Great Hall

The winner of today’s Gryffindor/Slytherin quidditch game would determine who wins the cup this year.

Before breakfast in the Great Hall Draco Malfoy sauntered and his bookends followed him to the Gryffindor table where he stared at the sitting girl, “Mudblood, I’ll pay you ₲2 (₤10/$23.70) to be banged by the winning Slytherin team.”

Harry and the rest of the Gryffindor quidditch team stood hands on wands. Professor McGonagall hurried from the Staff table to speak when…

“5 points from Slytherin Mr. Malfoy,” Professor Snape, he of the billowing robe, said “I will thank you to return to your House table.” Snape was positive if he had not interrupted Professor McGonagall, Draco would have detention until he was old and grey. Better 5 points than the 50 points the Old Tabby would have deducted besides he would get those points and more back in the next potions class.

Draco stood in shock. Professor Snape never took points from Slytherin.

“NOW!”

Draco couldn’t run fast enough.

Entrance Hall

After breakfast the students and staff left the Great Hall to prepare for class.

Harry said to Hermione, “I didn’t think even Malfoy could be that insulting.”

Hermione said, “Hmmmm, it would’ve been a tempting offer if he took my counter bet.”

“WHAT!!!” Ginny and Ron exclaimed.

“Oh don’t worry, he wouldn’t have taken the bet…” Hermione scoffed.

With no professor in sight Draco yelled, “YOU’RE ON MUDBLOOD! I, DRACO MALFOY, ACCEPT YOUR BET! NAME YOUR TERMS!”

Ginny whispered to Harry, “Is he really that stupid?”

Hermione had a grin a shark would be proud of, “500 galleons (₤2,500/$5,925) to each winning Gryffindor player and 2,000 galleons (₤10,000/$23,700) to me your gross insult when Gryffindor wins.” With her wand Hermione sketched the numbers in fiery letters in the air, “That’s a total of 5,500 galleons (₤27,500/$65,175). Put up or shut up Malfoy.”

“To see you on your knees where you belong, I accept!” Draco’s eyes widened briefly before his normally arrogant expression firmed, he declared.

“He really is that stupid,” Harry said and added, “his father’s going to be pissed.”

The Quidditch Game

In the Gryffindor quidditch locker room Captain Oliver Wood’s pregame pep talk was short and different, “Today we play like Slytherins.”

“500 Gs worth,” Katie Bell agreed.

The other teammates grinned.

Angelina helped adjust Katie’s quidditch armor over her sports bra. “You know a support charm would allow a better fit.”

“Maybe, but my bra won‘t disappear when some Slytherin perv casts a finite.”

The tenor of the game was set with Slytherin team captain Marcus Flint attempt to crush Gryffindor team captain Oliver Wood’s hand in the traditional ‘Lets-have-a-clean-game’ handshake. In return Wood ‘accidently’ kicked Flint’s ankle when he turned to go back to his team.

Harry climbed high and fast to try and find the snitch. He wanted to find it before anything bad could happen and Gryffindor loses. Draco followed Harry up and followed him rather than look for the snitch on his own.

The three chaser girls dominated the game from the start by racking up a quick series of goals.

In their drive to score the Slytherin chasers were in an arrowhead formation with the two beaters leading ( :<  and used their beater bats to hit anyone in the way. Hooch never called a penalty for these attacks. She did call a foul on Gryffindor for using an unsafe broom after it was damaged by such an attack.

Professor McGonagall was beyond angry. Slytherins never fouled, Gryffindors always fouled. Then she did something she thought she never would do. Minerva McGonagall interfered in a quidditch game. The next time Hooch blew her referee’s whistle it made no sound and the game continued with Gryffindor scoring twice more. Minerva McGonagall quietly returned her wand back in her robe.

With no Slytherin beaters to block incoming bludgers the Gryffindor beaters hit bludgers at the tight Slytherin chaser formation left, right and center. Slytherin chasers never scored once during the game.

Hooch blew and blew but no one heard a sound. Then she started to yell and no one heard a word. Professor McGonagall’s area silencing spell had been cast on Hooch’s robe.

When bludgers were not being hit at the Slytherin chasers Gryffindor chasers roughly invaded the V formation to ram and steal the quaffle from behind and score again for Gryffindor.

In a last ditch effort to win the game Draco tried to knock Harry off his broom rather than just follow him around.

Harry barrel rolled and dived down.

Draco hesitated until he saw Harry pull out of his dive and jinked to the right. ‘It isn’t a feint or Potter would’ve gone straight to the grass! Scarhead must’ve seen the snitch!’ Draco also went into a dive and looked so he could catch the snitch first. ‘Granger will be on her knees sucking my cock!’

Harry looped around a startled Oliver Wood back towards the center field.

Draco turned a tight 180o and was so close to Harry he could almost touch Harry’s broom.

Harry sped between Crabbe and Goyle and pulled up.

Draco blindly followed Harry between the two Slytherin beaters and couldn’t avoid crashing into the lead chaser. The other two chasers scattered in order not to be hit also and were easy targets for the Fred and George Weasley’s bludgers.

Harry calmly flew over to catch the snitch only inches over Draco and the lead Slytherin chaser’s heads where they were sprawled on the grassy pitch.

Hooch kept trying to blow and blow on her whistle that the catch was Slytherins but was ignored.

The End

A/N: Rolanda Hooch, the flying instructor and quidditch referee, must have been a former Slytherin and it shows in her referee calls in both the movies and books.
