Stories of a Pureblood and Mudblood

I'm currently writing this while writing A Brand New Life. I'm having a major block with the other story so I decided to write something lighter to help. I'm sorry this chapter is very short but I will update soon. Please rate and review! And check out my other story if you haven't already. Also I'm sorry if there are grammar or spelling mistakes, I proof read it myself and it's hard for me to catch mistakes.

Hermione Malfoy was quite peculiar. While her whole family had platinum blonde hair, she was a bushy haired brunette. The Malfoy family was known for their piercing silver eyes and when she looked in the mirror, murky brown ones looked back at her. She was not ugly, but she didn't have the gorgeous features of the Malfoys. Her mother and father loved her, but were disappointed they hadn't had a boy, her father more so. She was intelligent. That was one thing she prided about herself. She had always been more kind than her parents. She was in Slytherin, like her father and mother were. They never had faith she would be in their house. But in her first year she had prayed the sorting hat put her in Slytherin. She had no girl friends, considering she didn't fit in well with the other shallow girls in Slytherin. No other girls from other houses wanted to befriend her because of her parents and house. She had one friend in Hogwarts, Blaise Zabini. In a few hours, she would join him on the Hogwarts Express to begin their 6th year. He was not evil and shallow like other Slytherins. She missed him dearly and couldn't wait to catch up. She looked at herself once again in the mirror and levitated her bags, walking out of her room, into the manor.

Draco Granger was a muggle born. When he received the news that he was a wizard on his 11th birthday, he had never been happier. Draco had always thought of himself as special. To special to live a normal life as a muggle. While he had never been teased about his blood status, nearly everyone in the wizarding world had dropped such prejudices, he wasn't ashamed of it but he didn't speak of it often. On the way to his first day at Hogwarts, he had sat in the seat across from Harry and had became friends right away. They had both been raised by muggles and didn't know anything about the wizarding world. When they had found out about houses, Harry had wanted to be in Gryffindor right away. And Draco had asked to be in Gryffindor along with him. Draco had white-blonde hair and beautiful silver eyes, unlike his muggle parents. He looked nothing like anyone in his family. Draco was starting his 6th year, second in his class. Behind Hermione Malfoy, the Slytherin witch. He had always had a crush on Hermione, the second he saw her in first year. She had definitely never noticed him though. She was a Malfoy. One of the oldest and purest wizarding families. She would never notice a muggle born. He looked at himself in the mirror before setting out for King's Cross.

Draco said goodbye to his parents before walking through the barrier to take him to platform 9 3/4. Once he was through, he made his way onto the train to go sit with Harry. He hadn't seen Harry anywhere so he decided to go ahead and save a compartment for them. After he put his bags away he sat down and listened to his muggle music player. The door opened and he looked up, expecting to find Harry, but instead found Hermione. She was gorgeous. She was naturally beautiful which he really loved about her.

"Do you mind if I sit here?" Gesturing to the seat across from Draco.

"No. Not at all," he said quickly.

Hermione looked at Draco. She had known him since her first year, but never talked to him. He caught her eye when he was sorted in first year. And then when he almost beat her in every class, that caught her attention even more so. She knew he was a muggle born. Though she cared nothing about blood status, her father did. And most people saw her as shallow and racist because that's how her father was. Draco was gorgeous. He looked more like a Malfoy than she did. He probably would never want to be friends with a Slytherin, being a Gryffindor. And a she was a Malfoy on top of that. Originally, she had been looking for Blaise, but after not finding him anywhere, she decided to sit in the least empty cart. Draco was looking out of the window with something in his ears. She wondered what it was. Probably a muggle contraption. When she looked out of the window, she could see Draco looking at her out of the corner of her eyes. She looked at Draco and he looked out of the window. She raised an eyebrow. She laughed to herself, and he looked at her and raised an eyebrow.

Harry was looking in the carts for Draco. He looked into one and saw Draco and Hermione, talking and laughing and sharing headphones listening to a muggle music player. He jumped when he felt a hand on his shoulder, he looked back and saw Blaise.

"Leave them, mate." He turned to look at Blaise and nodded his head.

"Follow me, I have somewhere we can sit." He followed Blaise down the hall.

So far, he had learned Hermione's favorite color was blue, she hated flying, she was fond of the music he had played for her, "Hey Jude" by The Beatles was her favorite so far. She was absolutely fascinated when Draco had showed her the music player. Immediately wanting to know exactly how it worked, she asked him a million questions. She asked him if he had any other muggle things but he didn't so he shook his head. She looked disappointed. Hermione wasn't a bad person, like everyone had said. She was kind, unlike her parents reputation. He had enjoyed the whole time they had spent talking.

Hermione listened to Draco sing a muggle song to her. She was smiling like a mad person. Talking and laughing with Draco felt nice. He wasn't rude to her because of her reputation. He had given her a chance. He had also let her listen to his music thing. It was amazing. Even her and Blaise's friendship wasn't so free feeling. This would be the start of a great friendship.
