\"A thousand or so years ago a great Dark Wizard rose,\" began an old man.
\"The Dragon?\" a small girl who was sitting at his feet interrupted.
The old man chuckled. \"No, child. This Dark Wizard wasn\'t as powerful or cruel as the Dragon. However, many feared him and would only call him \'He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named\' or \'You-Know-Who\'. His true name has been lost for centuries. He wanted to become immortal, as I\'m sure many people after him have wished. But he wanted it so bad he was willing to kill anyone who got in his way. It was on such an errand that a small boy, who carried a lightning bolt scar forever as the proof, defeated him. This boys\' name was Harry Potter.\"
A boy in the back yelled out, \"The Lion!\"
\"Yes,\" the old man nodded. \"The Lion. It is written that the Dark Wizard rose many times after this, but was thrown down each time by the Lion. Finally, Lio Lion killed the Dark Wizard, thus ending what many thought of as the \'Dark Age\' in the Wizarding World. However, Harry Potter\'s greatest enemy, whom we call the Dragon, took over and drove the World into what we now know as \'Pax Draconis\'. He was said to be the coldest and most beautiful man who ever lived. All that saw him fell under his spell, except...\" Here the man paused.
\"Except...?\" the girl on his lap urged him.
He glanced at her. \"Except the Lion. And he saw what needed to be done. It climaxed to the Final Battle, where the Lion and the Dragon faced each other off. And then they disappeared.\"
Here several children gasped.
\"Yes,\" he nodded. \"The vanished in the middle of their battle and were never seen again. The Wizarding World rejoiced, but there was great sadness also. Because their Hero was gone forever.\"
A girl older than the rest piped up, \"Isn\'tre are a Prophecy about his return?\"
\"It is said that he will herald the Golden Ages. They say he is just sleeping, waiting.\" The old man looked at his audience. \"I think that is enough for tonight. Off to bed!\" He started to get up.
\"No!\" yelled the girl who had asked. \"Please tell us the Prophecy.\"
He sighed. \"Very well.
In a time when Faith is torn,
The world lies beaten and bloody
Chaos rules with an Iron grip.
Humankind struggles to free itself,
And awakens the Sleepers of Legend.\"
The girl looked thoughtful. \"But that says \'Sleepers\', not \'Sleeper\', Professor.\"
The old man nodded a sad look on his face. \"The Lion and the Dragon,\"
\"Will both awaken,\" she finished, a look of awe on her face.
\"Come, all this talk must be worrying the children. Let\'s get them back to their Safehouses before the Strikes begin again.\" He shooed a couple little ones towards the door.
\"Do you think they will tonight?\" she asked, a little fearfully.
He looked at her. \"Perhaps.\" He left through the door with the last of the children.
\"\'The world lies beaten and bloody\'\" she whispered into the empty room. \"What if that time is now?\" All that answered was the silence of oblivion and the sobbing of little children.
And then Destiny stirred.
