On A Mission

As Hermione and lily slept they dreamed about the dance. only to wake up the next morring

and be ready for it. \"I\'m really nervous.\" said Hermione shaking. Lily only nodded, she was going

to the dance with James. Sirius was going with Elizabeth Thompson, a ravenclaw seventh year.

Peter was going with Alica Lawson, a fifth year hufflepuff. Lily was the first girl to walk down the

stairs. Her red hair was wrapped up in a tight bun filled with white jewles in her hair, her long

lavander dress was about ankle-length and had flowers designs on it. The look on James\' face was

priceless. Hermione was the last to come down from the tower. Her long frizzy blond-brown hair was

tamed and in loose curls, she was wearing a long black low cut dress about Lily\'s length. with lace

at the bottom. her lips were glossed with honey colored lipstick and her copper blush made her

appear less pale. If you thought James\'s look was priceless you should have seen Remus\' he was

litteraly drooling from his mouth. Even Sirius, Peter, and JAMES were jelous. Several times lily had

to draw James\' attention back to herself. As the evening persued and the dance was ending

everyone was still in wonder about who Remus was always dancing with. \"She\'s amazing.\" \"I wish i

looked like her.\" \"What a Hottie!\" those were a few of the comments Hermione heard that night.

Even now she can still hear their voices sounding though out the hall. As they struck up the final

dance Remus\' took Hermione out to the Rose garden in the back of the school. They sat a while

and chated about what they were going to do when they left school, \"Well i want to become an

Auror, i think it would be fun but there\'s no way they\'d let me because of what i am.\" he said

sadly. Hermione put her hand on his shoulder, \"I think that you should become a teacher.\" Remus

looked up at her with hope in his eyes. \"Do you think they\'d let me?\" he asked her. She nodded,

sincerity filled her loving brown eyes, \"Definatly!\" Remus smiled, \"Professor Lupin, I like it.\" they

smiled to each other and laughted. The air became serious, \"um say Hermione.\" She turned to

him, \"Ya.\" he looked down at his feet, \"Do you think there\'s a slight chance of an \'us\' in the

future?\" It was her turn to look down, \"I... really don\'t know re, there might be, i hope so.\" Remus

snapped his head up \"you hope so.\" he said with hope in his words. she smiled and nodded \"yes, i

mean when you were teaching at our school, back in my time, i had a... desperate crush on you.

As embarassing as it seems thats mainly why i didn\'t tell anyone about you, not even Harry or Ron.


It was because i felt like it really didn\'t matter. That you were just Professor Remus J. Lupin, the

Best Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher Hogwarts ever had... well to me anyway. when Harry,

Ron and i were in an argument over his Firebolt or Ron\'s rat, Hagrid was busy with Buckbeak... so i

went straight to your office, even though i knew what you were to me your like a part of my family,

someone who will always be there for me to talk to about my problems or even just to chat. You

are a very special person Remus Lupin and don\'t you ever change.\" she said while hugging him.

Remus felt tears come out of his eyes, \"Hermione I love you.\" he said She smiled at him, \"I love

you tmus mus Lupin, I love you too.\" He kissed her softly, and murmmerd sweet things in her ear.

The last song was over and as they stood up to go to the tower he bent down on his

knee, \"Hermione will you marry me?\"
