit behind his desk.
“That’s odd; Servus didn’t say anything once they left?” He asked.
“No father he didn’t. He just bid me farewell and left his office so I returned home. Now father I am feeling a bit tired, I’m going to bed now good night father.” With that he rose from the chair and left his father’s study. Making his way to his room he couldn’t help but wonder what the weasel really did do. He pushed the thought aside to think about later after he took his bath and had a good night’s rest. He called for one of the house elves’s to get his bath running in his tub.
His father just sighed and leaned back into his chair and brought his hand to his face in frustration. He wondered how long his son was going to keep this up. If his had had anything to with Miss Granger’s disappearance everything they had done to rebuild the Malfoy name would have gone to waste.
He decides the he would get to the bottom of this one way or another. He was not Voldemort right hand man for nothing. He rose from his chair and went off to his room where his wife would be waiting to hear what happened.
