He couldn’t bloody believe it he had no idea where he was. He raised his wand again trying to find any type of landmark that could tell him where he was in this huge castle. Severus did not understand how after all these years he would still get lost. It made no sense. He knew though, that the real reason why he was lost was that magic sometimes had a sick sort of humor.

He here was at five o’clock in the morning on a Saturday trying find his way back to his quarters he had needed to check on a potion that he was making for Pomfrey. Severus made his way down to his dungeons making the necessary additions to the potion and ensuring that the potion was fine he carelessly made his way back to his warm bed when he realized that he had no idea where he was.

As he continued his way he noticed he must have been in what was a secret passageway, he pushed at tapestry and immediately recognized where he was.

He had magically, pun intended, managed to find himself on the seventh floor. In fact in was right in front of the headmaster’s office. Severus growled as he quickly turned around heading in the direction of the stairs that would lead him back to his third floor rooms.

Wanting to make his way back to comfortable bed Severus refused to allow his mind to wander a second time. So alert was he, that the sound of music immediately caught his attention.

Where the bloody hell is that music coming from, he thought. Following the sounds of slow jazzy beat, he found a door that should not have been there. Raising his wand he slowly opened the door to find something he would never had expected.

Anna silently made her way towards the Room of Requirement hoping not to run into anyone, mainly the old caretaker and his bitch of a cat. Not meeting anyone she quickly walked back and forth three times wishing for what she wanted the room to turn into.

As she made her way into the room she smiled at the magic of the place the whole castle in fact. She opened the bag that she brought with her and arranging her items. Anna reminded herself to thank her father for teaching her the charm to allow her I-pod to work. She made sure the volume was the max before she hit the shuffle mode and play. Placing the device on the vanity with her other items she walked toward the large shower turning on the water. As she adjusted the temperature she could the beginning of a song reverberating off the tiles. She loved this song soon she began to sing along while she washed her hair.

Severus had no idea that this would be what he would find when he opened this door. What appeared to be vanity with a bag that contained what he assumed was a school uniform, though he figured his assumption had to be fact due primarily because of what was gaining most of his attention. Singing. That was what had gained most of his attention, a girl singing. A girl singing in, again his assumption had to be correct, the shower.

If Severus had been in his normal state of mind he would have immediately made his presence known and would have demanded to know what was going on but he wasn’t in his normal state of mind. Instead he simply listening to girl who was singing a song he had never heard.

The girl sang with such passion and feeling he was stunned, he was enchanted, he was bewitched. There was nothing to do but to continue listening to her voice.

He couldn’t help wondering if there was a specific person she was singing about or if she just sang that way but he couldn’t help feelings of jealousy the mystery person.

He knew he shouldn’t be listening. The position he was in was terrible to say the least. Still, he couldn’t move until the girl, whoever she was stopped singing. He was beginning to wonder if she was even real or some mythical creature because the voice had somehow managed to freeze him.

As the tempo slowed and the music lowered he knew the song was coming to an end. Severus knew that if ever there was a time to make his presence known was now, that was his full intention, until another song started and the unknown girl’s voice began again. This song was a bit more upbeat and obviously from the male’s perspective however, that didn’t change the songs brilliance if anything it made it better.

Severus immediate thoughts were of Lily. This song was a perfect example of his love for her and her breaking his heart. He knew she had loved Potter and Potter had loved her but it hadn’t made his heart heal quicker and even at all.

That was certainly true the best part of him was his friendship with Lily then he had to go and mess that up. He couldn’t blame her from walking away.

When Lily walked away from him he didn’t think he would survive it in fact he almost didn’t but he knew that if Lily hated him then it would be nothing to how much she would hate him if he decided to take the cowards way out.

Enough, he thought.  Now is the moment that he would make his presence known. Her shower would be ending soon and it would only make things much worse but again before he could call out to the girl another began to start.

He heard her voice change slightly as the next verse started. The song was a duet and yet she sang both parts beautifully.

I saw ya yesterday with an old friend

Slowly he began to understand the words and couldn’t help finding them intriguing. It was obviously a song she loved to sing it with such passion perhaps even more than the songs before it.

He heard the shower turn off. He knew he would only have a small amount of time before the girl who was in the shower to come out. Doing the only thing he could think of he, quickly turned to face the door while he pulled out his wand performing not only a disillusionment charm but a notice-me-not spell as well.

He could almost feel as if she was singing directly to him. Severus got the distinct feeling that the girl was dancing as she was singing. Her voiced would subtlety change at different points in the song. He couldn’t resist he had to peek. Ever so slowly, Severus moved to face to the side. The girl had her back to him with a robe covering her body. But he was right about one thing she was dancing.

He was captivated like never before as she danced to the beat moving her body. She was breath-taking.

He couldn’t imagine anyone pointing out her flaws as far as he could see she had none.

Severus couldn’t help thinking about himself it was almost as if she was singing to him.

‘Whomever wrote this song sounds like a very angry young woman,’ thought Severus, as the girl continued to sing the ironical upbeat song. She was even clamping to the beat as well.

The music ended as did the dancing. Severus quickly moved his face forward he had already spied on the girl he didn’t want to make it worse. He could hear her as she got dressed and gathered her things preparing to leave. She took one last look around trying to spot if she left anything. Satisfied she had her belongings she quickly retreated from the room.

Severus waited a few minutes allowing the girl to move away. When he felt enough time had elapsed he made his way to his quarters, but not before adding to spell the room to alert him to anyone using the Room of Requirement at five o’clock in the morning again.

A/N Just an idea that came to me not sure if I’ll continue guess depends on the feedback.
