I write a LOT of parodies (I have four published and many others sitting on my harddrive) and I can tell you the the most witty and effective ones poke fun at the entire fandom, not one particular story (there are a few exceptions when somebody is parodying a fic they particularly like, but this doesn\'t do that). You obviously broke that rule. If you like to write parodies so much, you should try to parody overused plotlines, rather than one specific story.
This singled out the author of BL and rudely belittled her. That\'s immature and in very poor taste. I\'m sure you think I\'m just some sort of idiot fangirl (I\'m not--I have no interest in reading BL) and that my opinion doesn\'t matter. Go ahead and think that if it reassures you.
But you seriously should consider what goes into making a good humorous parody. Wit and cleverness do; rudeness and childishness do not.

I don\'t usually get involved with flame wars because I feel that everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Also, as a fellow fanfic writer, I fully agree with the concept of constructive criticism as it helps (in my opinion) the writer improve their skills. However, it seems that \'constructive criticism\' was thrown out the window by several people and that, rather than trying to remain objective and deliver their opinions in a \'professional\' manner, people have resorted to personal attacks against the author of the fic that you are parodying. Yes, it\'s okay to dislike a story\'s premise and it\'s fine to disagree with the author\'s rationale, but we all have the choice of whether or not we continue to read the story in question. I realize that the author indicated that it was okay to leave a concrit review but why couldn\'t people leave their reviews and let things drop from then on? If the author doesn\'t like, agree or accept your opinions then isn\'t that their choice since they are the one writing the story? And isn\'t it our choice as readers to stop or continue reading? Why the flame wars? I too prefer a strong Hermione and don\'t think that I would have done the same in her shoes, but she is a fictional character and I\'m not about to pull a stunt like this and try to enforce my opinions on others, especially since it\'s not my story and I have the choice to walk away from it. In short, I am not knocking your writing abilities but I do question the ethics involved as this was (in my opinion) downright cruel and is nothing more than a smack in the face to the author of the other fic. If you truly wanted to make your point clear to that author, why didn\'t you send this story to her/him privately? By posting it to a site in this manner and by eggpeoppeople on re: reviews in your story summary, I can only conclude that you were looking for attention more than trying to be helpful to a fellow fanfic writer. If such is the case then I congratulate you because you certainly got people\'s attention. Unfortunatley, this has left a very negative impact on me. Had this been parodying numerous fics in general then perhaps I might have seen some humor in it but since it is aimed at one person/ story in particular I can\'t help but feel badly for that person even though I don\'t know them. In summary, this was unprofessional, hurtful and in very bad taste and I for one would truly love to see you turn your talents for writing toward a story/plot of your own creation in which you can show off your own opinions and ideas as to how you think the characters should be without dragging someone else through the mud. Just my two cents as a fellow fanfic reader and writer and you did state that you could \'take it\'.

Don\'t you have anything better to do than to write parodies of other people\'s hard work. It isn\'t amusing and I find it difficult to understand why grown adults would make a mockery of \'Breeding Lilacs out of Dead Land\' when there are far worse fics out there, including ones where HErmione is forced to marry Snape then after two days she discovers she loves him, or ones whehe bhe behaves like an immature moron and he just shrugs it off and the ones where Hermione has hidden his child away for years and he just accepts her back into his life. If you didn\'t like the story then you weren\'t forced to read any more but there was no need for this kind of childish, pathetic behavior.

As I look over the reviews above this one I am astounded by the vicious words being delivered in defense ree ree speech. I followed the agruments on WIKTT and found the defenders of BLooDL to be the mud slingers. Now, that a little mud has been slug back - Oh, my shouldn\'t do things like that!! Talk about hypocritical bullshit!!!
