I found your story quite intriguing. 

One of the prettiest Severus/Hermione stories I have read. Very pretty. I found the human reactions and thoughts to be very realistic, it is a large world and there are many people, not all of them handle situations and relationships int he same way. If all fictions were written the same, then the fanfiction sites would be incredibly boring place to visit. I like that the characters are OOC. I'm incredibly guilty of that crime myself. Only Rowlings has the authority to write them perfectly in character, I think. Anyhow, great story, wonderful lines. Loved the scene where he gave her the first rose.

Hi, liked the fic no matter what other people say. I hope you do finish your sequel.
I always imagined a SS/HG relationship would be twisted, semi-abusive, given the psych problems of many war vets.

i won\'t criticize... in fact... i give you \'kudo\'s for the great writing... the pairing is sadly completely fanon... and all readers should know this... but you\'ve brilliantly placed these two into the characters they would be if such pairing was/is possible... the pairing will be/is inevitably tragic and this fic shows that perfectly so...

You know, I like this story. Yes, it MAY be OOC - but Hermione is obviously no longer a student so how do we know what her personality will be? I assume this is after the war, and that kind of trauma will bring people together and change people\'s personalities.

As for the reviewers who say Snape is OOC - wake up! In canon he is an incredibly selfish asshole. I think you got him spot-on here. Well done and well written.

I\'m sorry so many people said they disliked this fic. Frankly, I think this is a very well written piece. I\'m glad you decided to stand by your work and ignore the voices of dissent. Keep writing and keep developing because while your writing entertaines us readers it\'s really about expressing and being true to yourself. As long as you do that , you\'re good in my book. Keep it up!

i read the reviews before i tackled the story. i must say that i think the level of controversy surrounding this is rather out of hand.

Someone mentioned that you could put any two names into this and still have a working story. It is, indeed, very versatile. In all honesty, I believe that it would work better as an original fiction.

I understand why people like it. And i understand why people don\'t. I think that it\'s a poor choice of topic for the HP genre, if only for the reason that it\'s just not what people want to read. In fanfiction, the majority of people are looking for fun, fairly lighthearted pieces. Generally they shy away from the darker ones. Dark fics just don\'t seem to belong in the fanfiction world.

Tygerlily, i admire you for taking the step to write such a heavy piece. You\'re talented as a writer, though i did find a few (very few!) punctuation errors. I think when you have a plot such as this in your head, you should consider creating an original fiction instead of applying this to an existing set of characters. You would do very well in dramatic writing.

I refuse to comment in the issue of OOC because hey, if we weeded out all the OOC fanfiction out there, what would be left?
