Um, one of his professors at Hogwarts had a freakin\' Dark Lord under his turban for years... doesn\'t surprise me that a few sluts fly under the radar.

What the hell?!? You mean people didn\'t like this fic?!?! OMG!! This was great! WOW!! I\'m not a huge HG/SS shipper, but this was really, really good. Are readers really that anal about fic characters being canon? I hate to say this, but if we all always kept them canon, there would be no HP/SS or HG/SS...ever.

You know I did read this story, think the grammer is great but-sorry it had a very immature viewpoint. I did think it was written by a teenager or young woman. And guess what I checked the author on the LJ and she graduated last year. I knew it. And some of the supporters I checked-all very young women. And if a lot of reviewers are immediately saying the writer is young, obvioulsy there is something in the story that makes everyone think that.
Girls, don\'t get upset because grown women don\'t have your point of view. Take it from an older broad-this story is totally unrealistic. And you want to why? Not because they\'re both nuts. Not because HG is pathetic and Severus is a bastard. Not even the ridiculous thought of a Prof. giving permission to live with a 16 year old. That\'s nuts but, OK.
It was the White Roses. The whole idea of it. Only a very young women would write a story where the guy treats her like shit, screws women in her bed-but, than stays because she knows he loves her because he gives her roses. That\'s the most immature storyline I\'ve ever come across. She\'ll stop loving him when he gives others roses. Yeah right. You see a mature women would understand that if a guy is nasty enough to screw people where you sleep, he\'s damned sure giving other women roses if it will let them get into the sack with them. For whatever reason that rose thing seems to appeal to the romance in young women.
And Severus doesn\'t love Hermione in this. He\'s just a sick manipulitive fuck who feels he owns Hermione. There\'s no evidence of him loving her in this story. None.
Something you young ladies should think about and just out of curiousity I checked a small sample. The women that didn\'t like this story are mostly over 28. The girls that rush to defend are under 21. Oh they may claim to be older but, check and see. Only a very young women who\'s still idealistic would like this story.
You see, older women know about real life. And a lot of us have been in horrible situations. That\'s why we read fanfic-to relax and enjoy. We live real life, we don\'t feel like reading a story where a youbg woman attempts to write what she feels is real life. I\'m not talking about the story per se, but everything in it that the author feels is realistic is just completely off-key.
Oh-by the way another way most people realize the author is young-too many defenses and too much \"I\'ll show you-I\'m keeping my story up. I\'m not changing yadda yadda yadda. Mature women don\'t defend their stories in that way, and don\'t make what amounts to threats \"not to post anymore-I\'ll show you\".
Well since the author is young , I will say I think it\'s cute her young friends are supporting her. That\'s sweet.
And I\'l tell you something else-I would like to read the author\'s stories when she matures. She has the makings of a good author.

Torey, dear. If you\'ll look, you\'ll see that even if people didn\'t like the story, no mature woman would call other women \"bitches\". If you want to hang out with the big girls, don\'t sound like the teenager you are by using words like that. I\'m going to tell your Mommy!

Natural white ass?? LOL Where the hell do you teens get this stuff. And Spoiled whatever we damned sure know you\'re a teen. No grown woman would ever use that term. LOL
I have to ditto the previous reviewer. The young teens and young women like this and mature women don\'t. And yup, totally unrealistic. All of you will see why in a few years.

I am getting a huge kick out of the last few supporters. But I feel like an old lady. My daughter, who\'s 18, just used the term \"the masses are asses\". And now I see it here. I am so out of touch with the new phrases of today so thanks girls.
As for the story-the reviewer Pearle hit it on the nail the best. There are certain patterns to co-dependent or abusive relationships. Yes they do exist and I realize you were attempting to show that, however the structure, thoughts, everything is off. You probably feel this is a realistic view and at your age, maybe this is the way you see such relationships. However, it is completely off-key. That\'s what older ladies are picking up on. It\'s not that horrible things like this don\'t happen, it\'s the way they happen and this is a young woman\'s fantasy of such a relationship.
I do commend you for giving this type of thing a shot, however please wait a bit before delving into stories like this again. You\'re all of 17, 18 or 19- way too young to understand things like this. And before you get angry-it\'s true. I look at the world now and than think of how I thought things were at 18, and wow it\'s a difference.
I do wish you lucj in your writing and give yourself a break-write something light and lo-key.

Donna I was very interested in your review but you didn\'t leave an email, I\'d like to respond to you but not in a public forum. [not to harrass you in anyway, I just have something to say and I don\'t think here is the proper place for it, however I understand if you don\'t want to send it to me.] I just figured I\'d respond since I did have something constructive to say in response.

If you don\'t like the story, bitches, stop fucking reading it! It\'s not that hard, all you have to do is hit the nice little button called \'back\' on your web tool bar. You call the author very \'high school\' because she wrote this fic? Actually, I think you\'re high school for flaming her for writing it. You could have just said, \"Look, I don\'t like this because I\'m too fucking weak in the head and so fucking young that I can\'t understand that people cheat on each other all the time and I live on Cloud Nine so, la la la, you can\'t make me realize there\'s a real world out there! Na nah na nah na!\" Because that\'s what you children *all* sound like. Just because a story contains real life angst doesn\'t mean it\'s OOC, grow the fuck up. I can hardly take any of the negative reviewers seriously because they have nothing better to do than read fiction all day.
The story was a beautiful setting of angst. The world is not made up of fluffy clouds where seventeen year old girls have perfect relationships with their professors. Thank you for being brave enough to write this since there are so many negative little girls in this fandom and taking their naive bullshit in stride.

Gotta agree with lightgoddess. You definitely should post a sequel to this with your head held up high. You are a brilliant author, so don\'t let these naysayers get you down and try and make you feel unworthy of writing such eccentric work.
I hope to see you write lots more HP fics in the future, especially HG/SS. It\'s been refreshing to see you incorporate real life subjects and turn it into a fic so magnificent.
And a side note to all the people like Donna, Vonda, Kitty, Candice, etc., I\'m not a teenager (I\'m in my twenties, thank you!). Don\'t tell me how to speak. Candice, personally I don\'t find you respectable at all, because as an adult, your parents should have taught you that if you don\'t have anything nice to say, don\'t say anything at all.
Kitty, grammer is spelled GRAMMAR. You commend Tygerlily on her spelling, yet you can\'t even spell the simplest of words correctly
Anyway, Tygerlily, sorry if I was rude to some of your negative reviewers, but just because they don\'t agree that our viewpoints are just as valid, does not mean they have the right to go around badmouthing people!
