Wonderful! I love a good parody, especially when it reads better than the original work. Keep up the good writing. I want to see more from this author.

A wonderful spoof! I think this is a great response to the vitriol that is going on over at WIKTT.

Unfortunately, I do hapto sto support the other author as well, since I relish the FICTION part of fan fiction (so long as the characters are fiction, not real...reference to that spanking piece). I think this was sarcastic, which was your point. There are worse fics to mock, though.

Yes there are other doormat!Hermiones out there but this one was very visible and was being highly praisedso mso many, thank you for expressing an opposing opinion in this fashion.

*ponders* Frankly I like the original fic and I\'m sorry for Areola that all of the WIKTT people are being so unkind to her. I\'m not sure why you guys are so gung ho on picking on her... after all there is some really shitty fic in this world and Lilacs isn\'t really it. Yes that kid is far too old, and yes Sev is a prat, and Hermione is a doormat.. but still it\'s so much better than some of the stories out there... take that awful new years challenge on Lord and Lady Snape for instance... the writing for that was mostly deplorable.

This brought a smile to my face this morning, and I know exactly which fic you refer to (though in a broad sense it could apply to many more.) I don\'t understand why writers make a smart, tough chick like Hermione into a weak baby-making victim all the time, maybe latant hostility, but then why are they writing about a character they so obviously hate. I don\'t get it.

I never read the subject of your parody (I don\'t enjoy rape fics so I never even started it). But still, this isn\'t funny it\'s just mean. How about rather than downgrading someone else\'s fic, you fill the fandom with your own interpretation of strong!Hermione. By that I mean real stories, not cheap one-shots designed to bolster your standing within your circle of egotistical and nasty friendsou dou don\'t take back a fandom by adding poorly written stories, you do so by giving readers well-written choices. This is just another sad example of how far this fandom has sunk.

Sarcasm? Certainly. Clever? Not especially. An effective paroduldnuldn\'t be quite so sanctimonious. WIKTT sycophants: get over yourself. No one is better than anyone else in the world of fanfiction. We\'re all being paid the same amount for our work. Except Riley, of course. She got published. (always found that delicious, myself)
