Harder To Breathe
Chapter 1/12
Thanks to Beth for the inspiration. This is really my second story posted anywhere. I hope you guys like it.
This story will be type of thing I have never seen before. It will be memories, not in order, of the Draco/Virginia relationship based on an album. The album used in these pieces is \'Songs About Jane\' by Maroon 5 - which is a great album.
Any reviews would be much appreciated, but not really needed. Thank for reading.

\'Harder To Breathe\'
“Virginia...” Draco started walking forward.
“No...don’t...just...don’t.” Virginia sat on the plush chair with her legs curled under her body. Her face was half covered by one of her hands.
“Would you just listen to what I have to say?” Draco tried to plead with her, to give her some sort of reason behind his actions. He was starting to get a bit flustered; she was not listening. “...Please?”
Virginia lifted her head up and stared him straight in the eye. “You swore you wouldn’t. You said you were done. How...how could you lie to me like that? About that! I wouldn’t have cared if you lied about...about...dragging mud into the house – but this is so much bloody more then some god forsaken dirt stain. You swore you were done!” She now had fresh tears streaming down her face. “You swore you were done with all that worthless drabble!”
How dare you say that my behavior is unacceptable
So condescending unnecessarily critical
I have the tendency of getting very physical
So watch your step cause if I do you\'ll need a miracle
Draco tensed up at the last statement. “This...this is not pointless drabble. It’s...it’s what I believe in. This is what-”
“This is what Draco? A way to get your kicks? Take up a less violent hobby! Merlin, take up gardening! Learn how to crochet! You...you...you fucking swore that you were done.” Tears were now streaming down her face, making the makeup that she carefully applied that morning run down her face. “If you think you are going to do that, you need to get out...I am sick of you making me...making me so tired.”
You drain me dry and make me wonder why I’m even here
This Doublsionsion I was seeing is finally clear
You want to stay but you know very well I want you gone
Not fit to funkin’ tread the ground I’m walking on
Draco looked a bit surprised. “You-you want me to leave...?”
“Yes - are you deaf? I said get out.”
“Fine, you know what. Just – fine. I am leaving.” Draco turned around and walked up the stairs to the bedroom they shared. He may have moved from his home years ago but he could still be a spoiled cunt if he so chose. He slammed around everything, all his actions exaggerated. He double slammed every drawer, door, and cabinet. Clothes were haphazardly thrown into his bag. He grabbed everything of importance and threw it into one of several bags. If he was leaving, nothing was going to be left behind.
Well, almost nothing was left behind.
When it gets cold outside and you got nobody to love
You\'ll understand what I mean when I say
There\'s no way we\'re gonna give up
And like a little girl cries in the face of a monster that lives in her dreams
Is there anyone out there cause it\'s getting harder and harder to breathe
Is there anyone out there cause it\'s getting harder and harder to breathe
When Draco made his way back down the stairs twenty minutes later, Virginia was no longer sitting in the chair. He saw her in the kitchen, making a cup of tea. He really didn’t want to leave, but if it was really what she wanted...
She looked up from what she was doing to see him by the door, holding a few bags and one larger one slung over his shoulder. Her eyes narrowed a bit, and she didn’t say a word. She just went back to twirling the tea bag around in the steaming water.
Draco closed his eyes and took a deep breath in, which was a bit difficult while holding everything he was. He didn’t say a word either; he just walked to the door and rearranged the bags so he could actually grab the door handle. The door opened with a creak, and he walked out. He took extra care slamming the door so loud, he was almost positive something fell and broke.
What you are doing is screwing things up inside my head
You should know better you never listened to a word I said
Clutching your pillow and writhing in a naked sweat
Hoping somebody someday will do you like I did
Draco walked down the stairs of their house, their home, and as he hit the bottom stair he apparated away with slight pop, and at the same time glass shattered against the door and a baby’s cries filled the air – both unnoticed by him

Virginia bound up the stairs, as fast as she could go with clouded vision. She walked into the little pink room and picked up the crying baby. She cooed and hushed it while walking back to their, well now her, bedroom. She had managed to hush the baby down, and get her back to sleep by the time that she was sitting comfortably in their – her – bed. Her fingers were running lazily up and down Ava’s back – a comfort for both her and the baby.
She wasn’t quite sure what to do next, exactly, so she just sat there.
Does it kill
Does it burn
Is it painful to learn
That it\'s me that has all the control
Draco, with the ever present ‘pop’, apperated into the nearest hotel – the infamous Leaky Cauldron; He got his room for one, and not three and went to mope in a alcohol induced pity party.
But, when he got there he didn’t know where to start, and didn’t know what to do. So, he just sat.
Does it thrill
Does it sting
When you feel what I bring
And you wish that you had me to hold
