The Beginning
some characters owned by J.K. Rowling, others owned by me, plot is mine
He stands in the middle of the circle, looking at those around him.
“I find that certain people,” he curls his lips, “have disobeyed me. This will stop now,” he says quietly, staring around at those gathered.
There’s a slight murmur from the group, and a few rustling cloaks.
“My Lord,” one figure steps forward, “wee doe done all that you wished. What more could you ask of us?” He darts back into the confining circle as the Dark Lord turns his crimson eyes upon him.
“What more could I ask? Yes, that is a good question,” the Dark Lord steps up close to the one who spoke up, “I find, Parkinson, that what I want the most is loyalty, and success. We can not become stronger until I have seen certain things done, that this pathetic group has not accomplished,” he reaches into his ropes to pull something out, when another figure steps forward.
“Careful, my Lord,” it warns, in its strange, almost too quiet voice that the other members have come to recognize and fear.
The Dark Lord removes his hand from inside his ropes and turns toward the figure still in the middle of the circle, “You’re in luck, Parkinson, The Hand has saved you. But make no mistake, if I’m questioned again, or am disobeyed, the one who’s responsible shall die.” He turns from the figure and stalks out of thecle.cle. The figure looks at those assembled and speaks, “Know this, those who defy the Dark Lord, will not perish by his hand, but by mine.” With those cryptic remarks, The Hand follows the Dark Lord out of the circle.
There’s a resultant murmur from the group and then several popping noises. The clearing used for the meeting is empty once again.
Please review! This is my first fanfic, and I would like to know what everyone thinks of it. I don\'t know when I\'ll have the time to upload new chapters, but I\'ll try to upload at least one new chapter every week.
