I liked all of the action/reaction but feel that the chapter was a bit shortchanged.
It seemed more like an outline than your normally full-fleshed work.

An excellent chapter. I am glad that Severus is getting along with his daughter. I hope that he and Hermione end up together in the end. I look forward to reading the next chapter.

Very nice progress in your story! Not to fond of Severus allowing Draco to call Hermione a Mudblood and Alyson a brat though. While I will grant Severus the rigth to have mixed emotions about bein a father, I fully expect him to stand up for his child no matter what.
And, while I can fully understand that Hermione was out of her mind with worry, I think someone, not Severus, but someone, should tell her just how easily little four years old rush into things, that this could just as easily have happened when Alyson were in her care, that Severus loves Alyson and would never, if he could have prevented it, allowed her to get hurt. Hermione owes Severus one hell of a apologie!

These last two chapters were a bit sad. Poor Severus being blamed for hurting Alyson and thinking that he would never get to see her again. I am glad that Alyson told her mum what happened and that Hermione apologized to Severus, letting him be a part of his daughter's life. I hope that soon he might convince Hermione to change Alyson's last name to Snape. I look forward to reading more.
