yay! Finally ch. 23! *dances*. This is an interesting turn of events.
Sorry about the shortness, but I had a wild night of partying lastnight,
and I'm still pretty delerious. You're a great writer, and if you came up
with an original idea you could definately get published and be famous I'm
sure. I'ma go to bed now.

Thanks for the update, I am glad that Harry got to see that Severus is not the monster that he wants others to believe he is and now he wont give up on trying to be with Severus.

I was right! Yes I guessed that the Dumbledore one was a faked memory. I didn't know why of course but I knew. I couldn't explain the other one but I was thinking it was Vold-yuck fooling Dumbledore. Wasn't sure how though. However I love the new plot direction. Sorry I didn't review earlier but I wasn't sure if in my great wisdom I'd make a fool of myself about my first Harry/Snape that had a plot I could sink my teeth into. I probably would've had a fit in the review and gone on and on and on...kinda like I'm doing now.

Go Dumblebore! I've always been fond of Albus and Severes' relationship being portrayed as a close needed friendship instead of Severes always seeing him as nothing more than his boss. I think it gives them both more character. I also think locking them up together is a great idea. Make Severes figure out he's not going to hurt Harry and Harry isn't going to hurt him. It's like the new version of locking two people in a closet with condoms, flavored lube, and a vibrator.

I think Snape has a very good character here, not the most original of all (but pretty far away from Angsty Teen Hotty Character that has a similar additude) but I haven't seen the selfless-thinks-he's-a-monster much used with Snape. Not that I've read many with Snape as a main character. But I also think you give his position and feelings more I don't know, class? Like it could really happen outside of this story. And he has good reason to think he's a monster. Some times when similar characterizations are used the reasons are less likely like not being able to stop something or not being strong enough. Reasons for not liking yourself but not seeing yourself as a monster some people say these characters do. If you undersood a word of that you're a smarter person than I. But Snape actually has mistakes in his past doesn't he? And he did lose control with Harry a bit. But none of the reason are strong enough for other people to see him as a monster if they care about him.

Thank you for not making Harry a 'I understand and I'm not leaving you' sniffling goey sweet mass of gunkiness. To clarify, the way he ran away after instead of staying there and 'holding true to his only love' and staying made him seem like a real person. His doubts are many and he sees in from many perspectives instead of the usual ones or self pitying ones. It makes him rather in character than you would think having fallen in love with S.S. and all.

Overall I think this is a wonderful story and it has a lovely mood to it that is both serious and dark but romantic and light. It's hard to explain but those are the vibes I get from it.

Thank You.
DK ;)
